How many of you know that there are people, families, children, trapped in a 7km wide piece of land, unable to go anywhere and being bombarded by weapons designed to maim and kill people indiscriminately?

 

I went to a talk today.

I like to think I know about things going on in the world... but there is much I do not know. I want to try and change the world a little today with information.

 

 

These are not weapons designed to take out military targets. these are not weapons designed to take out infrastructure.

these are weapons, designed specifically to kill people and maim those not in the direct vicinity. Men, women and children.

 

There are children who go to school traumatised because they do not know when the next weapon will rain down on them taking away their family and friends. and on occasions, their buildings are bulldozed with them still inside. if they run outside they get shot.

This is happening in our world today. not in the past. It happens on a daily basis.

 

I am not telling you this to appeal to you to do anything. there is not much anyone can realistically do unless they wish to donate to some organisations that are helping. that is not why I am writing this.

I just want people to be aware. Please pass it on.

And yet our countries support Israel in doing this because we like to support the bible, and they have a strong connection to it.  So stupid.  We shield Israel.  What do you let YOUR politicians do?

YG - this is not about the Bible. It might be what the politicians let on, but they're not insane.

 

This is about maintaining an ally in the Middle-East that all the oil-producing nations are scared of. Israel gets help from the USA, Saudi-Arabia and so on don't get nuked, and the USA gets cheap oil.

Oh yes, I completely agree with you.  But the lay person just thinks Israel and throws in support due to the bible I think.  That is why we don't protest.  Israel must be the winner in order to support god.  Automatic morality without having to think things through.

 

But yes, I agree with you on what is really going on.  However, if we don't challenge what most people are thinking even though they don't say it, then they will continue to make excuses and deny truth.  Greed and oil is truth, but god is the emotional connection that lets us get away with it.

 

And oil here isn't cheap.  The big companies are reaping profits, but I'm paying through the nose for gas, and now food.  This violence is not really improving my life.  Instead, I've got to listen to stupid things as 'wind power' kills massive amounts of birds as reasons why we don't get off our oil addiction

The main reason why Israel are not tried in the international courts  for war crimes is because the man in charge of Palestine in the gaza strip is not willing to take them to court for some reason. That part was skipped over a little because information seems to be scant. the people in gaza are mystified and don't understand why the man who is supposed to be working for them, is not working for them.

 

I did a bit of research and it does seem that the Israel campaign in the Gaza strip was in response to repeated Palestinian missile strikes. This may be the case, but it seems clear that Israel targeted indiscriminately and caused many civilian casualties.

Most notable was the clear evidence of DIME attacks. severed limbs that had been cauterized, etc.

Also, there has been a massive imbalance in the number of fatalities on either side.

I'm not certain if any of this is officially ratified though. All I know is what was made very clear by the drawings that were produced by the children who lived through it.

Children's drawings, depicting fire, destroyed buildings, tanks, bulldozers, helicopters, all firing on civilian targets and bodies laying dismembered and bleeding on the ground.
It's hard to take in.

This might not be related to the topic on hand, but may be relevant.  Funny thing that I heard.  Christians have been bullying the Muslims for a long time (crusades, etc), so God gave all the oil to the Muslims.  Find one Christian land that is rich with oil.
