Guest CompleteDeka Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 aww, come on, his two series were 20 yrs ago, so he would be in his 40's now... i'd say he looks good for his age. Quote
durendal Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I guess. Not to mention that He's the only Main Rider that reprised his role (Kick and Punch Hopper excluded since they ain't the main rider), if I'm not mistaken. Quote
Guest CompleteDeka Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 ok, in order of appearance (this mean's voice as well), and i am gonna list secondary as well as main, these are the riders who's roles were reprised by the original actors Wataru - Kiva (kiva was shadowed alongside him) Yaguruma - Kick Hopper Kageyama - Punch Hopper Kusaka - Kaixa Nago - Ixa Zanki Todoroki (i know he appeared, voiced, at the end of the 1st blade episode, but i didn't wanna list him twice) Ibuki Asakura - Ouja Otoya - Dark Kiva Junichi - Glaive Miwa - Larc Shin - Lance Kotaro - Black/Black RX Quote
Bobby Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 You forgot about Amaki, who is Akira. She BRIEFLY transformed in the Kodama episodes of Hibiki. Quote
Guest CompleteDeka Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 i didn't forget about her, i just didn't know whether to put her or not as she never fully transformed in hibiki. i don't mind tho, u can count her if ya want Quote
Bobby Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 We only saw her from like the mid torso and down before the Kodama Puppet slammed her into a tree on the show. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 ok, in order of appearance (this mean's voice as well), and i am gonna list secondary as well as main, these are the riders who's roles were reprised by the original actorsWataru - Kiva (kiva was shadowed alongside him) Yaguruma - Kick Hopper Kageyama - Punch Hopper Kusaka - Kaixa Nago - Ixa Zanki Todoroki (i know he appeared, voiced, at the end of the 1st blade episode, but i didn't wanna list him twice) Ibuki Asakura - Ouja Otoya - Dark Kiva Junichi - Glaive Miwa - Larc Shin - Lance Kotaro - Black/Black RX I think durendal means the main rider of that main riders world. so in kiva world, wataru was not kiva. Quote
Guest CompleteDeka Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 thats fine, if you read my first line, i was only listing which actor's have reprised their roles, it was just an offshoot to durendal's post, not a counter post. see durendal also mentioned that he wouldn't count kick and punch hopper as they weren't main riders, but ur saying he also meant that they are not denizens of kuuga world. which he never mentioned. durendal Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 You know, I regret never to have watched the other Heisei Riders prior to watching Decade. After reading the Japanese Decade Wiki, I came to realized I missed the "reminiscent feeling" the show was trying to give when they presented the 9 rider worlds. After having watched Kabuto and currently watching Blade, I now got a better appreciation of the past episodes of Decade. It was just too bad that I didn't get the actual "feeling" the show was trying to portray while it was initially aired. I'm not sure if you guys understand what I'm saying, but I missed an important element that would enhance the show for me. On the other hand, Decade succeeded in its other goal. It got me to watch the past riders. Admittedly, I am now watching the past riders because Decade gave me the glimpse of the other riders and along with it the curiosity. I guess this is what they would call the dual purpose of the show. The Japanese really are ingenius. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 It's good that it got you interested in the genre then. I know that TVN is about to move onto another Rider project after Ryuki is done so you may be able to watch either Kuuga, Agito or a Showa era series for their next project. But I'm glad that you're liking the older past Heisei series. Quote

Toku Warrior Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 All I can say is that when the KR Decade Complete CD Box is released that they include that background music in it as I absolutely love it. Along with DiEnds background theme, DiEnds' personal theme and the theme of the Hibiki Final Form/Final Attack scene as well. Those are songs I'd love to have. I do plan on purchasing that at least from the Decade series. My hopes of also purchasing the Decadriver, FFR00 Decade figure and the Decade SIC figure are also starting to rise. I'm slowly saving up money for them. But all-n-all, that was a memoriable scene from the RX world arc. I wonder how they'll do Amazon and if he'll be there all the way for the last 3 episodes. Quote
durendal Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I'm tempted to buy the Decade Driver Myself. I can actually go down now, walk 50 meters to the anime store and buy it. My only problem is that I don't have a suit to go with it. I like the what it speaks when you insert a certain cardass. I just don't know where I can acquire those additional cards. But I guess I would want to save up when the SIC figures comes out. Anyway, back on topic. If I remember correctly, all the showa riders coexists in the same world. As proof, they all appeared in episodes 41-47 of Black RX. So technically, Tsukasa shouldn't be traveling to another world. And yeah, 5 more episodes to close the show. And instead of saying "the plot thickens", I guess I should be saying "The plot thins" Quote
Toku Warrior Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Correction, 3 more episodes. There's only 30 episodes for this series and Eps.28 will be airing this Sunday. As for what you said earlier about aqcuiring the additional cards for the Decadriver, you can get the 9 Final FormRide cards with the Final Form Rider figures (the ones that transform into weapons. The RideBooker comes with the AttackRider: Slash card and the first Final form figure, KR Decade, comes with Decade's Final AttackRide card. DiEnds figure comes with his FAR card and his Diendriver (soutenjuu) comes with his Henshin card and 2-3 other cards. That's about it. The others are either with the legend figures or are sold as specials within their representative booster packs. I want those two cards that come with the purchase of the movie tickets, the ones that depict Decade Complete Form and KR W. Quote
Guest CompleteDeka Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 omg, that was an epic episode. i was totally fanboying and rocking out, when the 2 minami's henshined together, and that final battle. i just felt that final battle was a complete homage to black (and RX grumble), considering that black is consistently voted the fans favourite showa rider. i loved that the final battle was completly decade-less, it was like a 5 min episode of black and RX, vs apollo geist. and yes, i adore that background music, and i want it ;D Quote
Toku Warrior Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 (edited) Eps.29 was truely great. The Amazon arc was nearly as great as the Black/RX arc. Plus the preview of Eps.30 showed me something truely grand. In Eps.30 we get the return of an original Heisei Rider actor who also portrays his original character. We get Tsubaki Takayuki to reprise his role as Kenzaki Kazuma from Kamen Rider Blade. Anyone who knows me should know that that bit of news truely makes my day. And to prove that it's true, here's a snapshot from the Eps.30 preview. (It's be placed in a spoiler ag in case no one wants to have it spoiled for them. Edited August 16, 2009 by Toku Warrior Quote
Tales Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Now this is strange.... It's like Toei is slapping its ownself. Now they have to find a good excuse for the recasts. Quote
Guest CompleteDeka Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 well, i spotted kendate and prince wataru. jus before blade fighting kiva. how awesome would it be for the originals to show up, and claim their powers back. as in, kenzaki taking the blay buckle off kendate to show him how its done. Quote
durendal Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Down to 2 more episodes, and Tsukasa still doesn't seem to have his memories regained. I'm still confused. Will anyone care to explain to me what the point of Decade's plot? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 heh heh, they are leaving it a bit problematic aren't they? I get the impression we are going to be left with a lot of unanswered questions. and maybe new questions to boot. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Well, I've read the reviews on the movie for Decade and about all that happened in it. The movie, unlike other Heisei Rider movies, does tie into the series and either supposedly takes place either before the final episode of just after the series ends. Quote
