Vader is Luke's father!? O_o Oh man, I knew I should have kept up to date on this stuff.

Seriously though, while on a technical level it was a spoiler, it also is a pretty ubiquitous one here. If you feel the need to discuss it some more, please take it to PM. At this point it's getting a bit off topic.

I read both chapters yesterday and I all I can say is: wow!

Congratulations to the team, 'cause that was the best Guyver fan-fiction I've read ... ever. I'd especially want to conrgatulate Mr. Cox; you kept me glued to my screen 'till the last word. You, sir, are a very good writer.

Zeo, I loved the tech-talk (like the part where Jason gets in the Beta armor for the first time, very nice work on the details there) Please continue this in future fics, cause it really added to the realism of it all (as far is you buy into it all of course) I found it really cool that you even used some existing (although in prototype-stage) tech (the boomers for example, for those who are wondering).

I have one negative thing though. I really enjoyed the way you guys portraid the 'standard' guyvers. Actually, you did too good a job, 'cause now I don't feel the need for a more powerfull unit (can't believe I just said that). I'm actually not looking forward to it (still can't believe I'm saying this). I like Jason the way he is at the moment, I like the guyvers the way they are ... when you bring in the WG, everything changes because here's a (lot) more powerfull unit which can do pretty much anything (compared to a standard G-unit) which, for me, spoils part of the fun. The fight with the Grakken eg, was excellent, no need for a more powerfull unit there. See what I mean?

Sorry, I just keep rambeling sometimes.

Thx for the fics and keep up the great work!!

Thanks for the review Raven. We've all worked very hard to make this version of the fic as immersive as possible. It's always nice to hear that the work is appreciated.

And rest assured the appearance of WG and the more powerful portion of the cast is not going to make the fic boring. We're giving them the same amount of work that we're giving the regular guyvers.

It is nice to know that we started things off with a bang, and have given compelling portrayals of the starting characters. Stay tuned for the next part!

Hey, you guys earned every praise. :D

I never meant to insinuate that introducing WG (or other more powerfull charachters) would make the story boring. What I was trying to explain is that I hope the regular Guyvers won't be forgotten. One thing I always regretted in the original fics is that the stories focused more on the more powerfull charachters, for which you need more powerfull opponents, which puts the the standard types out of play. The Guyver on itself is such a great charachter, you don't really need a more powerfull version of it.

I'm rambeling again

What I'm trying to say is: because there is a connection now (at least, that's how I feel) between the reader and the regular Guyvers, it would be a shame if they were pushed to second place.

So I hope you won't forget about them when the big guns arrive.

(Why couldn't I explain it like this the first time? Geez ... )

That's one of the reasons we're spending so much time building up the characters now. In this version it's not the powers that are going to be showcased. It's the person behind them. Even Jason when he becomes WG, is going to be more about him then his armor. This is one of the reasons you'll notice that there is much less frequency in calling Sho 'Guyver 1' and Sean 'Guyver US' in the fics.

Regardless of the armor, the flashy powers, or the incredible battles. On a personal level they're all going to be equally important.

Granted it will be more challenging to write Sean into a battlefield that includes heavy powerhouses like WG and Bio Titans. But frankly, I'm relishing the oppertunity to try. :)

That's great news :D

The only thing that's left to say then is:

Thanks for all the work you guys are putting into this and I'm really looking forward to the next part!

To an extent even one of the lesser Guyvers has been left out in favor of more powerful Guyvers, but even he has more 'page time' then Sho or Sean. That would be WG2. But it's interesting in how he's portrayed as this awesome Bio Titan killer.

I don't know McAvoy when you think about it the strategy of a Bio-Titan isn't that hard to figure out. Bio-Titian are not great at close combat. BT's excel at long rang attacks. And with their neverending supply of energy. The obvious tactic to use is overwhelming the enemy with a barage of fire power.

So the obvious counter attack is getting close in and engaging them one on one. And this is what WG2 does, and why he seems to be an unstoppable Bio titan killing machine. So I wouldn't be surprised. And stephen is a veteran soldier who knows to study your opponents before you engage them.

Aww man we are all spoiling the newbies by giving them our insights instead of having fun tourturing them by making them have to figure this stuff out.

Well Bio Titans can only withstand a Guyver's mega smash and deal the same amout whereas WG2 can do quite a bit more. That's in terms of firepower. Anyway, WG2 mostly engaging Bio Titans at long range away.

His main tactic was constantly changing tactics so the Bio-Titans wouldn't get a chance to focus their power on him and he wasn't the only one doing that to the Bio-Titans.

Back to a previous comment about the stories. Each part begins and ends with a time. At first i thought it was local time just to give you a perspective of how long everything took. However after re-reading I notcied that the number is winding down. I think the numbers at the beginning and the end of each part is the count down to when Jason activates the WG Unit. I dont know what the plan is but it would particularly evil on some part to have part three end simply with

0:00:00 as the unit activates onto Jason. I guess we will have to wait and see.

 *snicker*

Oh man, stop giving me evil ideas like that.

But you are correct about the countdown and what it entails.

Hmmmm, ending Union right at the 00.00.00... why didn't I think of that.

Posted

I thought union was going to be like 5 or so parts? if that was true, i doubt that you could make 00:00 be the ending, at least not unless the intervals will be radically changed.

Posted

Uh, WarriorZoalord, the countdown is to the creation of the Warrior Guyver. And we never said how many parts there was going to be.

Right now it looks like 3 unless we take Vengeance's idea and make it 4.

Posted

Hmm, could it also be another phase of a chronos plan? If I recall correctly, Alkanphel made sure jason got that unit in the original fanfics...whether it is the same in the chronicles I don't know, just a guess

Well i just got done reading the rewrites and i must say i am most impressed. I look forward to the next edition.
