Fan-Fcition - who do you want more detail on?

It's odd this, but there are times when you're in bed dying form being ill that you've the best ideas.

Basically the rewriting idea has had me thinking a lot about the core of what is the fan-fiction. Basically you've 3 stores merged together.

1. The Live Action Guyver movies.

2. The comics from Takaya (based on the Viz translations 1-7 for names and then following books).

3. Fan-fction has it has being the last 10 odd years which overall is grand (I'd not be here if I disliked it) but has many lose treads and ideas from both 1 and 2 that don't quite merge together perfectly.

Basically thinking of the rewrites has ideas going through my head and I might has well share some of the ideas that will be present in the rewrite of Union and also what to expect for the next fiction story (has it will not be based after 7 days).

Sooo Union:

This will start of very differently to how it did before. It will start off an hour before D-Day (Destiny Day). The day that ACTF recaptures Washington DC and will go a lot more heavily into the background of ACTF and give some brief insight into what to expect of story 8 too with Sean having flash backs of events leading up to D-Day.

The whole of this part above will have a villain in the shape of a hyper-zoanoid that will be killed by Guyver US after a hard battle. Gone will be the idea of "useless Sean who didn't know how to use his armour without Sho's help". This will be a proper down and dirty fight that a Guyver who defeated a Guyver Zoanoid would be capable of.

Sho will head to the USA in the aftermath of the above. A more logical reason will be given for this (news being cut off form the internet and Tetsuro nerdy powers being of use fighting info about an American Guyver and finding proof it's not Agito who they both do not trust.

This will lead onto a more realistic rewrite from here and will set the tone for future rewrites.

Guyver US: Origins

Basically I've come to the conculstion a long time ago that the main foundation to the Fic is the comics of Takaya. Power levels etc are based on this. In fact the whole past present and future of the fan-fiction can in all ways be tied in and with ideas from this because I'm such a fan of his work. Strange Worlds is an example of the movie characters having a more fan-fic level adding to the fiction that works good with how the Zoalords respected and treated Fulton Balcus. As basicaly it's only a fan-fic idea that he's in the same story has Alkanphel.

Mutronics (The Guyver) isn't the nicest movie to watch. Taking the above into account I'm not about to blow apart the movies impact to the story and give no respect to the ideas and plot elements that where in it. Saying that it still sucks bad in terms of use of the Guyver and makes complete BUGGER ALL SENSE how that could ever happen in the fan-fiction.......

Saying that I will maintain the following

At the beginning of time, aliens came to the Earth to create the ultimate organic weapon. They created Mankind. By planting a special gene into man they created the ZOANOIDS - Humans who can change at will into super monster soldiers. Eons later, the Zoanoid leader, called the ZOALORD, has awakened formed the Chronos Corporation to further develop the Zoanoid technology for world domination. Among the alien remains, was found the "Unit" - a bio boosted alien armor. Worn by the aliens it serves as an ordinary shield. If the wearer is human it increases his natural powers a hundred fold - he becomes the "GUYVER." But how to activate it remains a mystery. Dr. Tetsu Segawa, a research scientist at Chronos, senses danger if this "unit" is activated by the Zoalord. Now the doctor has stolen it and is on the run.

Soooo here's how this will work and what to expect in the next story I'll be doing.

In the fic named "Guyver US: Origins" you will read about basically the same plot overall that happened in Mutronics BUT with a large has hell exception. The Guyver will be used like it was directly from the Comics of Takaya. Yes Sean will know self defence but when he bitch slaps a human the guys head will fly off killing him instantly. Gone will be the comedy and crap but the story will stay largely the same.

It will borrow some elements from the comics in that a new character will be introduced that will be a fore runner to Enzyme 1, something that can die and actually disolve a Guyver... not it magically happening itself.

Most important changes will be a heavy backstory to Fulton Balcus the Zoalord in Mutronics. Fulton will still be a Zoalord made byt he Creators. But he's no longer a combo of Alkanphel, Guyot and Valkus but a stand alone character that has to fit into the Guyver books. As such he'll be a Uranus made prototype of a Cotnroller before Alkanphel was made. He is based on reptiles for his zoaform which explains his Zoalord Form. But unlike the movie it will be a lot more lethal and fast. He will use shielding (that would take a full double mega-smasher to kill him because of) and more of the basic powers common to Zoalords.

how he fits into Chronos is the next plot and more so how he fits into the Comics and the fic correctly. Fulton Blacus awoke like discribed in the movie. But in more recent times. LA was founded in 1781, as such it's a recent development and gives room to the following idea. Fulton Balcus awoke recently within in the last 100 years. He founded Max Pharmaceuticals in LA. It grew and make zoanoids based on information he had in the site he awakened in that also had a dormant Unit he kept secret. Max Pharmaceutical in the late 80's came into contact with Chronos. by this time the 11 had already decided on and already had the Zoa-crystal for Guyot who would be the 12th Zoalord of Chronos. It was decided for Fulton to remain outside of the 12 but a respected Zoalord none the less. Equal in rank to that of Valkus who was viewed second only to Alkanphel.

To tie this more into the fan-fiction and explain the differances in comic and movie stories Fulton will be tied more into the fan-fiction for history. Fulton unlike Alkanphel hates the Gen instead of the Uranus. The Gen used the Utah relic has a test ship (also a for a source of Unit's to use against the Guyver Zoalord much later on). The Gen used information they got from Fulton to find that ship and also Alkanphel (who would have seen Fulton killed off possibly has an uneeded prototype). The Gen used Fulton in their tests of the potyo-type Guyver's. In a battle with the Primitive Guyver (which saw the Relic in Dark Hero's flash backs damage) Fulton was badly hurt. Like Alkanphel he hid in a damaged ship but the damage ship was located in what is now LA. The Unit Fulton took from Utah he could not activate. Unaware it had already being modified by the Gen like all Utah Relics to only activate on lesser zoaforms/humans.

this will also give an insight to the Creation of Zeugma (someone again who Fulton hates) that they created from genitc info they got from the sleeping Alkanphel. Yes the Gen knew of him, but viewed him too damaged to be of use and Fulton has basically... a "forgotton needless prototype".

In modren times Dr. Tetsu Segawa was trying to figure out a way of unlocking it so Fultron could use it. Fearing this he took the only known unit Fulton had access too. The Utah Relic since being covered in Rock being impossible for him to find.

Much lik the movie Fulton in the end will try to remove the Unit G from Sean with his mouth... this gives an opening for Sean to put an end to him with a full Mega-smasher. But the fight will be a much tougher fight not just some giant thing running around that Sean jumps on to cut off an head spike....

"Dark Hero" ties in much easier. Only minor changes to fights to show Sean is more used to his Unit after learning more about his weapons from the fight with Fulton though holds back from using his full powers at times, the unit that pushes him to fight has it puts it (really his own self), that part of him enjoys kicking them around the place.

Overall nothing much needs to change here, only it's Guyot who is the zoalord Crain is talking too. Guyot was sent to clean up the mess of Chrons LA. It was from him he got the idea of getting a Guyver unit. It's from captured research from Dr. Tetsu Segawa that he also learned that the Guyver US was not worth his attention personally because possibility that the Creators modified the unit and that Fulton aluded too there being the possibility that they where modified to stop him or another Zoalord from using them. As such he was trying to fix this block and was looking at Chronos research on Relics point and their newly required Unit's to find the answer to Unlocking Fulton's. Though if he could have the Unit it was still worth it.

In the end Crain failed, he went to Japan and destroyed his research on LA so Chronos didn't know of his plans for the US Guyver and hoped to capture the Japanese Guyvers who reepesented a more appealing target being unmodifed units.

Sooo thats where I am at the mo idea wise for the next story.

Interesting. I always wanted/wondered on how to a proper Guyver movie script t hat fits in with the manga. I once toyed with the idea of recutting the movie myself.

Anyway, so if the Utah units were modified to activate on lesser zoaforms and humans, then would that explain why they look much more organic than the others?

I love it! Sounds awesome to me. I had once played out similar ideas in my head, but not into much detail as you have. Accept in mine, Sean ended up being refered to as Guyver 0. lol. But in WG, the title is already taken.

But your ideas fit in perfectly well with the Takaya main-stream story.

As for the ship that Crain got his unit from, will you have it destroyed from Sean's Mega Smasher, will he still send it away, or will it have any real effect in the future at all of the fic?

Will Isis's friend, the Navigator Zoalord Kirsten, play a bigger role in the future assassin guyver stories? The thing I like most about the Assassin Guyver fiction is that we get to see things from the Chronos point of view, from Isis dealing with what she's become to Alfred Drano trying to juggle his duties as both a servant of Alkanphel and a father to his daughter. And of course, we get to see a young Zoalord befriend a guyver of all things, shocking

Its cool to see that not all Zoalords are inherently evil (I like the shade of grey angle, kinda reminds of Gundam, another series where both sides are out to get the other but have both good guys and bad guys on their sides). I'd like to see Isis interact more with other zoanoids, Zoalords, and guyvers within the Chronos ranks, basically make more friends and rivals and build a bigger cast around herself (poor dear's so lonely ). Its a shame Zygote left before the two of them could become real friends, oh well, maybe they'll meet again?

The Navigators will most likely not get more detail in the rewrite (none of the stories really give that chance). But that's not to say they'll not get more detail in later stories, most likely the next Assassin fic which at the moment like past ones based on the Ark.

The story around Zygote and XT9 will be a a lot more detailed in the re-write. So yeah that's a good possibility for getting more detail.

It also occurs to me that we know little of the guyver zoanoids beyond them being simply that, zoanoids who were lucky enough to stumble across guyver units (except me Guyver Powered Zerebubuse who has an extinction device inside his unit ). I mean, its cool if he and warrior guyver vamore aren't meant to have very well developed personalities or backgrounds beyond being guyver zoanoids, but it would be interesting to see what goes on inside their heads or who they were before (I imagine WG vamore was both honored and grateful to be promoted from cannon fodder to one of Chronos's most powerful champions).

Well i don't think there is much in their history. 1 could easily imagine possibilities; they were either nobodies and Chronos gave them a way to do something important with their lives. They could have volunteered for a spot in Chronos' army. Or they could have been easily picked off the streets. However now that they have units and actively have their own wills they still swore fealty to Chronos. Many things could be going through their heads.

it would be interesting to see a story from a zoanoids point of view though from their human origins all the way up to when they finally are in a major conflict.

Jason's sister is also someone of interest to look into I just realized...She's been through alot thanks to Crystallite...and who knows? How interesting would it be if during her rampages she made a new enemy amongst the Chronos forces?

Well, I guess I mean that its possible there may be someone who survived Crystallite's rampage and now wants Jenny's head (could be ACTF or Chronos, just a thought, I could be way off...I like debating the possibilities). God knows she'll have ALOT of angst to work through, having to live with everything she did for the rest of her life. :

Oh, and eventually I'd liked to see the story of how Tonnin became what he is now and later came back under Chronos control (his fight with Alkanphel had to have been epic) :mura:

In that case I'm just interested in seeing more of Isis and her Navigator Zoalord friend, perhaps learn Tonnin's whole story and meet more of the Disciple Zoalords. The inner workings of Chronos has always interested me the most :mura:

Oh, and I'm sure everyone's waiting with bated breath to see what will become of Lord Alkanphel when he finally emerges from that cocoon...

I mean he was captured after Solom's death and the Creator mindbomb in Part 3 of Revenge.

As far as the inner workings of Chronos, that is one of the reasons why I liked Guyver 4's story so much. Not so much her but aspect of seeing Chronos inner workings.

Not much is going to be changed in the current story though thats up on the site now getting another hit at adding to the carnage Guyver Zoalord did is both fun and overwhelming at the same time, more so in that we know more now, lots more now about how really really lucky Warrior guyver was to suvive that fight. So in the rewrite this will need to be re-inforced. Though saying it'll not be changed is a bit off, there is a whole new part before what is up on the site currently as most of the characters introduced in Time War come back in later stories, e.g. Kron, Zeugma etc.

Reeve will be a much more developed character, and will be in the story long before he was even a zoalord.

For those of you who've read the lastest story, basically Time War will be treated the same in the rewrite with characters getting a lot more development. So that when Reeve gets a Guyver unit, you know why he's basically gone insane and is totally out of control and basically death in carnate to those that wronged him. But also why he likes to play with his prey (in otherwords why he didn't just outright kill WG for a laugh).

Need to test the waters here. Time War has it's new start, but as this pretty much is a totally new story (you've seen flash backs here and there or seen characters talk about it, but basically this will be a fully new part) that links into Time War. Sooo anyway here's the new start, it will also show who is the villan of the first part of the story (all good stories need a villan!).

Utah – Tens of thousands of years ago

Zeugma and the Tribe of the Great Snake readied for war deep in the mountains of Utah they had retreated to their tribe’s ancestral home. Kron her mate had brought war to her people and with the survivors of his old tribe the Black Fang they had conquered the smaller tribes around them. She knew her warlord mate well and knew this would be so they could challenge the Tribe of the Form again.

Two days ago they did. They had lost that battle and now they were being hunted down. History had repeated itself she though thinking of when the great warrior joined her tribe all those years ago. Her father thought that the great warrior would make her tribe stronger. It had but the Tribe of the Form had taken notice of this rising power and sought to crush it. This lead to war for survival and her tribe was losing. Pushed back now to its ancestral home the final strong hold of her tribe she hoped there they could turn the tide of battle.

They had found them. Off in the distance Zeugma could see men coming towards them wearing their distinctive wooden face masks of beasts. It was said the Tribe of the Form could turn into these beasts; Kron though had never seen such things before and said they used the myth to scare their opponents. Moving up hill Zeugma split her forces as planned. Kron and his strongest men moved up the hills into the trees. Zeugma and a group of warriors stayed in the middle.

As the first men of the Tribe of the Form got close enough Zeugma’s people took advantage of their elevated position and threw their spears. With deadly accuracy of a hunter’s tribe their spears found their mark impaling the enemy. They though where simply outnumbered for each man that they downed more would take his place. Zeugma signalled her forces to fall back. Behind her was a crevasse with steep sharp sides. Her people knew this home land well and Kron as planned positioned him men for the attack.

The men of the Tribe of the Form saw Zeugma with her distinctive blond hair in the distance. They knew she was the leader of the tribe and all clan members now targeted her. Zeugma wasn’t a fool and realised she had being spotted judging by the sheer amount of men that ran her direction. She turned around and ran. Her people had being warned what to do if she had being spotted. Kron had warned her of what the tribe done to his Clan Father in battle. The Tribe of the Form was known to kill opposing clan’s leaders, to kill all its males and take their women as their mates to expand The Form’s tribe. There was no freedom in that tribe, you done what The Form commanded.

Zeugma and her group ran as fast has their feet would carry them. Jumping over large rocks and a small stream as they then entered the chasm. Behind them their enemy’s were gaining on them. That only made her and her men press harder as they ran through the narrow channel reaching the end of it, a massive wall of rock. The men of the form roared in delight seeing that Zeugma and her group were trapped. It was ill advised Kron herd that same roar when they killed his father. His spotter waved his hands a sign of the enemy being in the right location. Kron took his favourite obsidian edged dagger from his belt and cut the rope that was holding back a large bolder. Before the men of The Form could react the boulder had triggered a landslide and rocks crushed and men of the form. Those that survived quickly were killed by Zeugma and her group as they counter attacked. They had won!

<“Well done Children!”> The telepathic message was heard by all of Zeugma’s people. They looked at each other in fear wondering where did this voice come from. Then in the forest below they saw a grey haired man walking towards them. Behind him coming out of the forest was so many men that they could not be counted.

<“You done well killing my scouts, most tribes get wiped out by them alone!”>

Zeugma looked up at Kron. The look on his face was that of fear. All around her the look on her warriors of her tribe faces was that of fear. What was it they faced that could put fear into the hearts of men and women with just a few words? Her tribe had just killed fifty odd men, yet this warlord thought he could killed them all himself. The older looking man now walked by himself towards her people leaving the huge army that followed him behind. Whoever or whatever this man was, it all screamed danger to Zeugma.

“Reeve get to the village, get the old, the children and the kids and take them has far away from here has you can,” said Zeugma pointing at the young man beside. Reeve looked up to his brother for guidance. Kron simply nodded knowing whatever happened now all that was important was to get the future of the tribe to safety while they fought this old man. He too like Zeugma knew there was something wrong about this. The old man was simply crazy or knew something they didn’t by challenging the might of the tribe single handily.

The man entered the chasm and was in range of the spears of Kron’s team. With a simple nod Kron had shown his intent. He and his men all reached back and through their spears at the old man. Kron had thrown many a spear in their life time; the spears were travelling on target. Kron now stood back expecting the man to attempt to dodge the spears somehow, but he stood still. The spears like Kron expected were mostly on target. But they did not hit him. The man emitted a glowing circle around him, the spears harmlessly hit off that and then fell to the ground.

<“Ha, ha, ha little children, you don’t know who I am do you?”> said the man telepathically to all of the Tribe of the Great Snake with another silent message of fear. Even this time Zeugma frightened by what she saw. What was this man? Around her the men that were with her ran literally for the hills trying to climb up the wall of the chasm to get away from the man. Zeugma looked up to see if Kron was still there. He was not, he and his men on seeing what the man was capable of hearing his message ran now in fear.

The man changed, his eyes glowed and his form grew very large. Horns started to grow out of his head and a red crystal appeared on his forehead he continued to change looking like a giant lizard. Before Zeugma could even wonder what this meant the red crystal on his forehead glowed and fired. Around her the men that where trying to escape were hit by this light and were blasted apart. She was now alone and the creature now walked towards her.

“You never had a chance little girl. Did you really think you could challenge the might of a Zoalord? That you could challenge Fulton Balcus!”

Yup, this is him. Hense his zoalord form being that in the movie. But unlike the movie this guy is a lot more dangerous as seen by Zeugma with her tribes men being killed off by Zoa-crystal fire.

Fulton in the fan-fic was active before the Gen arrived to Earth. He commanded the Tribe of the Form, he's in Utah. Ye should know why that State is important in Guyver lore.....

Basically this is him long before he was in the movie and it's in this story he'll be tied into the fan-fiction lore more than ever.

Holy cow! Never saw that coming thats for sure! Balcus is an ancient Zoalord older than Kron and Zeugma? Did Alkanphel know of this? I also like how it turns out Reeve was in fact Kron's little brother, it will be interesting to see how he became the Guyver Zoalord and turned on his own tribe. Hell, it'll be cool to see how they all became Zoalords

I'm also assuming that Kron somehow eluded being blown to bits like the others

P.S. its cool how Zeugma commanded her troops so well and how she stood her ground instead of fleeing (guess she could somehow sense it would only end in death)

Yup, in the fan-fic he predates Alkanphel by a long way.

He's a lot more than just a zoanoid, baiscally a very large Zoalord who has had freedom to rule as top of the food chain for a very very long time. (that's your hint for his mindset in Time War).
