It wasn't absorbing. He merely canceled out the frequency that was causing so much trouble. Before they could correct the mistake and re-tune the environment he used his sonic busters to whip out one and injure the other. The only thing Sho absorbed was the damage without getting killed because they couldn't hone in on his bodies frequency to vaporize it. 

 Hmm I always thought that his Sonic Buster/Emitter produced a power sound wave/shock wave that pulverized whatever it hit. That he was able to cancel sound by emitting a different frequency that was in the air or by absorbing the sound to kind of send a powerful shock wave like an amp hooked up to a guitar or something similar to that. Thanks for the varification though! Hehe
