July 11, 201015 yr Author Yeah; she's really something, I'm glad I managed to find her. ----------------------------------- Chapter 5, page 4.
July 12, 201015 yr Author Just been reading Embers again. Gad, I love that story; Vathara and Ellen Brand are two of my favorite fanfiction authors.
July 13, 201015 yr Author I've been getting some good work done on my Wiki lately; 48 articles in varrying stages of completion.
July 13, 201015 yr Author Ooh, and I have 19 posts - well, 18 after this one - until I get to 3,000. Ryuki, I'm catching up to you.
July 13, 201015 yr Author I've gotten a lor more work done on the latest chapter of Dual Life Refraction, too. I hope the new volume of the scanslations comes out soon, though; I'd hate to run out of material in mid-chapter.
July 13, 201015 yr Author Just took another look up at the page-count; I can't believe I've made it all the way to page 26. And this even without writing fanfiction. It's so weird to think about.
July 13, 201015 yr Author We've got nearly 700 members on the forum now; that's so cool! Still, I wonder how many of them are actually active...
July 13, 201015 yr Author That would be interesting, Ryuki m'dear. I'm already ahead of Durandal, which is kind of stange to me, since he's a part of GA and I'm not.
July 13, 201015 yr Author Well, I'm off; the family and I are heading out to Olive Garden for Kid's Day, and I need to take my shower before those two wash up. I'll be back in a few hours.
July 13, 201015 yr Author Well, I'm back; had a really great, big, meal, and now I've got that zoned-out-on-tryptophan feeling. I love that feeling.
July 14, 201015 yr oh that's nice! I think i have the same actually, I just had some lovely coffee and a big serving of onion bhaji's.
July 15, 201015 yr Author Yeah, it's a real good feeling: your stomach is nice and full, and you get to go take a nap if you want. I pretty much always take a nap after big meals like that.
July 15, 201015 yr Author My sister's friend is coming over next week for a couple days; not a bad thing, normally, but it's been hot enough this week that I spend most of the day in my underwear, or stripped down to just a shirt. It's too hot to wear pants, is basically what I'm saying.
July 16, 201015 yr Author Fanfiction.Net is stripping out puntuation from my stories; not all of it, though, happily enough, but it's been stripping apostrophies, and elipses, and all of the long dashes I had in my story. I thought it might have been just in that one story, but apparently it's been happening to all of them.
July 16, 201015 yr Author This is my second-to-last post before 3,000; the batteries in my fan are dying.
July 16, 201015 yr lol [emote=monkey]yay[/emote]congratulations!![emote=monkey]yay[/emote] so.. about that fanfiction thing.. it couldn't be to do with font could it? some characters present in one font but not in another?
July 18, 201015 yr Author I thought that myself, for a bit; but one of my stories was written in Comic Sans, and the other was in Arial, and both of them ended up getting their apostrophies stripped, so I don't think it's that. I still don't know what it is, though.
July 19, 201015 yr I thought that myself, for a bit; but one of my stories was written in Comic Sans, and the other was in Arial, and both of them ended up getting their apostrophies stripped, so I don't think it's that. no, i don't think it's to do with what font you use... the font they use may not have the required character. see... in some word processing application, the program replaces some characters with different characters. for example, for an apostrophe, on a keyboard, the apostrophe is impossible to type. the key will produce the following ' which is an inch-mark, not an apostrophe. if your word processor is changing it to an apostrophe, it is possible the website does not use a font that has an actual apostrophe.

Ah, that makes sense, then. Maybe that's it.
