At this point, Takaya should come out and tell the fans if he's done, rather than leave the series on permanent hiatus. If he's keeping the door open for a return, he should also make it known. George R.R. Martin gives status updates now and again, even if no one expects him to realistically finish the books. Instead, Guyver fans have been left in limbo. Takaya is the wrong side of 60, and we saw with Kentaro Miura that anything can happen, but at least Miura was still working on Berserk when he passed away. I have to wonder if Kadokawa won't officially end the manga, as they still need the IP to hawk figurines and merchandise.

Evil Ted has completed the Foam stunt prop version of the case! He is still working on the lighting on the hero prop and said it should be done tomorrow.

I love that Evil Ted is making the case. Bringing back the old legends to work on the fan project just hits right in the nostalgia. Some in progress shots from his Facebook page.

Ugh for the love of God it's been over a year since the Gigantic Guyver was revealed. Let's get this over with!

The crossover figs look a lot better compared to how they were originally shown but I really want some dates and prices for that Gigantic.

It's been a week and we finally got some shots of the upcoming Guyver merch from the Shanghai Wonderfest 2025. No preorder dates yet, but the Titanomachia Guyver 1 and Guyver 3 kits are looking better, this time with a splash of color... But I don't think they are done with the armor on them just yet. And a couple shots of the upcoming Figma Guyver Gigantic. Hopefully we will get a pre-order date soon. Thanks to Donald Burtschi from the Guyver!! Facebook group for sharing these!

This is true, OVA 12 totally reversed the trend and turned out amazing! And I'm right with you on them being in a jam without Team Five - they'd probably have been able to futz a lot of modified plot points in a hypothetical continuation but so much of the Gigantic payoff is set up by the Aptom/Zx-Tole brawl that couldn't take place I do wonder how well Act II sold when all was said and done; hard to find sales figures from those days, to say the least! You're very welcome, glad you found it as neat as I did!

As a side note, although the animation quality dipped in the second half of the OVA series, it saved the best till last. OVA 12 had my favourite art style probably in the entire series. It's a pity that we never got to see more of that animation. Although the OVA continuity had steered too far from the manga that I don't know how they would've continued the plot. If Aptom had survived, they would've had to completely rewrite his attack on Chronos, as Team Five were already dead in that timeline. Not that I think there was any intention to carry on the OVAs anyway.
