Guest Jupiter Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Does anyone know where the story line is going to go with this movie or if Robert will return as Tony Stark? I was hoping to see Tony fighting in the suit more and seeing Pepper Potts get her armor. I'm hoping we get to see that in this movie. Does anyone have a guess who the next enemy is and what the plot might be? Any ideas? Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Nothing has been said regarding a 4th Iron Man at all. It would probably be a no brainer, considering how much Iron Man 3 made, and the fact the RDJ is probably the most iconic and stand out performance from all the Marvel movies. It was rumored before Iron Man 3 that RDJ was not really expecting to do many more, possibly with the exception of a few cameos... but Iron Man 3 hit big. I am sure Disney is going to throw as much money as it takes to get him back for another. But then again, I guess we need to see how Avengers: Age of Ultron goes first. I'd personally be ok if they called it at 3... They ended his personal stuff pretty well, and with the Avengers we will still see more of him. However, as an Iron Man fanboy, I'd still love to see another solo outing, just so long as its a good story. Quote
Mirabilis Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Yeah, it was rumored he would no longer be the face of Iron-man but I believe he did sign on to continue for a certain amount of films, my guess is the Avengers films and other cameos in the Cap, Thor, Hulk continuations etc. If they did do another Iron-Man film I would hope to see some of his more iconical enemies. They completely trashed the Mandarin, but sense they're doing aliens and such in the films I don't see why not do Fin Fang Foom. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Both RDJ and Chris Evans are going to be in age of Ultron, but unfortunately that's their last movie as those characters. Im but sure why they decided to move on, but it won't be the last of iron man and cap. We still have Rodey and Bucky! Which i would be excited if marvel went with that idea. Quote
LordSpleach Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I far as I know they are contracted to Avengers 3 too. Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 I far as I know they are contracted to Avengers 3 too. Yep. Which is why an Iron Man 4 COULD be possible, as RDJ would still be involved with Marvel and Disney. They could try and coax him to do a forth solo. That or some cameo's for RDJ in Phase 3, and ending his role as Tony after Avengers 3. Thankfully Chris Evans still has 1 more Captain America movie after all this as well. Good point to leave off on and get Buck properly in. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Its not what i read on somingsoon but I'm happy to be told different! I'd be ok if they passed the torch, but its so much better if they waited till after phase 3. thanks yall for the great news! Quote
Guest Sage Vale Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 why is every buddy always talking about iron man? no hulk? Quote
Matt Bellamy Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 why is every buddy always talking about iron man? no hulk? Because Iron Man is awesome. If it wasn't for Iron Man, we wouldn't have the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it is now. Seriously though, now that they have settled on Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, we'll hopefully see a Hulk movie in Phase 3. Especially since in recent interviews, he noted that his role in Age of Ultron is bigger and more complex. That could get people really excited for more Hulk... Despite that fact he HAS technically had 2 movies already... But since both were origin films, I would like to see a different plot line that isn't bogged down by origins. Quote

If Iron Man 4 did happen to go into production. What course of events would the story take. What does Tony do next? Quote

*Jess♥ Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 since this thread is about something that does not yet exist, please be careful in naming it, people may come in here excited to see the news only to find a lot of conjecture. If Iron man 4 is announced, it should have a separate thread for news. Quote
