  1. If that's the case, then there's no excuse to turn up to work unless it's absolutely necessary. Hell, it seems that they give employees plenty of reasons and incentives to call off sick if they're not well. Headaches, upset stomachs, maybe a minor cold, I can understand. But if you've got a bad cold or the flu or worse, why risk it and making others sick at work? And as you mentioned, any disease going around could close the plant until at least everything is disinfected. Very counter productive I say. That's why when I'm really sick, I usually call off work. Everyone congregates around my area where I work, and there's no reason, especially in seasons where people get ill anyways, for me to risk making things worse for myself or others.

I hope you enjoy your time here. I'm one of the more frequent posters here. I hope you have fun here
  3. Some of it's greed or even the simple want/need for money, and some people who run and own some of these places are bungholes with sick pay and benefits. I didn't like calling off work and when I was only slightly ill, I went in. But if I was total crap, I called off. Lots of people go though the office where I work, and hence if I'm sick, the chances are good that they might get what I have, and vice versa. Of course, the flu in winter is bad enough. It's now in the middle of summer and that'll only make things worse if anything. I hope that you'll be feeling better soon.
  4. Hi everyone. I'm up early this morning because my little brother has something to do with his father and one of his friends. So that's why I'm up now, unlike yesterday which was work related. The latest report on my kittens is that Jade can drink from a water dish and Snowball seems to be ready to go exploring on the floor. Jade has already been exploring since last night and she's been over to the cat's food trough thing, though I don't know if she's tried eating yet. I don't have much planned for today. Maybe working on some fan fic later and looking up some stuff and maybe some gaming later. Then it's back to work tomorrow. I'll be back later
  5. Hi everyone. Got home from work and had a good day. I took about a 4 hour nap when I got home. At work, we might be doing something different with my transportation. We're thinking of switching taxi companies because of them getting me there late and I'm having issues with getting stuff scheduled with them. It seems to be a problem at their office and not with their drivers, who give great service, but something IMO isn't right with the administrative/scheduling end of things at the main office. Other than that, I'm pretty happy right now. I'm going to be making some chicken/bacon ranch wraps to eat soon, because I haven't eaten anything since this morning. I'll be looking up stuff, doing some gaming and maybe writing fan fic over the next day or so and tonight. I'll be back later
  6. Hi everyone. This morning, Audi won their second 24 hour race in a week at the Nurburgring 24 hour race. Right now, I'm waiting for my parents to arrive with my groceries and such. I don't have much else planned, though I do plan on watching the NASCAR race later on, as it's also on a road course, as well as some gaming and such. Probably no or not much fan fic work tonight, since I do have work tomorrow. I'll be back later
  7. Hi everyone. I have plans of watching the NASCAR races this weekend, since they are road course races. I also plan on making some chicken nachos tonight when I watch the shortened highlighted Nationwide Series race tonight. I also wanna do some gaming and I'll probably get started on working on some fan fic tomorrow night. Also, Audi were supposed to run the Le Mans winning R18 around the Nurburgring circuit before the 24 Hour race there this weekend, but I haven't seen any photos or reports of that yet. I'll be back later
  8. If you vacation in the Dominican Republic, you might find one of these, the Ashy-faced Owl, a close relative of the Barn Owl, which also populates the island:
  9. Home made pizza tonight! (well, a Chef Boyardee pizza, but you get the picture )
  10. Rained a ton today. But after Sunday, it's supposed to be dry for almost a week.
  11. Even if it's not a Zoacrystal, it has to be capable of doing something. I don't think it's there for decoration. That'd be Shizu getting a mani-pedi or earrings or her hair done. The crystal on her chest probably has some function beyond cosmetics.
  12. Hi everyone. Had a great day at work today. Got home and took a nap for a couple of hours, and I'm ready for tonight. I'll be watching F1 practice, NASCAR practice and a show about this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. I'll also be making a pizza tonight. Outside of that, I won't be doing too much. I'll be back later
  13. Random fact. A quadruple stint at Le Mans for Audi this year was 52 laps around a 8.47 mile track. That equals just over 440 miles. The average NASCAR Sprint Cup points race, once all the math is done (adding race distance and dividing by 36, the number of points paying races a season), is about 365 miles. Meaning that Audi ran more than an average NASCAR race's distance on one set of tires, and they did it almost the whole race until the end with how driver rotations played out and they did full service on the cars when they had their turbocharger issues. But Audi did average more than a NASCAR races' average distance on one set of tires.

  15. Hi everyone. AC is king where I'm at! The best thing that's happened since I got my job and Audi took a 1-2 at Le Mans on Sunday. After saying it was supposed to rain all week since Sunday, it finally rained last night. And it looks like more of the same today. I got my new schedule from work today and I'll pick up a paper copy tomorrow. Today's a day off and I'm wondering on what I'll do today aside from some gaming. I'll probably work on fan fic if I get a chance because I've been thinking a lot about my character Jennifer in it. Between NASCAR's road racing weekend and coming off Le Mans, I have plenty of gaming stuff I'd like to try out. Other than that, I plan on staying cool (much easier now) and having some fun today I'll be back later
  16. Short report on the race and a photo gallery: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/event/348/2014-24-Hours-of-Le-Mans.html
  17. Hi everyone. I had a good day at work though I was late because of a mix up at the taxi company. Renee (my boss) and I have decided to start sending them my schedule via fax or email to help prevent this from happening. Though I did feel what Jim Cantore feels when I was going down the highway to get to work today. And with as hot as it was, it felt great. We have the AC in our house now and it's a godsend. I have the day off from work tomorrow, and I have some plans for gaming and maybe fan fic writing. Other than that, I won't be too busy tonight, but I'll be a helluva lot cooler than I have been. I'll be back later
  18. CBR pasta salad is complete, now all I have to do is wait for it cool off a bit before I try it.
  19. Gonna try and make some chicken bacon ranch pasta salad tonight.
  20. It feels hotter than hell where I'm at, and it's supposed to storm off and on all week. Ironically, those storms will cool things off.
  21. It won't be for a while before I buy a new gaming console. I don't get paid much and I won't be making any serious money until I work at my new position. Jade and Snowball are still box-ridden because of how small they are, but Jade has escaped on numerous occasions.
  22. Hi everyone. I have a day off today, and I'll be doing some gaming and maybe some fan fic writing. I named 2 of our older kittens today. I named the all-white boy Snowball, and it's girl sibling Jade. I originally wanted to name it Griselda, but my brother protested. But I hope that my mom will like the names I picked for them. Today does feel cooler than yesterday, though it's supposed to be hotter. But anyways, those are my plans for today. I'll be back later
  23. CGI video of the technology of the Le Mans winning Audi R18 e-tron quattro:
  24. Hi everyone. Had a great first day at work and met up with a lot of my friends there. There were no hassles, no issues, and things seem to be a lot more organized there than last I'm I was there. I'll be resting up tonight and trying to stay cool. If it wasn't so damned hot and humid in my house, I'd consider making some chicken bacon ranch pasta salad, which would be good because that stuff's pretty good when left in the fridge to chill. I might make that stuff anyways, because it was so good the last time. I also have gaming and such and since the LM24 stuff has died down and the next WEC race isn't for three months, I'll be getting back into the swing of fan fic writing. I'll be back later
  25. Could the one in her chest be not a Zoacrystal, per se, but used for something different? I believe that it's some type of crystal that doesn't function as an actual Zoacrystal, but maybe as an energy generator/amplifier. That could explain why Shizu can heal the Libertus from injury and produce energy and manipulate the energy of other Zoanoids. That's my theory on the second "crystal".
