It rained early this morning, but it seems to have quieted down now; maybe it won't rain all day today.

it's not raining here but we got the typical cloud cover making for a very dull day. well we are to the east of the mountains so the clouds have emptied by the time they get over us. most of the time.

it's very cold, we have the central heating on most of the day now.

It's cleared up now, still a bit cloudy out, but the sun is shining now, and things seem to have quieted down. Though it was a bit windy earlier.

I just got to page 281 of Flesh and Blood; I've been slowing down about writing it, as you've probably guessed, both since I was spending a lot more time on TV Tropes, and because I wasn't having much inspiration.

Well, me and my dad are going to visit family up north while my brother is going to spend Thanksgiving with his girlfriend.

Traditionally we all cook something for dinner, but I end up making desert most of the time. Also, if there's a good movie around the house we all sit down and watch it, or we play games like Yu-Gi-Oh or whatever's around.

Ah, that sounds fun. We don't really play any games then, but sometimes we'll all get together and watch a movie after the dinner.

It is until the VCR/DVD player goes out from being used for so long.

Yeah, we sometimes get frost in the early, early mornings when it's particularly cold, but it never stays for very long. Mom's had to go out an cover the plants so they won't freeze a couple times this past week, and I've spent a fair amount of time in front of the heater warming up, but we don't get snow this far south in California.

but you are lucky you don't get ice. it's awful when the snow doesn't melt and gets compacted. we have this horrible type of snow that compacts easily into solid ice. then it is impossible to walk on it.

I've just reached page 284 of Flesh and Blood; it's starting to come easier now, I'm happy to say. I think I just needed to work on some of my other projects, since I've been focussing so much on this one.

Ick; that doesn't sound pleasant at all. Maybe you should think about getting a pair of ski poles, or at least something that can stab though the ice and be used as a support when you're walking.
