well durendal, you know i love working on translating things and working with english in this case i think guy is a good term for person. as for kai.... it means suspicious, mystery, apparition.. I might be tempted to say boogie man... but that sounds childish. we could call them stranger... but that sounds too generic. oh hold on... kaijin can be translated as 'unknown'. sound familiar? do you think we can use that as separate from agito? another option is 'creep' assigned to a person who is creepy. I thik 'creep' is a good translation for kaijin. I want to suggest this over all other ideas. creep is also a term I've often heard used for the monster in horror movies or games. EDIT: but i thik kaijin is used quite often isn't it? should we use the generic term 'bad guy' ? is that what the show makers are suggesting?

I like green beans, I have them in my fridge. and singapore looks beautiful the hot sun, it must be very hot most of the time but i guess you musdt be used to it. although i was surprised at teh people in that picture, I expected your people's skin to be darker because of the location of singapore. it is really interesting. I wonder if this is normal because i always thought that indigenous people's have dark skin to pretoect from the sun, but well i have no idea of the history of singapore, perhaps your coutry was invaded a lot just like the uk? oh, and hooray!! I am intelligent yes, I loved the cg on transformers too... I want to get a special version of teh film where you can cut out the crappy story and just watch the CG. XD

it's awfully nice of them to produce a new tv series about doctor who and then show it to us for free! I wonder if the new ideas in this will be as exciting as the first ones in the one done by rose tyler. it's very jarring to see new people doing the same series that I had gotten used to, but at least i don't have to worry about seeing that blasted captain jack again. yeah. no problem. 仮面 means masked. I don't understand why there would be a problem. i think i know what you are getting at... you are saying that when the producers of the show write it differently, that means there is some differentiation. I don't believe that is the case... I think that they use 仮面 for the title because that is how masked rider is written traditionally. I don't think it means they are trying to separate the two terms. either case, we write masked rider. I think the only time we should ever use kamen rider is when the producers intentionally write カメンライダー

well you also have kamen rider dragon knight. that is fresher in people's minds and to be honest i think many may have forgotten about the old saban masked rider. Our lot is to work through the prejudice and not let prejudice rule us. in the example you used, when it says kamen it is using it as a noun, so that should certainly be considered translate-able. those kanji mean 'masked'. even on the title screen of blade, it is written in english 'masked rider'. you are right it may require a lot of corrections, but it is easy to copy to notepad and do an auto-replace. links can be fixed. I don't think that is too hard. I've already set up redirects from masked rider page to kamen rider page. if the page is renamed, it will over-write the redirect and automatically create a redirect from the old version. if you look at the main kamen rider series page, you will see that all the links are pointed towards page entitled 'masked rider *****' I am clear on what would need to be done. pretty much so if you are ok with it, I'll do hte changes.

well if kamen rider were in katakana, it would be a proper noun... but since it is written in kanji, should we not translate it? I think we should. although this brings up all sorts of questions... should we translate super sentai... edit: I edited the page, it can easily hit 'undo' if we decide to keep it as kamen.

I don't think people are referring to any type of humour. den-o was comedic in style. ryuki had humour but the show itself was not comedic in style.
