Toku Warrior Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 (edited) tvn have really improved lately. I think the many many discussions on the subject have really made an impact. I was really impressed with how they did those couple of notes in the first episode. they made the dialogue sound more natural but included ankh's witty way of saying things at the top. well actually, it poses an issue for me since i need to rewind and pause to read it, but that's my issue not theirs. I am sure other people don't have a problem with it. so is overtimes sub soft or hard? I would get a raw first and then get an srt?... or wait a little while? I'm pretty enthusiastic about this so I would get it right away to keep up with discussion. Yeah, TVN is getting better. They're even reaching out to the fandom to come up with creative splashes for their series projects like with DaiRanger and Kamen Rider OOO. Over-Time does both basically. They're located either mostly on TokyoTosho or over at HJU since that's where they sorta began. They have both a soft sub and later a hard sub up within a day or two after the show airs. I can usually get it RAW with an .ass file around Sunday evening before going to work. Another group that does it as a soft sub only is TaCO Bar subs. They came around mostly just to do KR OOO. When they release their soft subs, they release them via MU for the video and MF for the .ass file. Hard sub is done via torrent. I have both the links for their sites too. Here, for those interested. Over-Time Site: http://w.team-denliner.net/ TaCo Bar Site: http://twitter.com/tacobarOOO This way you can view them today and be more into the conversation. Make sure to view them with media player classic....though, you would already know that, lol. Oh they also update their versions frequently if they find any grammatical or translation errors. They do a pretty good and accurate job. Edited September 13, 2010 by Toku Warrior Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 how do i change my mediaplayer to a classic version? i have windows 7 and i don't know how to run it into classic mode. do i need to use an emulator? why do the groups make it like old style? is it a retro protest? thanks for the links. i might be able to watch it shortly. Toku Warrior Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 No, no. you don't reset your Windows player. Media Player classic is its own self contained media player just like Windows Media Player, VLC, etc... It's what your brother had me use to QC the first couple of episodes of Hurricanger when we all had tried our hands at making our own fansub group. It works best with video files that are in both .mkv and .mp4 format. I use VLC and WMP for .avi files only. Here. The link to the site where you can DL the program. http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 it was a joke.... you know me better than that dude ;) Quote
Toku Warrior Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 [emote=onion]shock[/emote] Well, do I feel sheepish. Alright you baaaaaaad boy, but no more free-be's. (Aladdin reference) [emote=onion]cry[/emote]I can't believe I fell for that. Wait, yes I can. Gullible to a good extent plus I was up for 28 hours straight yesterday and got about 6.5 hrs of sleep last night. Feeling refreshed but still somewhat lagging in the realization department. Makes it easy for me to fall victim for jokes. But hey, that link could be helpful for those who probably don't know about.....1 out of 10 members....I think.[emote=monkey]oops[/emote] Quote
*Steel Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Saw episode 1 last night. Some intresting concepts. From the trailer I thought that maybe the vending machine was a one off thing and you could use a Token/Coin/Medal in anything with a coin slot to spawn a bike. Looks like it may just be a (forgot the name of the company)thing. Its a bit more comidic than I like. I was drawn to the darker feel to some of the shows like Agito, blade and Faiz... but I'll give this a fair shot. I do like some of the ideas. I wonder how interchangable the three coin set up will be. Former police-Glove dude look way more effeminate than I can stand. I know its popular in alot of japanese shows but there really isn't enough manly men. Big, bearded with a beer belly! lol Quote
Guest DekaRed V2 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 But if ya think about it, Ankh's human form looks an awful lot like Long from Gekiranger Quote
DarkGUYVERfan Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) has the theme song started to get to any of you guys yet??? for some reason i keep "counting the medals one, two and three" in my head kamen rider ooo op Edited September 16, 2010 by DarkGUYVERfan Quote
Bobby Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I got a sample of it. Send me an e-mail. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 Actually, isn't Long's actor the same actor for Ankh??? Yes, the OP theme is addicting. It will be available for official release and purchase on November 17, 2010. Quote
Bobby Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 It's apparently the guy who played Mamose on Decade. Though I don't remember seeing him. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Actually, isn't Long's actor the same actor for Ankh??? i doubt it, he's just got similar hair. the actor for ankh reminds me more of Ra from stargate. that was probably intentional. well i watched the episode 2 release by overtime.. i won't be watching another one by them. the video went corrupt in a few places and for some messed up reason, they put 'shingo' when she said onii-chan. i dunno what the hell that's all about, but I'd rather watch it in japanese than watch a sub where i can't trust that they are translating properly. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 That's why i switched to Taco Bar's subs. I also noticed that with OT's sub but spaced it out. Yeah, it wasn't Long's actor playing Ankh. the guy that Long's actor played a Dopant in Double. the guy who plays Ankh played a member of Lucky Clover in Faiz's World in KR DCD. He also played Beetle Sazer....I think. Quote

Toku Warrior Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 Now that was sweet! Plus he performed a Rider Wars kick, lol. Quote
Bobby Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 All I can say is that it's about time he destroyed a monster with a Rider Kick. He destroyed the three previous ones with Rider Slashes. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted October 11, 2010 Author Posted October 11, 2010 The 2nd and 3rd Yummy were definitely Rider Slash hissatsu waza's. The 1st Yummy though was more like a combi of the Rider Slash and Rider Punch though. yes, it did lean more towards a slash but the hands did make very slight contact. The 3rd Yummy WAS almost defeated via a Rider Kick but that Greeed got involved at the last second. Quote
Bobby Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 So you see what I mean. Kazari got involved and saved his creation from the Rider Kick. Hope we get to see that kick get landed. Quote
Guest DekaRed V2 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Holy crap, that was f'n incredible!!! Quote
Bobby Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 With the Gorilla Arms, I think he'll execute a Rider Punch. Quote
durendal Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I was not aware until I checked the japanese wiki that the creature design was handled by the famous Yutaka Izubuchi!! For those not familiar with him, he is the one responsible Record of Lodoss War as well as various designs for mecha shows such as Daimos, Gundam, Macross, Patlabor and others as well. He is chiefly recognized as the designer of the Nu Gundam, Amuro Ray's final Mobile Suit. Quote
Bobby Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 As well as Yutaka Izubuchi, who worked on the Lords that Agito fought, and Tamotsu Shinohara who worked on the Mirror Monsters of Ryuki & the Orphnochs on 555. Quote
odin Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 I loved episode 6 a lot specially when Ooz gets frustrated because the vending machine wont change and goes trough a face of denial that made me fall of my seat laughing. the first seconds of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz_c3z3THBk Quote
odin Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 so far episode 10 is my favorite episode yet, it develops Ozu a lot and i can identify with him, he is very altruistic and likes to travel walking, i am the same way only i don't have a boxer's fetish , ankh on the other hand don't like in the least, there is something about him that i really don't like and he has not been developed that much, the cake guy cracks me up and the guy with the doll on his arm just gives me the creeps, oh and i love the transformation combos even tho the costume is simplified the designs for each combo are very stylish so far my favorite is the Lion combo.
