Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I was just wondering what a type 1 and type 2 warrior guyver combined would be capable of? Quote
*zeo Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 If you literally combine the two you would wind up with something like WGC. Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 I mean if you were to combine the capabilities of a type 1 and a type 2 together. Like taking the gravity shield of WG v1 and the CPM's of WGv2 and started from the ground up in making a WGv3 with Solom's knowledge and the knowledge of the creator of WGv2. Quote
*zeo Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 Exactly what I said! The same components go into both Units, they're just optimized differently. Combine them and the resulting unit wouldn't be optimized for either and you would basically have WGC. The units aren't really designed for that much redundacy! Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 Well...don't that just beat all. Quote
*zeo Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 That's the thing with stacking things together, you don't always end up with more or better. Everything that works well has balance, not to mention the Guyver is a living thing and life in general tends to be very efficient in its designs. So since the same part of the Unit is responsible for both the Gravity Shield and CPM's, the unit would just combine them. What you had in mind would only work with something like the Zeus Unit, separate but combined capabilities thanks to the Zeus Unit having its own CM layer. Same thing that allows it to have its own pair of CPM's for example. If Agito had instead given his Zeus Unit a Gravity Shield then he would have both his own WG3 CPM's and the Zeus Gravity Shield. But even with Solom's knowledge Agito didn't see the benefits on combining the two and so instead went with just adding to what he already had, something I'm sure he regrets now after what happened to him in 7 DOH. Quote
Juggernought Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Isn't his unit still upgradeable? I'm pretty sure with time to analyze the informations stored in his unit, he could still achieve that. Quote
*zeo Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 It's optimization can be changed but aside from appearance WGC is a fully functional Warrior Guyver. Quote
*zeo Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 No prob, technically yes. Agito does have the option to make changes to the Zeus armor. Though there are limits, like he has to choose between CPM's or Gravity Shield for the Zeus Unit, or something in-between like WGC's Comet/Meteor Blast Shield. However it still remains to be seen whether he has survived the events of 7 DOH Quote
Aranor Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Zeo, I wonder if what Kamui was getting at is, could this hybrid of units retain the abiity to use the gravity shield of WG and CPM's of WG2 to the degree they both use them at with perhaps the restriction of energy used for one system, being drained from the other. Is WGC this strong? Quote
McAvoy Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 The point that zeo is making is that CPMs and the Gravity Shield would end up being merged with each other such as the WGC. Different abilities and so on but the it would end up being the same. The only way the Gravity Shield and the CPMs would be seperate from each other is either by a seperate upgrade like the Zues unit or by the Matrix. Quote
*zeo Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Yes, McAvoy got it exactly. The parts of the unit responsible for both the Gravity Shield and the CPM's are the same for both Unit's. So a combined unit would merge the two configurations and result in a mixture of the two, which WGC is a result. The only way to keep them separate is to use a separate system, such as the Zeus upgrade or something capable of altering the function of the unit completely like the Matrix. Quote
