*Kenji Murakami Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Well, the wind has stopped, thank blarg. And it doesn't seem as muggy today as it did yesterday. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 It was incredibly muggy today; not pleasant, but I found something to entertain myself while I was being baked by heat: This one isn't actually a Nostalgia Critic review, but for all that it's fun. Heck, it expresses my opinion of that loathsome crap perfectly well. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 i don't understand. muggy plus heat? muggy is usually cold in my experience. can you describe muggy for me? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 Muggy, insofar as I've heard the word used, means the kind of heat that seems to cling to you. Think of a warmer-than-lukewarm bath, but without the water or the option of getting out, then you'll get the basic idea. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 oh i see. it is me that has the word wrong in my mind. I always thought it sounded like muddy mixed with foggy, so I thought it was really dull overcast type weather. but it seems it's really hot and humid. that's what the heat in my country is mostly like. i wish we could get dry heat, it would be so much easier to deal with. LordSpleach Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Those 'movies' are so bad I can't watch a mock review of the crap. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 In it's defence - not the movies of couse, the movies blow goats - the clips of the NC are extremely funny even out of context. The creator of the video chose well. Quote
LordSpleach Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I'm not knocking the Nostalgia Critic is just I can't stand to watch a clip from those movies. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 I've been watching a lot of playthroughs of old Sega games lately, and I've really enjoyed seeing them. I wasn't really much of a gamer back in the day - no real patience for them - and I'm still not that good, but I do love watching people who are. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 2, 2009 Author Posted July 2, 2009 I've just discovered how much I admire the makes of the series Band of Brothers. I can't really say I enjoy it, since it's about WW2 and has a bit more graphic violence than I enjoy in a show, but I do like watching parts of it. Oh, and this music video is very well put-together: Warning: not for the faint of heart. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOtUrZaFEM8 Seriously, I'm not kidding. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 2, 2009 Author Posted July 2, 2009 One of Mom's friends is coming over today. Later, of course, when everyone's up, but I don't know if I should be looking forward to this or not. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Well, the visit went off a lot better than I was expecting, though Heath and Mom had a lot more to say than me. The woman - my mom's friend - who was visiting us brought her daughter, and Heath found out that she was a fan of Supernatural just like her. Needless to say, she and my sister headed into her room and stayed there for a couple hours just talking. They even lust after the same character. All in all, it was a pretty fun day. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Yeah; Heather's her name. I call her Heath, and I used to call her Heahoo when I was a little kid. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 I can't believe it's going to be my birthday next month; it doesn't feel like it's been a whole year yet. It's weird. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 I can safely say that I've had my first Fourth of July picnic this year; it was a small, two-person affair, the way most of the things I do tend to be, and I loved it all the more for that. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 An old favorite song from my childhood. Still good after all these years. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 sounds similar to pat benatar. oh, you had a twoperson picnic? was this a date? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 5, 2009 Author Posted July 5, 2009 No, I went picnicking with my mom. I don't actually date. I think she might have been a member of that band; I'm not sure. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 Okay, the movie itself was fairly crappy, but this vid is excellent. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 Geez, and I thought I'd expirienced great Musical/Filmic synchronicity before; this is perfect! Quote
Toku Warrior Posted July 7, 2009 Posted July 7, 2009 Now that's a nice video Kenji. I enjoyed that one. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 I know. The synching is great, the song is perfect, and the characters were very well-chosen. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 Is anyone else here a fan of the Angry Video Game Nerd? I'd post one of his videos, but I think they're just a little too salty for this site. Still, he had the funniest way of completely freaking out. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I watched one of the videos once. I can't remember. I like to watch that other guy, the one who talks really fast. Quote
