that one was limited edition. you had to collect stamps from packets of the other guyver figures.

I'm not sure about those others... i assumed they released them under bio fighter wars.

if not then we have a whole range yet to come out.

Hey guys, sorry for bumping an old thread, but in the absence of a dedicated collectibles thread I didn't know where else to post.

I started collecting Max Factory Guyver back in 05. At the time I couldn't afford to buy all the figures, so I'm now trying to pick up the remaining one's I missed through Mandarake & Ebay sellers. I recently ordered a MIB Imakarum for £140 (should have got him on release 2 years ago), but more importantly I finally found a seller willing to part with his Hyper Zoanoid Five BFW figures. Sadly there is no original packaging, but as they seem to be so rare we settled on £100 for the 4. Do you guys thinks that is a good price?

Anyway, writing this I'm starting to think it deserves it's own thread, but I was hoping we could use this to post people wishlists along with links to Mandarake/Ebay auctions for figures people may be interested in. We could also post images of Guyver collectibles we are proud of. I for one will be posting pictures of my Zoanoid 5 when they arrive :)

Anyway, that's enough waffle. Let me know what you guys think.

I soooo want that Alkanphel figure

Tell me about it!! I think if that prototype ever went up for sale I'd easily pay over 100,000 Yen for it!! Although I'd imagine it'd go for even more than that!!

:G1: That Alkanphel figure has been on my wanted list for forever and a day! I don't think that it's outlandish to expect them to release it at some point. It was a prototype once, along with the Imakarum figure and as you can see, we got the Imakarum figure. I really wish Max Factory would have continued with the gashapon-type figures sets they were releasing. I wish they would continue those. To have the Hyper Zoanoid 5 Team would be especially pleasing to me. :droolsmall: In any case, I truly believe that the Alkanphel figure will be released in the coming year or two. I am sure that they would sell out fast! :G3:

perhaps those who are interested in that particular figure, could work on an e mail campaign?

I'm sure if everyone who wants one, emailed max factory, they may see the demand and put it into production.

even though im not sure if id shell out for one right away I think we should deffinately get a campaign going, max factory have really took the pee with this... ive lost track of how long it is since we first saw the colour archetype of Archanfel/ Alkanphel..??... its 3 years since the articulated white one!!!

we should get everyone in the english speaking community to sign some sort of petition ofr something, and if we can get people from other countries to get there communities to help (Cannibal etc. ) - is there a japanese Guyver community to get in touch with??

all we need to say to Max Factory is - look !! there is still interest in this product all over the world - so make the Frakkin things!!!!!!!!!!!!! please.

there's been a petition for a while about guyver manga in english. not too many signatures.

i think a mail campaign would be more effective.

people can copy and paste a pre-penned message and send from their personal email address, no need to sign up to a forum or anything like that, more personal too.

I agree!! I would simply love for Max Factory to finally release the Alky. Earlier in this thread there is reference to an e-mail sent to Akiyam-san @ Goodsmile who seemed very helpful at the time. "秋山拓郎" akiyama@goodsmile.jp

I know this was 4 years ago, but wonder whether this would be a good starting point. Atleast if only to find out where we can direct our pleas :o) I'll put something together this evening.

If anyone else has any contacts at goodsmile this may also help. We could always just e-mail their generic support address.

My only worry is that they stopped production because the anime ended. If I remember correctly the figure line started around 05' when the anime series was airing. Sadly, without a 2nd series there may be reluctance to invest.

You can see if happening with Berserk ever since the feature film was announced, Max Factory have unveiled a Gutts & now a Griffiths figure.

You're right Ryuki. Guyver III was released Apr. 2004, and then Aptom Dec. 2004, but then the majority began coming out in 2005 including the BFW's by which point I think the Anime had been announced as it started airing Aug. 2005

It all pretty much happened within 12 months of each other, we also had the reissued TankÅbons after vol.23 in 2005, so I think it was all part of the same resurgence of Guyver that happened around that time.

I think we need something big to kickstart the franchise again ;)

i think the fact that Guyver has been going over 25 years is enough of a selling point to put to max factory. they should know that its an established franchise and will always have a fanbase to sell to.

if they were relying on sale figures to encourage them in releasing further figures they should never have gone with Purgustall and Imakuram they should have just released Alkanphel. to be honest i really want t see Alky and Guyver 2 F next.

I hear you there Aether!! Those two would be great!! Also an Aptom Ver.5 'Omega Blast' would be very welcomed :o)

I sent the below e-mail to Mr. Akiyama-san/Goodsmile support this evening:

Dear Mr Akiyama-san "秋山拓郎",

I hope you are well. I am contacting you on behalf of the Guyver fandom both in Europe and the rest of the world regarding the release of one of our most beloved characters from the Guyver series, the Zoalord Archanfel.

Back in 2007 we bared witness to some truly beautiful prototypes of a Max Factory Archanfel as part of the Bio Fighter Collection Guyver line of action figures.

5 years on, and the community is truly clamouring to get their hands on such a magnificent figure and we were hoping that you could give us some indication as to whether you still expect to put it into production in the near future?

I attach pictures of this truly majestic figure as a reminder of the potential and urge that you consider releasing it as the fanbase wll most certainly buy it. We are actively working on a petition and can assure you that should you release it, even as a limited run, the fanbase will eternally be in your gratitude.

I eagerly look forward to your response.

Many thanks,

Kindest Regards,

Benjamin Bouhsine

I'll keep you posted on any developments.

Good initiative for actually doing something Kanji.

btw who is Mr Akiyama ??

Thanks Aether. Akiyama appears to be someone who was working at Goodsmile when spawngod1 e-mailed him with a similar question back in 09. Chances are he isn't there anymore which is why I copied in their support address. No response thus far, but haven't given up yet.

great email, and gratz on getting you r imakarum, can't wait to see it :)

Thanks Ryuki. Gonna print off some of your scanlations and use as a backdrop if that's alright. It's something I like to do with my One Piece Portrait.Of.Pirates figures, so would like to try it for Guyver :)
