June 17, 200718 yr Yeah I've seen like 3 or 4 guests on at a given moment for like 30 or 40 min. So I highly doubt that it's just a member scanning the latest posts.

Yahoo/googlebots regularly come through and update the sites for their searches, thus as more stuffs added, you can get more hits through people searching on the net for something.
June 19, 200718 yr Though quite a few of the guests, are guests I've seen. Peopple in places from Ecuador to USA visit along with lots from the UK. Even the odd crazy Irish person (other than me that is )
June 19, 200718 yr Author Yeah, long ago when I was on my own server I had a site surveryor that used to tell me 5% of my hits (which were about 400 unique a day) was from the middle east.
October 7, 201510 yr Update on this. Roughly once every 3 or 4 months I notice a new Robot / Spider on the board that is totally new and brings with it soemthing like 30 to 40 guests as it probes the board until I add it to the Robot list. If I disable it that would basically stop the board showing up on search engines. As it's more of an annoyance it's not an option to do that.
