Larz Zahn Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 any one else notice that naruto went into sage mode while moving when he was escaping the island? in the manga (obviously) Quote
durendal Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 So he can go Sage mode while in Kyubi mode? That haven't cross my mind yet. So he's uber powerful now? But I'm starting to think that the fights now are power based instead of skill based. With Naruto getting a huge powerup, what kind of development did he have in terms of skill? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 in terms of skill, he is so focused and able to keep kyuubi bound by his technique. he is able to use all that power due to his skill. it's no more power than he ever had before, he is simply learning how to control it. remember the fight with orochimaru. and with pain. that power unbridled, ws able to be combated by those opponents with lower power but better techniques. it's all about technique for naruto to get better at combat. yeah i noticed he went sage mode while moving. i thought it was pretty clever. he must have gathered the energy as he was travelling. that's some amazing focus he has now. Larz Zahn Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 (edited) he wasnt in his glowing kyubi mode when he went sage. he was normal and went outside the training room to see what was going on an went sage while being chased. however, when he was talking to the real pain, his eyes did convert to the red eyes while in sage mode, i got so psyched when i read that. wait... durandel, are you caught up in the manga? or did i misinterpert your post... durendal Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 Uh... yes, I'm updated with the manga. I don't think kyubi mode has been animated yet. I thought you were referring to his dash towards the war zone, which he was in kyubi mode, wasn't he? Quote
*Jess♥ Posted May 14, 2011 Author Posted May 14, 2011 to be honest durendal, I'm the same as you. i can't remember exactly when it happened either but i do remember my feelings upon seeing it happen. ..... ..... hmmm.... ... you know what. I am REALLY curious to see how he will use his old shadow clone trick with his new techniques and newly found energy. that zetsu army is not so much of a challenge in my mind. although they've already taken quite a hit of course. I'm just thinking of how naruto has adapted to his drawbacks in the past, how creative he is, i think we will see some wonderful stuff. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 oh sorry. he went sage while on the island. then he went kyuubi to get off the island. and yes, im really eager to see how he holds up in the war. i doubt he'll get to fight the lower class enemies. im thinkin that as soon as he gets there, he'll either target or be targeted by madara. if i remember correctly, he was limited to like... 5 or 6 clones in sage mode during the pain fight. i seriously hope he overcomes that cause i really want to see an army of sage narutos. and i think bee said he cant use shadow clones while in kyuubi mode. i think. *Jess♥ Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 oh did he? I don't remember that, but i trust ya. oh yeah actually, I'm remembering something.. about his control of the chakra or something... something I noticed last night. I'm advocating the anime here. the manga sometimes leaves things unclear. watching last night the latest episode. danzo is very different to how i initially thought. the anime really made it clear what sort of a person he was. in the manga, he appeared like just a bad guy, but in the anime it showed how he really did love konoha and just wanted to protect it as much as he could. everything he did, was for konoha. it made me a little sad actually. also, it made me think about danzo and sarutobi and how their relationship relates to naruto and sasuke. although it is flipped a little. sasuke was really skilled and full of negativity. sarutobi was full of light and full of skills. it's like the skill level was reversed. durendal Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 With the Kyubi's chakra up for grabs, I think it would be easier for Naruto to make an army of shadow clones. And if he managed to master sage mode easily while in training, imaging what an army of naruto could do. Also, I don't think Madara would need Naruto anymore. I think instead of Naruto, he'll just go for the KinGin brothers. Why else is he be after the bigass urn? Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 that wasnt even a tenth of the kyuubi's real power wasnt it? if he wants to regain the 10 tailed beast, wouldnt he need the full kyuubi's chakra? or would simply a portion be enough? besides, if it were me, i would only settle for second best (urn) if the primary source is unreachable, with naruto on the way, why settle for second best anymore? i love the danzo fight in the anime, it really explains some things that i was confused about in the manga. like the susano'o. i freakin love that. i hope that sasuke forms a full body with legs, and fights naruto who hopefully goes full beast mode. one thing about danzo that im frownin about is his arm... the uchiha eyes are fully red. i wish that the artists added in the whites of the eyes. as it stands, it looks awkward. but im still loving that fight. and yes ryuki, danzo is more easier to side with on his approach to protect konoha. well crap.. i didnt wanna say something and be wrong... it was when bee was teaching naruto how to do the beast bomb thingy, and naruto tried to do the rasengan. i cant find that issue.. i must of deleted it by accident. i have up to 525, and then 530 to the latest. ya know i was always confused why they called it the rasengan, but after seeing how the fourth named it after what the ninetails could do and seeing it for myself(naruto 4 tails fight with orochimaru) i get it now. Quote
durendal Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Rasengan literally means "Spiral Ball". Looking at how the rasengan works, it would require the swirling or spiraling of the chakra into a small ball. So when it first appeared, it's pretty much explanatory. However, it was pretty awesome for the 4th to be able to come up with the technique from the Kyubi. I can imagine how much more powerful Konoha would be if the 4th was still alive in the present day. I'm clearly impressed with the 4th and his legacy. The meeting with his son almost put me to tears. And I was awestrucked when I saw how he sealed the Kyubi. Literally jaw dropping. Quote
odin Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 The series is starting to catch my attention now that the war has already started, I am very curious about why madara says he can complete his plan now when he does not have the 8 and 9 tails I don't really think that the twins that are trapped in the urn have enough chakra to act as substitutes, maybe to sub for the 8 tails but I doubt they could replace the 9 tails even tho they sorta have his chakra, or maybe the giant statue does not really require a specific type of tailed beast maybe just having the chakra is enough to fill the spot, I hope there will be an explanation on this soon. *Jess♥ Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 i usually read them on mangastream. I think they're hard to get ahold of now before a certain number of chapters. i think they keep 5 back issues online. Quote
durendal Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Don't worry, mangareaders have them online. That's where I usually read them. Also, I think Madara let loose the bigass statue because he learned that the 8 tails and 9 tails are heading to him. Kinda makes him think that his plan is finally complete, as he has this impression that he can succesfully capture the 8 and 9 tails. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 whooopsss!!!! sorry durandel. i always thought that gan was gun.. myyyy baaadddd... see, for some reason i got it in my head that rasengan was spiraling gun, so i was always a bit confused about that, but when they explained the 4th named it after he saw the nine tails do it, it suddenly made sense to me.. see, now im just embarassed. my japanese is just horrible, but i thought i had that part nailed down pretty solid. and yeah, when naruto met his dad an all, that was a great episode. i loved the anime version more than i do the manga version. i cant wait to see him meeting his mom. thats gonna be so awesome. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 ok i just read manga 545.... i complete tripped out and naruto seriously scares me now. hes that powerful. anybody read it? cause i dont wanna go and spoil something by accident. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 I'm up to date with it. read it every thursday or friday where possible. I remember there was some uncertainty wether he could use his kage bunshin while in ninetails yellow aura mode. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 yeah, that issue kinda blew that worry away. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 so i read a few more and naruto has several rasengan tricks up his sleeve, im glad he can play a little with the white zetsu's before the big fight. and meeting gaara's dad was pretty cool. when ya first realize this was gonna be an issue about those two i was a little disappointed, but im so thrilled with it now. it really made the dad look good when talking to gaara. and i loved at how surprised his dad was when gaara used his techniques. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 I agree, I am almost always disapointed when i learn that the issue is going to be about somebody else... but then it turns out to be a real corker XD Quote
durendal Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 You know what's cool about Naruto? It's not just the cool ninjutsu or techniques, or even the skills that they do. It's actually the interactive drama they each individual presents. Naruto and his parents. Sasuke and his brother. Now Gaara and his father. They all initially present their relationship as adverse, but only to find out later that their feelings go deeper than what is being actually shown. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 its kinda a pattern durendal. one i didnt notice till you pointed it out. nearly all the really strong characters have someone that they blame or hate. only to later realize that the person(s) they had a problem with really was looking out for them to begin with. (i said NEARLY) refresh my memory, did naruto blame anyone early on in the series? Quote
durendal Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 No, it was actually the other way around. People detested him, yet he bears no malice among them. Now, Konoha see's Naruto as their hero and last hope. Chances of him becoming the Hokage has now increased significantly. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 i'm not happy with the anime these days. have you see the recent episodes? it's kinda sickening what they are doing. they have kakashi acting like a complete moron and they even had konohamaru performing a harem jutsu. he can't do that. the only reason naruto could do it was because of his huge reserves of chakra. they're not respecting the source material and it's making me feel sad. Quote
durendal Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I've lost respect for the anime years ago. The only good manga to anime conversion is if the manga is already finished. I still wonder why you still watch the anime knowing that it will only depress you. Quote
