Mirabilis Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 (edited) So this thread is about the historical records regarding the Crusades and the events that developed around them. I was very tired of always hearing how terrible Christians were, because of what the Crusader's did almost a thousand years ago. Well, I knew nothing about the Crusades at that time, and started doing my own research, I was amazed to discover how woefully ignorant the West is regarding the Crusades. I will post three Documentaries (of which I watched first) and will later post other videos and articles regarding the Crusades. Feel free to post links, or leave comments about the Crusades. =) withought further a do, lets begin, the History of the Crusades! durendal Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm sure I might be mistaken about my knowledge of history, but it was taught to us in school that among all the crusades, only the first one succeeded. Quote
Mirabilis Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 In terms of accomplishing it's military goal yes, however I believe that he was saying the reason why the third crusade was a success was because every battle Richard fought in he was victorious and left a way for future crusades tro continue. Hope you enjoy. =)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nffWVdtyWRAI believe in this CIA episode some of the material presented is wrong such as it is ok to fight for Cathoclism as he says at the end. It's difficult game to play.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAdtX9ZF8hI Edit: Should note it is never okay to kill the innocent as the people in these videos sort of illude it is wrong to kill only Jewish people, they may not say ONLY but it is sort of illuded at. I wanted to take this time to say murder or killing of the innocent of any belief system or ethinicty is evil in itself and is wrong. Edited August 27, 2014 by Mirabilis Quote
Mirabilis Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) The video regarding the attacks on the validity of the Crusades and called into question whether or not it was truly defensive, the man in the video above was speaking about.
