  1. Well, my manga came today; they still kind of freak me out, but they're very good reading. I rather enjoy them.
  2. This is a beautiful video, and it needs to be seen more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrAAKecFf-0&hl=en&fs=1
  3. The background looks geat; and those images you made are really funny.
  4. Well, I've ordered the manga; the freaky, messed-up, entirely mind-bending manga. They'll probably arrive sometime tommorow or the next day. Woe betide my remaining sanity, but you can't say they aren't a good read. In other news, I've got 115 out of my 137 Mood Theme images uploaded.
  5. I haven't seen any of it, but I really enjoy the first opening and closing themes.
  6. A bit sad, and pretty intense, but a very good vid.
  7. I've been getting back into some of my old projects lately, so that's been fun. And, as much as it freaks me out, I think I'm going to buy Uzumaki and Gyo for my manga collection. God knows I read them enough.
  8. One of my LJ friends is looking for time off to watch a marathon of the Guyver TV series. I always like it when I manage to bring new people into the fandom - though it happens so rarely - so this is really fun for me.
  9. Yeah, I wonder about that myself.
  10. Yeah, I've heard the closeness of the ocean acts to moderate the temperature. Happily enough for us in Redwood City, it's not so blasted hot here anymore, either. It's good not being baked alive, of course, and I love the cool breezes that keep blowing through lately. Sorry about the nasty weather on your end, though.
  11. Oh, and if anyone has a copy of the song in the video, or knows where I can download one, I'd be very greatful.
  12. I can recognize a few of these - from Uzumaki and Gyo - but can someone tell me what the other pictures are from, and what the stories behind them is?
  13. http://theglen.livejournal.com/16735.html http://theglen.livejournal.com/89715.html http://theglen.livejournal.com/131998.html These crack me up, and I don't even roleplay much.
  14. Yeah, that's why I watch them, myself. The ones I can deal with, that is.
  15. I love Roxette!
  16. Well, it was 104 degrees yesterday, and it felt like it was a bit hotter today. Summer for us is considered to begin in mid to late March, but I say California summer doesn't begin until July, when it starts to get really hot. Also, we had a bit of an unseasonable cool-spell in June, so that's some of it too.
  17. Well, the California summer has arrived at last, and you know what that means: heatwaves, sitting around the house and trying to work up the enthusiasm to move, and drinking what feels like gallons of ice waterjust to keep from dehydrating. I really hate California summers.
  18. What are your new avatar and sig image from, Spleach?
  19. Not that I've heard. Maybe we should ask Guyverfanatic if he's seen anything; he seems to keep up with these things.
  20. I haven't watched Grave of the Fireflies or Barefoot Gen, either. War films kind of get to me, since they're emotinally exhausting by their very nature, and I tend to have a lot of empathy for people. Band of Brothers is all right, because it seems that the violence - horrible as it is - is spaced out over the length of a ten hour series more than it would be in a movie. Also, the longer running-time lets me get to know the characters better, which can be a bit of a mixed blessing given that this is me we're talking about, but if I can't relate to at least one of the characters then the story tends to bore me.
  21. I've been watching Band of Brothers for about a week now; hoo boy, it's a heavy series. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised, since it is about soldies in World War II, and the closest I've ever come to a real war story is Guyver and Fullmetal Alchemist, and I don't think either of those really count.
  22. Well, it's a pretty big milestone for me. It's been a long time since I've made 1,000. I'm pretty happy.
  23. This is my 2,000th post. This is so cool; I'm actually starting to catch up to my LiveJournal post count.
