Kentaro Miura the author of Berserk passed away on May 6th.  Berserk is one of the longest running mangas having begun in 1989.  Known for its stunning artwork, complex world, and for mature themes.  One of the true pillars of the Manga industry its rich lore, story, and art stood among piers such as Guyver, Bastard!!: Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, HunterxHunter, and One Piece.  Berserk consists of 363 chapters, currently volumes 40 have been collected.  Chapters 358-363 will be collected into volume 41.  Total volume sales have exceeded 50 million.

oh that's awful.
now that story will forever be unfinished.

unless he left some notes?

Absolutely heartbreaking. I've been sat here crying and listening to the 1997 OST all morning. 😢

RIP Miura. RIP Berserk. Thank you for everything.

Sad news😢 Berserk is my third fav franchise after Guyver and Baki.

I only got into it last year and knew it was one of the great unfinished manga.

I am sorry to hear he died.
