Purgstall Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Gah, I forgot to put Blue Gender on my favorite animes on my list. How could I forget to put such a badass show on there? Quote
Renegade Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) Kinda boring. Submarine warfare is even more boring than space warfare which is boring enough. One of the reasons I found Star Trek boring, battles are limited in their action. Edited January 16, 2009 by Renegade Quote
Larz Zahn Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 thats not fair... star trek didnt have battles... their ships just blew up... from getting touched. Quote
*BananaKing Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I like space battles that include mecha Quote

*BananaKing Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I just started re-watching some old gundam series (One Year War and Post OYW) Did anyone used to watch 08th MS team or 0083? I used to remember staying up until midnight to watch 0083 when I was younger. Me and my brother loved it, but that was back when adult swim was only on one night a week and it was a fusion of anime and comedy. Those were truley the good old days Quote

Those were truley the good old days That's how I saw 8th MS Team too! 0083 was too slow paced, and I didn't watch enough to get the plot as the time though. Quote
*BananaKing Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 The last few episodes of 0083 were really cool Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Well I finally watched Hellsing, and its amazing! I couldnt get enough of it, so I watched all 4 ultimate's on youtube, and then watched the Japanese version of 5 with subs. That was so incredible I cant wait for 6 to come out! Captain Han is so amazing! I've also been getting caught up on Yu-gi-oh dawn of the duel, and Yu Yu hakusho as well. Quote
*BananaKing Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 You wait until you see the werewolf fight! Also the anderson vs alucard battle! Quote
ParaParaJMo Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Of course including Guyver both the TV series and the OAV series I like: Gundam (Zeta, the original, 08th MS Team, 0080, Wing, X) Street Fighter II The Animated Movie and Street Fighter II V Ashita no Joe Hajime no Ippo Initial D Fullmetal Alchemist Transformers Cowboy Bebop Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Aura Battler Dunbine Macross Gungrave Trigun Death Note Hokuto no Ken Grappler Baki Skullman Tekkaman Blade GoLion/Voltron Ghost in the Shell Appleseed movie Evangelion Nadesico GTO Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers Berserk Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 Those are some really good shows. Has anyone watched Tekken "the Animated Movie" Kazuya's english voice is the same as that of Zectors/Zx-tole in the recent Guyver series. Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) Now as for the SF series. SF II V was decent. It's a 24+ episode series which follows Ken, Ryuu and Chun Li. SF Alpha is a more polished anime style version though I have yet to see this series, only pictures. SF Alpha Generations was actually a movie based around Ryuu fighting the Dakr Hadou within himself and a few other things here and there. Nothing special about this one. Well I finally saw one of the SF OVA's. I think it was the Ryu fighting his Dark Hadou, because he was fighting Akuma and he was in the movie fighting the urge to use that power. It wasnt that great. When I was little I remeber seeing ,breifly, a television series of MK, and SF. I dont remember much about it but from what I remember I did like it. I am confused how DBZ is not an anime. I agree its one of the animes that made anime boom. DBZ should be respected as one of the greatest series or at least a legend. I know I do agree with you. I consider it an anime legend, and I hate the new Funimation Re-dub! It sucks something aweful. They didnt even use the Bram Faulconer music! But I never thought it wasnt an anime, it has a manga series! It was some retarded people in an anime club in Ohio that yelled at my friend that DBZ was too American to be considered an anime. I still need to watch Blue Gender, but I am afraid that i'll accidently get a re-dub instead of an orginal. Edited April 6, 2009 by Mirabilis Quote
ParaParaJMo Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Wait a minute, there are people who seriously believe that Dragon Ball Z isn't anime? Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Apprenatly some americans dont. Atleast from what my friend said. I never met these people, but he said they were pretty determined that DBZ was indeed "TOO americanized to be anime, and it isnt." Personally, I think if they really think that, they are just plain dumb. Quote
LordSpleach Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 That is weird. DBZ is definately anime, end of discussion. I'll go watch FLCL to regain my center. Quote
Mirabilis Posted April 21, 2009 Author Posted April 21, 2009 (edited) Yeah, its been a long time since I last saw that show. I think I was either 8 or 9.
