Normally I'd post this in the website update thread but not everyone reads that section compared to the main section of the messageboard. I'm approcing a crossroads that will in the end make big changes to Japan-Legend.com so am looking for input from people who visit the site no matter if they are new to the website or old timers. Here's the problem, the Japan Legend Wiki does not work nor has it in a long time. I've being working on it a lot and there is a decent chance that the Wiki will never be recovered. That leaves me with some hard choices that need to be made as we're now approching a year since Jess♥ left the project and I simply can't have a website w…

I found a catch of old Guyver.Net icons for the forums that used to be there. I've updated the board today with ones that were relevant to Japan Legend As you can see though there wasn't enough of them to fill all the sections. If anyone would like to see more / different ones or would like to create something new and custom for the board you're more than welcome and can post it on this topic.

I've created this new section for the forum. For the moment it is locked as the website hasn't gone online yet. For the moment any discussions about this section of the website can be had here in this topic and it will be moved into the new forum once the website goes online.

Hello all members, Due to recent BOT activity I'm going to be doing a purge of all accounts created in the last 3 months that have a ZERO post count. This will be happening in 2 weeks time. If you are a new member of the board and are reading this, introduce yourself and then the account won't be purged. FYI Next Month I'll be extending this to all Accounts on the board over 2 months old that have never posted (this is to both tidy the database and free up names to people who might want them). Members though who have signed up for the translations will be excluded from any purging.

Do the super emoticons still exist? do you remember the monkeys and the onions and the frogs and all of that? I can't seem to find them now.. I think they were a big part of the personality of the site?

I saw something that worried me a little. a member had replied to an old topic with useful and relevant information and even a picture that had effectively been requested, yet was chastised for it. I understand that necroposting can be frowned upon in many places, but this forum is not generally active so it concerns me that taking this stance is something that this forum really does not benefit from. if anything, we want to encourage more posting, right?

It seems that I can't post linked pictures with thumbnail preview via standard forum embed code? Like this: [url=https://www.japan-legend.com/uploads/profile/photo-thumb-363.png][img]https://www.japan-legend.com/uploads/profile/photo-thumb-363.png[/img][/url] I paste the code into reply form and it posts like code and not what it's expected to be. Is there other way around to post a huge number of linked thumbnails? Because I want to share a lot of photos. EDIT: tried this in Firefox and Chrome.

The site currently runs on version 4 of the Board. V5 was just released and as part of renewing the license is now avilable. One of the up coming weekends I'll be pushing it through.
