Larz Zahn Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 You have a black and white version on hand, so what harm would come in trying to make a color version? At least you would know now. But i got faith dude, go for it! Quote
lost unit Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 i probably would but wouldn't put it up for show i dont think it would be poor. To be fair i would start with my basic flat colrs then mess it up with the shading and highlights and just loose the interest and go onto something else i know i can do, But cheers for the comment Larz. *Jess♥ Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 The thing about shading is, it takes more knowledge of light and shadow and form. Skills to use a program are irrelevant. I know you could do it dude, it just depends on how much you have studied how light behaves in reality. by the way, I can't see where the seam was on this image. you got this skill down that is is for sure. lost unit Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 Thanks Yuki im thinking stick to what your good at till time is right to start coloring eh. Quote
lost unit Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 go ahead Shade show us your progress love to see this picture done. Quote
Aether Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 lost unit I know its not a priority for you but in future maybe.... I know that you have some guyver models .. you could always try setting up a lamp for the light source direction and that may help you with learning about light and shadows for your artworks, just an idea... also do you have a grand plan for doing all the double page spreads??? if so it would be super awesome. but how do we go about putting these in the tanks? can you give us the tank number and pages when you do these awesome things?? this Gigantic one is great and I also loved the gigantic dark one you did before. good job! lost unit Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 thanks for the comments Aether thats a good idea i can see what you mean but applying it is a different matter i can blend to save my life it always looks crap and frustrates me, As for the double page spreads enjoy doing as long as its has a good result at the end. I just look through my volumes and think to myself that would look cool plus nobody has done them yet. I was think of merging some pictures together to make different scenes once again something we aint seen. Or even some of the data pages that are split who knows ? Quote
Aether Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I was think of merging some pictures together to make different scenes once again something we aint seen. this could be good for some wallpapers?? Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 And once again, shade brings out the big guns.... Freaking beautiful dude. Beautiful... sighs happily) Quote
Bio-Boosted Dude Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 You're the same shade from several years back I assume? That was also a regular on mangahelpers cleaning Naruto chapter covers (That was what, 5 years ago now? How depressing) Good to see you again! And good work on that colour. Lost Unit, you're doing a great job with these redrawings as well! They remind me a lot of what another guy was doing with the Advocacy scans - he was releasing "HQ" versions where he sorted out the levels and redrew bits that were messed up by the seams. He only did volumes 12 and 15 before disappearing off the face of the earth but he did quite a good job (though not quite as good as you I will admit). I made sure to keep those versions of the books. Quote
