July 12, 201312 yr In real life it's in relation to a well known site for suicides (a pretty good Chronos cover if you ask me) though Sho and crew didn't go to any remote shrines, they are pretty common in japan.

July 13, 201312 yr Author don't know about healing springs... but the area where evangelion was based, that is quite near to there. that has hot springs and sulphur vents, so it's possible. one thing I do know is that there is a 'secret' bunker under the mount, constructed for the emperor in case of enemy attack.
July 14, 201312 yr Right, that incomplete one? An insane plan from the military when you consider they wanted to build a palace inside the mountain. I think only the Cheyenne Mountain nuclear bunker tops that scope.
