Hyp3rB14d3 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 You know, Exia turning pink and getting a huge speed increase kind of seems like a rip-off of the Battosai-mode from the Rurouni Kenshin anime. Not that I'm complaining. Aolia said that this was caused by allowing access to full-utilization of the GN drives, right? Does that mean all of them can turn pink? Quote
durendal Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 I don't think that every one of them has the same ability like this one, that would defeat the purpose of their uniqueness. So far, we only managed to see the semi special abilities of Dynames and Virtue, their full potential might be somehow linked to that. Also, I think this pinkish mode is more similar to the after image of F91. Imagine how much G-force the pilot has to endure in that mode. I'd like to imagine Exia doing that afterimage while docked into the GN Arms. Quote
Renegade Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Does that mean that Nadleeh has the Trial system back? That would certainly even things! But then again, is it a separate system from the GN drives. Quote
durendal Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 I think that it would be related to the GN drives. As it seems that the GN drives are directly linked to Veda. But I'm wondering if the GN drives of the United Nations are linked to Veda as well. Quote

But I'm wondering if the GN drives of the United Nations are linked to Veda as well. I don't think they are. While the Trinities did have a link to Veda, it was more of a hacked link by Alejandro Corner and Ribbons Almack. The GN Drives that were given to the U.N. don't have that luxury, so the Trial system would not work on them ( shame too, now that I bet Virtue/Nadleeh's link to Veda is probably restored) Likewise for the Trans-Am system, which even the Trinities wouldn't have, since they were not included in the original plans, and are knock off GN Drives based on data of the true GN Drives that the original 4 Gundams have. Quote
durendal Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 I find it odd that the Trial system not working on the GN-X. If that is not the case, why is Tiera so furious when he revealed the existence of Nadaleh to the opposing forces? Perhaps the Trial system is some sort of an enhance Minovsky Particle emitter that renders GN drives (or even other mobile suits) useless, something which is similar to an EMP, but without the after effects. It seems that the first season will be coming to an end. I've read spoilers out there and things are pretty exciting. People are dying left and right, and will leave us hanging for more. I'm convinced that it's no rumor since it was posted way back in mid february and it's prediction for the episode that just came out a week ago were spot on. I hope Code Geas 2 comes out immediately after Gundam 00 ends. Quote

I hope Code Geas 2 comes out immediately after Gundam 00 ends. It all depends one the true specs of the Trial system. If it indeed is like you say, and does effect in general, all GN drives, it'd be possible. Maybe Tieria wasn't being 100% specific when he activated it. Especially since the Throne Zwei didn't get deactivated. So I am thinking the trial system does have a limit to how far it works... but any source so far still states that it can "Control and Shut down any mobile suits connected to Veda" But then... it could also mean "Any GN Drives that used plans from Veda", and while the Trinity and GN-X's Tau Drives aren't purely from Veda... they probably share a lot in common, and maybe why the Trial system worked on them. Quote
Renegade Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I thought that the Trial System had control over any GN drive powered MS by the very nature of the particles? Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I thought that the Trial System had control over any GN drive powered MS by the very nature of the particles? Don't know where you got that from, but Tieria clearly states that the Trial System has complete control over any mobile suit linked to Veda. Now Tieria may have left some things out when he said this... OR he could have said exactly what the systems does. But note that in Episode 21, when the Gundams lost their links to Veda, they went completely silent. It was only after they rebooted, with an operating system not linked to Veda, that they were able to move again. Since Virtue is already able to block communications ect... from normal devices, it makes sense that the Trial system works in the similar fashion, except on a more extreme level, by blocking a Gundams link to Veda ( and since the Tau Drives were not in the original plan, the Trial system seems to indicate it was ment to be used on the actual CB Gundams.) durendal Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 Lockon, Lockon...... Lockon, Lockon...... Lockon, Lockon..... Man, that just sucks. And here I was hoping that won't happen. Guess this is one of those last minute changes they were talking about. But wait, they didn't actually show it right? So there is still a chance..... Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Lockon, Lockon...... Lockon, Lockon...... Lockon, Lockon.....Man, that just sucks. And here I was hoping that won't happen. Guess this is one of those last minute changes they were talking about. But wait, they didn't actually show it right? So there is still a chance..... Yeah... I am hoping he'll "Pull a Mwu" and survive somehow. I kinda doubt it... but there is always hope I suppose. Of course the big question is... did he get Ali? It looks like he was engulfed by the beam, but after that, all we saw was Lockon. With only 2 episodes left in this season, it may just be possible for Lockon to have survived, even if we don't hear about it in the next 2 eps. I am just mainly dissapointed that Graham has been left out a lot in the last couple episodes. Sure, chances are he'll make a big comeback in 24 or 25... I expect big things from his GN drive Flag. I just hope the spoilers I read about him aren't true... even though it'd be one hell of a scene. Quote
Hyp3rB14d3 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 I'm pretty sure Lockon died in vain. While he definitely hit Saachez, it looked like he only got part of the suit. We'll be seeing Ali again, although probably in a different (or repaired) mobile suit. Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted March 23, 2008 Posted March 23, 2008 Whoa, episode 24 was sad. Nadleeh and Kyrios damaged severly, the Ptolemy destroyed losing both Chris and Licht. Leaving only Setsuna to fight the new mobile armor with the GN ARMS... but it doesn't look like it will turn out too well... Setsuna will most likely survive, as well as Tieria despite the damage Nadleeh took. Kyrios seems to be still able to fight thanks to Hallelujah... I really want to see him survive and continue the plot with Soma... it's been one of the more interesting plot lines of the series, and I'd hate for it to go to waste. And poor Feldt. But since it looks like Dynames' core was on the battle conatiner that got away... maybe she will pilot it in season 2? I was kinda happy to see Patrick Colasour bite it... I never really liked him. AGAIN I was dissapointed that we never got to see Graham at all. But that probably means he'll be sticking around in season 2. Whew! Only one more episode to go! And it looks like it'll be a doozy! Quote
durendal Posted March 24, 2008 Author Posted March 24, 2008 Well, I don't know about Lockon doing a Mwu, but I have an inclination that Tiera would be doing a Char. But I get the feeling that the last episode will be more on Setsuna. (Duh! as if it isn't already a give away:lol:) Quote
Renegade Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 But wait, they didn't actually show it right? So there is still a chance..... Yeah...about that... Also all the 2-dimensional comic relief dies in episode 24. I'll leave it to you to figure out who that list includes. More importantly, we never saw what happened to Ali al Sarchas. The scene just shifted away without any mention of what has happened to him. I also have a question. How many GN-Arms do they have? Initially, I thought they had one and it was destroyed with Dynames, but I now believe that there is one for each weapons bay, and Ptolemy had two of those right? Or are the other two attachments to the main body also weapons bays? If so, there would be a GN Arms and weapons bay for each of the original Gundams. If the GN-Arms, Trans-Am system, and additional attachments were used in unison, then these Gundams would be stronger than those of any other series. Quote

Granted, there could be more either in planning, or at the main HQ... Realisitcally, they probably have one designed for each Gundam. But so far, only Exia and Dynames used theirs, and doesn't look like either of them will make it into the second season. The Ptolemy only had 2 combat containers unfortunately. One got launched with Exia and it's GN Arms unit, while the other is what the remaining crew managed to escape in, along with Dynames' core and GN Drive to keep it operational. Quote
Archangel Ashes Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 i think Lockon is dead and if he comes back then that takes away meaning to his death i mean i think Shaachez is dead because it hit like a little above the waist, I'll be pissed if he comes back but not as much at that dumb trinity bitch. I want her to die so badly, i really can't stand her existence. Hallelujah is the best, i love that guy. I can't wait until he has ana actual one on one fight with that girl or kills the bear guy. ep 24 indeed very sad and i was sad cause like now everyone is dying and it makes me wonder who is going to replace them in the 2nd season. The next ep is sadly going to be a recap ep so its nothing really to look forward to and what's up with the useless queen? i mean the 1st opening makes her all important looking but she has done nothing. People hate Relena from Gundam Wing and call her useless but i mean at least Relena did something unlike this chick who just is there. Quote
durendal Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 Well, finally saw the last episode. They answered a few things but still left out a lot to keep you to crave for more. There are something shown on the last few minutes to look forward at the second season. And I felt it was strange that they didn't show the titular Gundam in the series, and now it makes sense after the last episode. O Gundam being the first Gundam and OO Gundam being the first of the second generation. Ooh~ Guess we'll have to wait till August to find out what happens. Quote
Renegade Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 (edited) Well, finally saw the last episode. They answered a few things but still left out a lot to keep you to crave for more. And I felt it was strange that they didn't show the titular Gundam in the series, and now it makes sense after the last episode. O Gundam being the first Gundam and OO Gundam being the first of the second generation. Ooh~ Guess we'll have to wait till August to find out what happens. Awesome ending! Alleluja pulled the Razlo/Livio trick from Trigun Maximum, not that I didn't predict it! I'm pretty disappointed that Halleluja died just when we saw their full potential. Combined, they're probably stronger than anyone! Give Kyrios a GN-Arms and its extra equipment, and you've got an unbeatable killing machine. I'm kinda disappointed that the one guy with some balls, Lasse(What the hell kind of name is that?), died. I did like how they explained the physical sword's purpose, and Exia couldn't be destroyed in a more GAR way. That ace in the hole concept also explained Exia's role in the group. Before I just thought that it had the same function as Kyrios which didn't make much sense. I can't help but love the fact that Mr. Man-Servant turns out to be the real mastermind. And he will rule the world with his harem of androgynous man-servants in matching uniforms! Why the hell would a millionaire planning world domination fight himself though? Did Man-Servant just pretend that he couldn't pilot that Mobile Armor? I really like the ending of the last Flag Fighter, though it seems like he should have a more significant role in the next season considering the amount of screen time he had without moving the plot. The mankind mask is a nice touch perhaps he's going to become a Char? And THANK GOD Saji didn't waste anymore screen time whining like an emo bitch. I think Tieria made his girlfriend a new hand...OH! I bet their going to hook up, and that's what makes Saji snap! That would make their characters, so much more interesting as well. Characters who's deaths were sad and pointless: Lockon (He didn't even kill Ali, so why did he have to follow him, even after destroying the main fleet?) and Lasse. In a series where every character can die that's a pretty good record since Lockon's death probably has a larger effect of inspiring the others in the next season, but they didn't show that very well in the last few episodes as the injury he received was enough to inspire the others. I just realized that the GN Arms and Weapons' Bay is exactly the same as the G-Fighter and G-Armor from the original series. Remember when Amuro fought against that Giant Mobile Armor, the Big Zam? Exact same fight. I hope that the next season has a return to old school Gundam designs. I've come to like the new ones, but when I saw O Gundam, I almost cried. Also, I'm glad that the title has nothing to do with secret agents. But what happened to the last Gundam series with this naming scheme? ZZ Gundam was crap! It even said on the DVD box not to buy it. I hope we're not going to get the ridiculous, clunky Gundams covered in body armor again. The Mobile Suit might as well be a block with lasers coming out of one side, and missiles coming out another! Last, maybe the Meisters will get some meat on their bones now that they're all 4 years older. Hopefully will be able to tell Setsuna isn't a girl without looking at the colossal cleavage that these animators have to give every female character. Edited March 30, 2008 by Renegade Quote
durendal Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 Well for one thing, I did notice someone who looks similar to Graham with a full set of beard in the closing credits. Which might probably denote that Graham is still alive. And another thing, OO Gundam is most probably a rebuilt Exia. And O Gundam has already been shown in the first episode. So it's really a good question as to what they will call the next season. Gundam triple O? lolz. Until I see the second season of Code Geas, I'm still doubtful wether a second season scheme will live up to the first season. But then, it seems that they will be shown almost at the same time. No your completely wrong. They won't change the title. Its the second season of the same series. Also Gundam 00 will continue in 6 months. Doesn't Code Geass continue like next week? Quote
durendal Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 My mistake on the schedule then. But you are wrong about the title that they won't use the same title. Much like Code Gease, they added an R2 to the title, so I don't think Gundam OO will remain as Gundam OO, but will be renamed like Gundam OO + O, or something like that. Still, I will be doubtful of a second season without first watching how they did with Code Geas. People have tendencies making cash cows out of popular series. Quote
Archangel Ashes Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 May i ask what the hell? I mean the ending was good and all but 6 months man?! I wonder what happened to Allelujah because now Hallelujah isn't around which is really gay because i thought he was the best and that dumb trinity bitch needs to die along with the chinese chick because sh'e just annyoingly gay but Hong Long is ok. I loled at how Grahm is alive but what is Shaachez doing alive? but i guess Setsuna needs to be his death. I can't wait for the new season even though its going to feel like an eternity before it comes back, but hey Code Geass R2 comes out in alittle bit more then a week. Quote

Archangel Ashes Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 yea but i mean how did he survive they showed the lower half blowing up and the cockpit is right around there so you would figure it would also blow up like the lower half cause of the damage but yet again Graham survived. Quote
