It's a bad movie when I can fall asleep through it. I generally don't fall asleep whilst actually doing something. I can be watching any old crap on tv and I won't be sleepy. but blade 2 and the star wars films have sent me to sleep. star wars episode 2 specifically.

I really liked all of the Blade films. I'm still a fan of Wesley Snipes.

I really liked him in Demolition Man.wesley-snipes-blade.jpg

Aren't they too old for the part? I know the new Terminator: Genesis replaced the characters with new actors accept Arnold who is still playing another terminator model. I honestly think I'd rather see new actors in SW-7. Sometimes having actors 40 years later isn't always such a great idea. Means there will be more CGI to make up for their lack of stamina in the movie. Something a much younger actor could be more capable of. Look how horrible the new Indiana Jones did. Harrison Ford was too old for the part. They could have made a new series with a younger more recent actor. Perhaps its what the fans want. But even as a Terminator fan I think its time Arnold bowed out and let someone else be the new T-850 this time. Let Summer Glau have the part.I may be a fan, But I want the best for the series. Fresh people for a fresh start. I think maybe pulling some people out of the old TSCC series would be a great move. I like Arnold, he's a great actor. But I'd rather see someone fill his shoes. Not being negative about. But you never know. But since its Star Wars, the can probably get away with it. SInce it has a huge cult following and fan base. No one will care.

one name on there made me deeply unhappy.

Andy Serkis.

even worse, I'm looking at the IMDB page... WHY is Andy Serkis being placed ABOVE The original cast???

what is up with people casting this overrated gimp?

Posted

I got fed up of people lining up to suck his ****

basically everyone is gushing about what a gifted person he is then he gets all these parts on credit just because he did lord of the rings.

I would understand if he got jobs strictly on merit of his abilities but it is clear that is not the case.

it's a similar situation to helena bonham carter and johnny depp being in every single tim burton movie. get a role on merit and suitability for teh role, okay , but get the role because you happen to be friends with a few people, that is not cool.

if he is playing a character that is not CGI then I would say I have yet to see him give a good performance on a live action role. if they got him to play a CGI character then I can only say that is cheap casting. not in money terms but in terms of creativity.

Jupiter, the way I understand it. The original cast is there to help make way for the new cast. They'll move the focus I believe in Episode 8.

Yuki, I really haven't Serkis in anything but Peter Jackson's movies(aka only LotR, Hobbit, and King Kong). I'm not saying he's great, but I wouldn't compare him to Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's friendship. And Helena is Burton's wife.

It's rumored that Harrison fords han solo will have a large important role in 7. And Ryuki? I understand what you mean. I get frustrated about Megan fox getting parts in movies just because the director wants eye candy.

Megan Fox would make a great Princess Lea.

Jai Courtney would make a great Luke Skywalker.

Just a few actors I'd love to see in a Star Wars film lol

(I'll run with it) Yeah, it's surprised me they were working together again, but what surprised me more was that she got the part for April Oneal. Acting skill aside, i never would of thought of her for April. She doesn't seem like April

I'm sorry guys. I've really been dropping the ball on new updates for episode 7 and rebels.... I've been distracted and never think to check up on this.

So if anyone gets any juicy news before i do, please share. I like surprises!

Ok so updates..... filming had started in Abu Dhadi... (sorry). Its a desert kinda like place, so rumor has it as tatooine. A set piece that looks like a ATAT foot was also spotted.

A large truck of explosives was brought on site and a huge crater was blown into the terrain. Rumors speculates that its is a crashsite of a ship.

Also a few interior sets of a shuttle have been reported, but its star wars, so no surprise there.

Ok big news.

Abrams had announced that he will be allowing people a chance to be in episode 7! bad robot, Disney and Lucas arts joined together to form a program called "force for change". Anyone who donates will have a chance.

I copied and pasted this from comingsoon. Its a quote from jj abrams.

I can agree with what you are saying, but at the same time, for Tim Burton, it must be great to have a job where you can choose to work with people you love, doing what you love.  To form your own acting troupe.  What is wrong with doing that?

damage to reputations. those actors become typecast. people start to get tired of seeing them?  I don't know. I think if you present the same thing over and over again, you may have a cult following but on a grander scale, it is disadvantageous. I'm happy they get to work together with people they love. that's really sweet. but it's almost become like a little club. it like a clique.

I saw johnny depp on pirates of the carribbean, he wasn't too bad. I saw bonham carter on fight club, she wasn't too bad, but they have become typecast now and I refuse to pay for any film they are in. If I feel that way, other people do too.

oops. don't want to rag on them too much. let them do what they wanna.

Does Star Wars really need another Episode? I mean, the series is okay, its not my favorite. I enjoyed Episodes 1-3 more than I enjoyed the old ones. But what more is there to tell from the old characters?

Star Wars always needs more episodes. more cartoons, more books, more games etc.
Disney own Star Wars, Disney want money.

hey, I want to see more Star Wars. I love the concept.
