Does anyone have LEGO?

I used to buy them in 1996-1998. In 1998 I was under strong impression from the game Carmageddon 2 and create a number of themed cars. In order to make realistic damage I used a lot of small pieces in some cars. Collisions was great, usually you never know which of the cars will be wasted first. I played with my brother a lot. A lot of pieces have scars now, but they still working nice.

My biggest set was bought in 1997, it was a Police Station: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6598-1

I saved a lot of money to buy it. It was a harsh times, monthly earnings of my mother was almost equal to the price of this set. Now the official price of this set is $66.

And from 1999 to 2012 my LEGO spent their time in a bag. In 2012 one of my friends decided to buy a huge LEGO airport (he loves planes and stuff). And I remembered how much I love LEGO. I decided to rebuild my Carmageddon cars and later add a huge mining dump truck to them. For this purpose I bought a set named Skull Truck:

It has really big wheels (81.6 mm in diameter). But now when I built it I don't really know if I want to demount it in order to build something else. Because it's awesome.

I tried to remember and compose my sets collection here: http://www.brickset.com/search/?ownedBy=Cannibal

Have not played with Legos in years. My folks use to buy me a bunch of different sets when I was a kid and I would use the parts to build completely different things. I remember constructing a Lego replica of Dragonzord because I could not find it in the stores for a while. Legos where so much cheaper when I was a kid. The prices now are absolutely astronomical! I understand Lego sets can become collectors items over time, but this is ridiculous! Children should be able to enjoy Legos without their parents having to lose a limb or two.

Love the Lego Guyvers Cannibal! Very awesome!

We had the much more cheaper version of it, the china made "ligao". :lol:/>

 I remember we also had something like that, but not Ligao - it was made by "Enlighten" company and called "Brick", "Shifty" (yeah roflmao ) and maybe by some other names. Also it was not rare when they put a photo of the real Lego set on their box.

In the 96-97 the quality of those sets was terrible. I have 2 minifigures from that era and they are parody of the real Lego figures. But somewhere in 97-98 they started to make decent pieces, which, at least, was compatible with real Lego.

Children should be able to enjoy Legos without their parents having to lose a limb or two.

 Recently I saw a collectible minifigure of Joker from Batman. The price was $33 :loopy:

Those Guyver legos are awesome!

I had these really chunky legos when I was small. They were all the same shapes and stuff in regular lego, just really big. I made buildings and stuff. I think they were Mega Bloks, but I'm not too sure.

I rebuilt my Carmageddon cars. In the end I have 13 cars including 2 made using official instructions (Skull Truck and Ambulance).

Spent 4 hours building Skull Truck, that was awesome

I also built a grandstand+pit lane and a Checkpoint gate. That's almost all of my bricks.

A few photos was taken:

I'll try to take more shots later.

Oh I had hundreds of lego's also had Megabloks and erector sets. Erector sets were way better and more refined and flexible, but Lego's came in major themes, were smaller, and more customizable, not to mention cheaper.  I used to have a large set of pirate and Medieval sets.

Sad to say I don't have any of it now. All thrown away years ago when I got kicked out of the house.

You're LEGO edits are fantastic Ryuki. I used to use a digital LEGO game, and there was a bod out that let you reshape and create new LEGO's. It;'s just not compatible with current PC's now.
