  1. Cool Though they are big, could you reduce them to about half their present size? My screen is set to high resolution so I can see the whole thing but many use lower resolutions than I do and would have to scroll to see the whole image.
  2. Possibly but it doesn't necessarily have to be a well known company.
  3. Power wise yes, but control wise no. The Guyver's haven't shown the level of control needed to pull something like that off.
  4. Nice concept art, just need to work on proportions and detailing.

    Guyver 1 joints

Yes, at most you can only pose them.
  6. Guyverfanatic's sig shows how to get the english language version of the comic book/Manga The movies and cartoons/anime can be found online, you'll just have to do a little searching. Aside from the many anime resellers there are Amazon and ebay. If you want something more local, then check the Forbidden Planet comic shop.
  7. Thanks Kain, I'm sure some of the board members can put that information to good use.
  8. In the upcoming live action movie of the Transformers word has leaked that the Xbox 360, iPod and Plasma TVs are going to be Transformers, Cool or product marketing at its worse, you decide

Unfortunately the long periods between updates and the trouble we had before with the site being hacked has really reduced activity on the site but hopefully after the next update things should pick back up.
  10. As some of us have been waiting over a year since they annouced it was being made so its hard to be overly excited anymore but I'm sure once it is officially released interest will pick back up.
  11. I haven't seen this movie myself yet but from what I hear the movie was a big disappointment. The effects and fight scene were awesome by all accounts but the characters and story were all messed up and made some fans extremely angry with how the movie was done. So don't expect the movie to make all that much sense and think of it as mostly eye candy. Recommend fans of the comic not watch it unless they can accept it as a totally seperate interpretation, or at least wait for the video release.
  12. Well unfortunately the closest thing you'll see is a fan created game that utilizes mugen for a 2D gaming experience. But now that the new anime series is out we might see an official one in the future, it all depends if the market share is big enough to convince them to try to market it in other medias. After all that's how games like Full Metal Alchemist came about, no guaruntee on quality though.
  13. Actually the shield can be maintained even after firing the Matrix Bomb since the effect is secondary to the shield itself. Just like the WG gravity shield is secondary to the blast field. One is generated by the other but power does not directly flow between them. The shield is only needed to provide the conditions needed to generate the final effect so it remains stable before, during, and after. The power of the Matrix Bomb comes from a zero point energy effect local to the space time along the surface area of the shield. The shield itself only needs to create the conditions needed for the effect, it doesn't directly power the Matrix Bomb so it is not strained or drained by it. Thus it is possible for Dreadnought to use repeated Matrix Bombs for as long as he can maintain the desired effect. Essentially all he's doing is redistributing the energy of the universe for a desired effect. But there is a limit before such an act starts to destabilize space time and thus make the formation of a matrix bomb more and more difficult to obtain. This basically means he has to move around if he wants to use the Matrix Bomb a lot otherwise he'd have to wait for space time to stabilize between use.
  14. Theorizing is fine but fact is aside from the possible damage that G1's CM may have endured when he got blown up with the Relic then there is nothing solid for us to base any analysis on aside from our assumptions. Unless of course Takaya decides to have either G1 or G3 get their CM's damaged and then show us if its possible but since there is only 2 Guyvers in the fic this is unlikely and a 3rd (a new 4th), if introduced, unit would most likely be a killable throwaway character like G2 was. All we know for sure though is the CM is the only truly artificial part of the Guyver, everything else is either organism or host.
  15. No, when removed the host data is erased from the CM automatically. Though if you have two damaged units you can have the possibility of two trying to bond to the same host but ultimately they would fail but if the units get repaired then they could possibly then function as you describe but the host data would be split between them and like Jurassic Park something else would have to fill the gaps in the genome and host brain data. So you could go wild with the results on that idea. Incidently in this scenario the original host would essentially be dead having been torn between the two units.
  16. Yes, 2 units can't be bonded at the same time because of the CM's. They weren't designed to function on the same host unit, which is one of the reasons why the Relic CM had to merge itself with the host CM in order to form the Gigantic. It wouldn't work as a seperate unit since control/interface with the host and unit have to be perfectly synchronized. But if you really want clones why not invent something like a device that can backup the data of one CM to another. After all we do know CM's can be damaged so perhaps the Creators have a way to rescue the host data from a damaged CM and replace it. Though this would mainly be for use when a unit remover is for some reason either non-functional or unavailable. But for your fic you can have it that the CM copied was fully functional so you would have 2 identical hosted units. Thus giving you the twin Guyver scenario. Course there are other interesting scenarios, like what if the copy was different somehow (it was made for Creator hosts in mind after all), but I'll leave that up to your imagination.
  17. On there own it is unlikely that the CM's can repair themselves but it is mostly believed that the Relic CM's can regenerate a unit CM. For example it is believed that Sho's CM took some damage when the Relic he was in was obliterated and that combined with the need for the Relic CM's to reconfigure themselves to merge with the host CM is why it took about 6 months for the Gigantic to form. But that's presently only a theory since we have yet to corroborate it. Though since the Relic's were the base of operations for the Creators that it is likely it has that capacity since we do know the Units were stored aboard them and may even have been created on them so the ability to provide maintainence is a logical conclusion.
  18. Well the problem is the Japanese release is still only volume 1 and it looks like this, http://www.guyver.jp/dvd.html And they are required by law to state the region settings. So it looks like you got the Hong Kong special Sorry Will but even if its a copy Hong Kong is the best Bootlegger capital of the world, so at least you can watch a good copy until the real official version is released. Unlike with tapes a DVD copy can be identical to the original after all. So you still got a good copy, just not the official relase of it.
  19. Pretty much, Adamantium is virtually indestructable but not totally. But in terms of Guyver Universe Characters it would take a Zoalord just to dent it. Though it would be better if it was a combination though of Adamantium and Vibranium, if you're going to use Marvel super metals you might as well use both of them. That way the armor would be both near indestructable and be able to absorb virtually any impact. Then it would take a Guyver Zoalord to pose any threat. But in the Guyver Universe those medals don't exist. Oh well.

  21. K-9 will make an appearance on the new Doctor Who series, starring David Tennant as the tenth doctor encarnation. Though by appearances the years haven't been that good to it. Oh well, the good/interesting news is that K-9 will soon star in its own comedy sci-fi series which will be a combination of CG animation and live action. Along with a updated look. Now if only we can convince Sony to resurrect their Aibo line and revamp it into the K-9 model
  22. The board is a bit slow/dead right now so it may take some time for anyone else to respond. But we're mostly alright, just busy with other stuff.
  23. This is due in part because W'Kar units are not Guyver Units. Additionally the W'Kar element's dimensional energy interferes with the function of the Matrix. Providing any being so equiped with a natural barrier against the Matrix and its power. Though this mainly applies to W'Kar and Anubis since most of the other W'Kar reproductions aren't equipped with the W'Kar element.
  24. Yes, it was released in two options, the movie by itself or the box set which contained extra two movies like Mighty Joe Young as part of the deal. All restored to original quality.
