Renegade Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I liked the artwork for the latest episode, but again Renji's just flexing his muscles. Its nice that he's fighting with a sword instead of that unwieldely puppet. I just hope we get some good fight scenes in, and maybe Ichigo will LEARN TO FIGHT? Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Gasp! That's treason! The main character has no need to learn to fight if he can win without having to! Seriously though, I highly doubt Ichigo's going to learn how to properly use a sword. Short of getting emergency training from some Shinigami, Ichigo's likely to just keep increasing his rietsu, and nothing else. Quote
durendal Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) (un)fortunatelyHopefully, Ichigo's ass gets kicked. Edited February 27, 2008 by durendal Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Shhh... this topic is about the anime. The Manga information should be kept separate from this topic. Quote
durendal Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Oh sorry (edits above post), I'm not up to date with the anime. So they are currently showing renji fighting right now? Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Renji's fighting Szayel Apporro (or whatever his name is), Ichigo's fighting Ulquiorra, and Rukia just finished off Arroniro. Hmmm...why isn't there a discussion topic for the Bleach manga? Quote
Mirabilis Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I started watching bleach, the may I moved down to Texas, almost three years ago. I saw people in my school reading the manga my soph year back up in Ihio before I moved. And I thought it was stupid. But when I saw episode 121 I was amazed at it. Ever sense I've been a huge fan of bleach. I am up to date with the manga, and they have, so far, five filler seasons I believe. They are: The Bounts The Assault The New Shini Gami Captains The Beast Tale Ark And The Spirit of the Zanpukto's And I don't know if anyone knows this, but they are making a new Bleach Movie, and I can't wait for it to come out! Quote
Mirabilis Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I don't know if anyone else is up to date with the manga, but I just read chapter 423 "Farwell Swords", and I was tearing up. It was really good, especially with what has happened in the previous chapter. Quote
durendal Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I'm up to date with the manga. There'll be 2 weeks gap until the next chapter. I wonder what's going to happen next. There has got to be a reason why such a state happened to Ichigo. Unless they plan to do a time leap here, as it seems to be pretty popular after a giant arc ends. Anyway, I'm still not up to date with the anime. So it's probably fillers by now. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I put spoiler tags just in case no ones read that far into the manga. I think that after the defeat of Aizen and the loss of Ichigo's Shinigami powers they will try to have Isshin and Urahara try and help Ichigo regain his powers and master the Mugetsu without it making him lose his powers once again. Then they'll probably move onto an arc revolving around that Spirit King they mentioned a few times before. Quote
Mirabilis Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Well, here's my two cents on the matter. Well I think that, either Ishin will give him his powers, like Uryu's dad did for him. OR Hollow Ichigo will take over his body, and after he kills Aizen, Ichigo will become the main villain that will have to be killed. But I would much prefer my second theory. Quote
Mirabilis Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Anyway, I'm still not up to date with the anime. So it's probably fillers by now. Ummm.....I don't know if your refering to the english dub, but to let you know. we did just finish the fight with Tosen. Quote
durendal Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Mirabilis, I would really love to answer your predictions, but I would rather not and let you enjoy the show spoiler free. Anyway, I just saw a glimpse of the episode summary, and I say, its coming very close to the manga. So I don't know if they are going to put filler prior to the final sub-arc, or just finish the whole arc and put fillers, or simly insert fillers in the middle of the arc like what they are doing to Naruto. Quote
*V Guyver Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I'm enjoying the show, still a little unhappy that Chad and others still remain underpowered when compared to their comrades.Chad is my favorite character, and it was him in episode 5 that helped win me over to bleach completely. The art, plot and the fights are pretty steller. And Surprisingly the fillers aren't half bad, while the movies are surprisingly engaging. Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 The art, plot and the fights are pretty steller. And Surprisingly the fillers aren't half bad, while the movies are surprisingly engaging. I've always found the movies to be the perfect extension of a shonen series like Bleach, One Piece and Naruto. The movies all usually have the same premise as a complete story arc. They take an idea for a story arc that could run 20+ episodes, and condense everything into a movie running time. Now, I've been on record as saying I hate filler arcs. However, if you compress an entire arc into a movie running time, I like that a LOT better, as it usually skips all the stupid boring, out of character crap that can be added, in favor of a quicker plot and getting right to the important stuff (Drama, fighting etc... ). The ONLY problem that can arise, is if you don't know the main characters of the TV show, or aren't up to date with said show ( and thus character power ups etc... ). You may get a little lost, but can probably still enjoy it. But they all tend to stick to the basic plot: - Introduction of main characters/reminder of who they are - Introduce Movie Central characters - Small fight where nothing is won, but maybe lost. - Plot/Training/traveling to where baddie is/for big fight - Big fight - Ending It actually fits most Shonen movies pretty well ( Especially Bleach, One Piece and Naruto's movies ), and if you look at it, it's also the same basic premise for a story arc in each of those series too ( not just the fillers either). But that works. You get to see the main character(s) whip out their big badass moves without having to wait many weeks of episodes to see each one, and you usually get a nice, quick story, despite not being canon, out of loved characters. I can actually say that I like some of the movies plots more than some of the official plots ( and definitely more than a lot of the filler.) That and the movies always look freakin fantastic, with no cheaping out on the animation budget. Quote
*V Guyver Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 true on many points, but as good an action movie as it would be. It bothers me if there's nothing noteworthy of the plot. I mean, yeah I liked some of the Dragon Ball movies because they were pretty stylish, but god, almost all of their plots were crap. However, Bleach does the same thing but you feel bad for many of the characters and their fates. In comparison, lts of other franchise movies have had mixed results. Look at Naturo, 2 great movies, but the rest were pretty average. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Whoa, whoa, whoa! What the hell was that? Did anyone else just watch this weeks episode? They just used a chapter from the latest arc and animated it before the final showdown between Ichigo and Aizen. What the hell are they planning now by doing that??? Quote
durendal Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Were you talking about the Hell Arc? if so, I think they specifically made that chapter to tie up with the upcoming bleach movie. If that's not it, sorry, I can't help you. Quote
*V Guyver Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 yeah it's a tie in for the movie. While the regular arc continued in a seperate release. Quote
Mirabilis Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I am sorry I havent been caught up to speed sense Ichigo's father came to the rescue and started fighting so what's been going on? I read the manga so I know what happens, but I'ma meh right now in the anime... Quote
odin Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) whoa, bleach suddenly got interesting again since the soul society arc. this new arc the fullbringer arc has some nice twists and the new villain is actually more evil than Azien ever was for me, your thoughts on it? have you guys have gotten the chance to watch it? Edited July 12, 2011 by odin Quote
Mirabilis Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) Personally I am completely dissapointed in the way the story has headed. I've been following this whole "fullbring" arch sense it started, and I think it's a mochary of what bleach stands for. Every single item has souls? Paper/ Pencils? Lamps? Walls? Strings? do they all pass on? Are their Soul Reapers for them? I think that is extremely lame, and I just plainly don't care for it. Granted the action is cool, but honestly i think it's a joke of an arch. At first, I thought the "Fullbring" when it was first starting out, was going to be items that held spiritual singificants to the individual and through that item, they were able to harness their spiritual power. I.E. Chad's gold coin. Turns out I was completely wrong on that theory. I see this arch as the majin buu saga of DBZ. This new villain I think it's really a joke. Honesty I don't really see him as all too evil. More like a punk, but he hasn't really done anything "Evil" per say, at least not yet. other then putting himself in the memories of ichigo's friends but even so, how is that even evil? He's merely in someones memory he hasnt actually harmed them, atleast not that I've seen. Aizen isn't out of the picture by no means. I hope I don't sound rude when I say I don't see how this new villain is more evil then Aizen, when Aizen was going to genocide over 100,000 souls and erase them from exsistance. Carve a giant crater in the earth. Enter the Soul Society kill evryone who posed a threat. Enter the Soul King's Realm and murder everyone inlcuding the King. and Then go back to Ichigo and eat him. How is that not as evil as this new guy who so far has only put himself in the memories of ichigo's friends, and killed some of his own comrades? Personally, this is just my own opinion, but this has had to be apart of Aizens plan all along. Start a war, obtain ultimate power, be captured, imprisoned, (which is right in the soul society) and then he can just bust out whenever he wants and do his genoecide. Besides that point Gin is still M.I.A. and we still have a ton of bankai's that have yet to be revealed including aizens so there's no way we've seen the end of him. Curios though whatever happened to all the visoreds? Edited July 22, 2011 by Mirabilis Quote
durendal Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 So is Ichigo the uber shinigami now, with all that power flowing into him? Hard to believe that some of them actually agreed to come to Ichigo's aid. Then again, Ichigo beat the crap out of everyone of them. Well, almost all of them. I still fail to understand how you would come to respect a person who beat the crap out of you. Then again, after Ichigo beat his current enemy, will he still be able to regain what was lost to him? If he will, then won't this make him the uber, uber shinigami? Or will he be able to return those that he borrowed? In case you were wondering what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the latest chapter of the manga. I wrote this in as much as a vague manner that won't need any spoiler tags, but still be understood by updated readers. Quote

I wrote this in as much as a vague manner that won't need any spoiler tags, but still be understood by updated readers. Well, he DID save pretty much the entire world AND Soul Society. Plus: - Ikkaku - Fighting is how Ikkaku came to like Ichigo. He was one of the first Shinigami to respect Ichigo's power. - Kenpachi - Same as Ikkaku for the most part. He naturally no doubt wants to fight him again. - Toushiro - Unless they are including Movie 2 as canon, I am not sure why he'd really be there... Except maybe for having defeated Aizen, which might have meant a little more to him than most. - Byakuya - As we saw in the Arrancar arc, Rukia is his pride... And Ichigo went against everything to save her during the Soul Society arc. - Renji - Other than the fact they can be very similar at times... Ichigo saving Rukia was all he needed to become an ally. - Rukia - Well... That one goes without saying. As for Ichigo's new powers... I don't think he's going to "Lose" them again. I think he just needed a big enough jolt of energy to get his own powers to reawaken. As Ginjo kind of said, " 1 Shinigami's Powers wouldn't be enough". Which, would probably be true... But Urahara is smarter than that. My question so far, is if Ichigo can still use Bankai, and as well, his Mask? Zangetsu (Sword) did go through a cosmetic change with the new powers, but still seems to be on the Shikai level, as Ichigo was able to use Getsuga Tensho. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Ah man, if I am correct, they aired the final episode of the anime this week. After 366 episodes, 2 OVA's and 4 movies (8 years worth), the anime is finally over? It was great while it lasted if that's true but the manga is now on its final arc so the series might start up again in the future once the manga is finished. Quote
