http://s57.radikal.ru/i157/1006/a9/c0400b3d5986.jpg I guess you could call it blue, but it definitely appears to be a light purple in my eyes. When I think blue I think of Purgstall.

Clearly didn't read the post of mine above you.

Caerleon. He's the best looking haha. Due to my appearance I've always identified with the pretty boys in fiction like Nightwing from Batman, Scirocco in Zeta Gundam, Caerleon in Guyver etc. He was my favorite before I saw his Zoaform, which I didn't really like at first. I was hoping he would have a humanoid face like Arkanphel, Purgstall, Shin, and Yentsui, but it eventually grew on me and now I really like it. Even more that I've seen Cannibal's light purple coloration of him. It really sucks that he had to be the sacrificial lion to show how dangerous Apollon is. Really would have loved to get his backstory. Actually would have loved to get ALL of the Zoalords backstories, but it is what it is. WOO HOO REVIVING OLD THREADS. EDIT: He's also extremely loyal to his friends Yentsui, Waferdanos, and Purgstall (some of my other favorites) and willingly took on someone he knew for a fact was more powerful than he was to protect there Zoacrystals.
-
Those are awesome as well! I'm really fond of the light purple that Cannibal chose for Caerleon. I mean, he's the pretty boy of the Zoalords so that colour fits him perfectly in my eyes.
-
My idea for the arcs is quite similar to what others have posted. 1-8: Beginning/Relic's Point 9-16: Chronos' at its peak 17-25: Rescue Aptom 26-??: Maybe final arc? Not saying the names I chose are particularly great, it's just what I always thought of thinking about them.
-
Apparently there are no official colour schemes for Caerleon or Shin, however Cannibal did give them his own colour schemes that look totally awesome
-
I should have been using the term villain instead of antagonist, because I definitely see your point. Like Code Geass, Lelouch is the villain but he's the protagonist if you get what I'm saying.
-
Who do you think the real antagonists are? Going back and reading has changed my mind on quite a few things. Most of the Zoalords aren't exactly bad guys. Purgstall, Shin, Yentsui, Waferdanos, and Caerleon aren't particularly evil, and are actually quite good. Chronos has actually made the world a better place, the main argument to that is was it really worth pulling off an X-Day? As for who I view as the real bad guys, it would have to be the 3 rogue Zoalords (the 2 left), Guyot, Valcuria (unfortunately), and Agito. I view Shizu and the Libertus (who are loyal to her) as good guys who just happen to be in league with Agito. What does everyone else think?
-
They made him look more intimidating in the anime, but he was still a chicken with a lizard tail and crazy spiral eyes.
-
Somlum looks like a chicken and he definitely exists.
-
Are there any official coloured images of Caerleon or Shin? This probably doesn't need it's own thread but I really want to know what they look like, specifically Caerleon (favorite Zoalord, shame he and his awesome power get buried in 5 seconds to show off how dangerous Apollon is).

Guyver 12 part OVA and TV series camparisons or opnions
TheAptomStrain replied to Primex's topic in Guyver
The OVA couldn't continue, It ended exactly when it needed to. Aptom's Gregole/Vamore/Enzyme II composite form is the "final boss" of the series so to speak, but let's think of what could actually happen if it had gone on longer. What does Aptom do after Sho defeats him? He absorbs Elegan, but wait! Elegan died giving his life energy to ZX-Tole, who also died way too early. Gaster and Derzerb? Also dead. The entire Hyper Zoanoid 5 died before Aptom even showed up. Think about it, with all of them gone, how is Aptom to evolve past that composite form? He can't. Don't get me wrong, the 12-episode OVA is probably my favorite Guyver media outside of the manga, but 12 episodes is all it could be. It's absurdly gory and violent, and with horrible dubs (which makes it perfect in my eyes), but there is no way they could have possibly extended the life of it. -
This is seriously my favorite picture of anything ever! As soon as I saw it, I made it my desktop background!
-
I'm just now noticing the difference between the insides of the shell on Aptom's arm and the Hyper who's entire torso is just a massive bio-blaster, now that you've mentioned it. lol. The main similarity for the Hyper's high frequency blade and Evil Aptom's lance is the size of it. Thancrus' blades are his hands, and Zerebebuth (powered) claws come just out of his hand. However this Hyper's blade makes up the entire forearm and then some, just like the lance Evil Aptom used.
-
If they can, I think I found the one Aptom got the high frequency spear from! It hasn't been named yet but it appears right here: http://www.japan-leg..._Valkyria/162/6 and http://www.japan-leg..._Valkyria/162/7 Also there appears a Hyper-Zoanoid in that same chapter who has a bio blaster for his torso: http://www.japan-leg...Valkyria/162/13 , but Aptom uses that exact shape for a bio blaster 3 volumes before that: http://www.japan-leg...heritance/147/5 I'm definitely believing Aptom absorbed these Hyper-Zoanoids while Khan had control over him, but only if Hypers are able to be replicated. If they can be I think he absorbed those two. What's everyone's opinion on this?
-
Oh riiiiight! I was looking at it the wrong way. I was viewing it as he was going to use it, rather than he had just used it.
-
Hmmmmm. I'm really hoping he starts using some of his other weapons. Bums me out how he teased us with the high frequency spear in chapter 181. I mean, he brings it out for all of one panel, doesn't attack anyone with it, and it's retracted by the next panel.
-
I have a question about this too. Who gave Aptom the high-frequency spear? I mean, what zoanoid did he absorb that had that power? Or did Khan just make it up? I've looked at the "list" of the zoanoids he has absorbed. NONE of the ones listed, or any other zoanoids have it as a weapon. This has been killing me :/

Kamen Rider OOO series discussion
TheAptomStrain replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I really enjoyed the first episode! That's basically all I can say, because I don't want to ruin anything for anybody. Loved the OP but as TW said, Nothing beats W-B-X and Journey Through The Decade. Edit: Really excited to see what his Rider Kick will be like! -
Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion

^ this Spoilers Easily my favorite series now. The ending was amazing to me. I truly thought that they could have ended the series on episode 48, although 49 was great for closure. Shoutarou and Phillip's parting of ways was a real tear jerker, and their reunion was really deep to me. I really liked how Shoutarou still had to remind himself that he was no longer Double, although he was awesome as Joker (reminded me a lot of Black, NOT A BAD THING) And I loved how in the final fight they (Double) went through ALL of their forms just to take down ONE dopant, just to prove that they were still badass and wouldn't let Fuuto cry because of any dopant, no matter how weak/strong they are. -
Kamen Rider OOO spoiler/update thread

I wish the Kuwagata was the main suit. Kamen Riders need to be based on some sort of insect, to me. I agree with you Ryuki! Same with you Spleach. They're trying waaay too hard to make it look awesome, but instead it just looks corny. -

The green one does remind me of Aptom, Ryuki. Specifically Aptom IV. The face is almost the exact same and the appendages coming from his forearms resemble the appendages coming out of Aptom IV's thighs. Also the overall insect-like appearance. -
Kamen Rider OOO spoiler/update thread
TheAptomStrain replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
The only one I really like is the green design. We've had some kind of weird rider motifs (like a barcode, and the letter W). But I'm not too keen on a Rider based on a mammal. -
Signed.

Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion

Has anyone noticed that Double's HardBoiler and Kabuto's Kabuto Extender are the same bike? Not the same year obviously, But definitely the same model. I even looked it up. They're both Honda CBR1000RR's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CBR1000RR
