*Kenji Murakami Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 It rained early this morning, but it seems to have quieted down now; maybe it won't rain all day today. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 it's not raining here but we got the typical cloud cover making for a very dull day. well we are to the east of the mountains so the clouds have emptied by the time they get over us. most of the time. it's very cold, we have the central heating on most of the day now. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 It's cleared up now, still a bit cloudy out, but the sun is shining now, and things seem to have quieted down. Though it was a bit windy earlier. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 I just got to page 281 of Flesh and Blood; I've been slowing down about writing it, as you've probably guessed, both since I was spending a lot more time on TV Tropes, and because I wasn't having much inspiration. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 It rained for a little while earlier this morning, but it seems quiet now. Yesterday was pretty much clear, happily enough. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 It's been raining sort of off and on today; right now it's off, but it might be back on again soon. Then again, it might not, it seems kinda hard to tell today. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Today hasn't been rainy at all, I'm happy to say; just cold. It's almost Thanksgiving, too; I always enjoy the holliday, since Mom makes such great food. How are you guys planning to celebrate, if you are? Quote
river_chaos Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Well, me and my dad are going to visit family up north while my brother is going to spend Thanksgiving with his girlfriend. Traditionally we all cook something for dinner, but I end up making desert most of the time. Also, if there's a good movie around the house we all sit down and watch it, or we play games like Yu-Gi-Oh or whatever's around. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 24, 2010 Author Posted November 24, 2010 Ah, that sounds fun. We don't really play any games then, but sometimes we'll all get together and watch a movie after the dinner. Quote
river_chaos Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 It is until the VCR/DVD player goes out from being used for so long. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 Well, yes, I suppose that goes without saying. Did you have a good Thanksgiving? Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 I've (finally) managed to make it to page 282 of Flesh and Blood. Quote

Actual snow, not just thick hail or sleet or something? Wow, that is pretty weird. Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 I just made it to page 283 of Flesh and Blood; I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think I might be getting back into my groove, storywise. Quote

Yeah, we sometimes get frost in the early, early mornings when it's particularly cold, but it never stays for very long. Mom's had to go out an cover the plants so they won't freeze a couple times this past week, and I've spent a fair amount of time in front of the heater warming up, but we don't get snow this far south in California. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 really? i'm surprised you get frost, but i keep forgetting that the uk is far warmer than it should be for the position. but you are lucky you don't get ice. it's awful when the snow doesn't melt and gets compacted. we have this horrible type of snow that compacts easily into solid ice. then it is impossible to walk on it. *Kenji Murakami Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 I've just reached page 284 of Flesh and Blood; it's starting to come easier now, I'm happy to say. I think I just needed to work on some of my other projects, since I've been focussing so much on this one. Quote

Ick; that doesn't sound pleasant at all. Maybe you should think about getting a pair of ski poles, or at least something that can stab though the ice and be used as a support when you're walking.
