Guest Kagami Arata Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Ok i figured i would contribute to this forum, my favorite Anime of all time Bleach well my second favorite, my question to you guys is have you started watching if not WHY NOT!!!! if so what ep are you on and are you watching only the Dubbed ones or are you watching the subbed or the Raws like me Quote
*Jess♥ Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I actually started to watch bleach at one point. I had it on disc but it was wmv so i had to watch through my computer. i actually hate doing that so i soon stopped.. i think i watched 1 or 2 eps. I found it very similar in concept to Shakugan No Shana and due to that, i didn't feel I would gain anything new from this. of course that is a very short sighted view and i do hope to get ahold of this on DVD at some stage. I have been told that it is somehow very similar to death note? Quote
Guest Kagami Arata Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 its very unique, i havent seen Death note yet, but i love how the charater goes through different fazes and never seems to give up Quote
durendal Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I've seen Bleach. But I stopped watching it when they strayed from the manga. The last episode I saw was episode 60 I think. I don't know if they've stopped with the fillers and resumed where the Manga left off. But I still continue to read Bleach in manga. Quote
Toku Warrior Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Well I've only seen the first 14 episodes but my friend at class said that the filler episodes stopped after Eps.110. I'm planning on just getting the bootleg HK version on DVD from Ebay. I know it's not supporting th official release of he series but it's much faster than trying to DL the wholedamn thing at this moment. Quote
*Mecha Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I've seen all current episodes of Bleach and have to say it's a fantastic Anime indeed. The Anime is currently back in-line with the Manga but they didn't do a very good job of introducing it, but it's slowly getting better again. Looking forward to the next ep Quote
S Naught Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 (edited) Like all popular mainstrain Anime these days, I'm reading the Manga for the plot, and watching the Anime for animated sequences of the characters that I know and love. Looking at how things are progressing though, it looks like it might be a short lived series. One Piece waited until the 300's to introduce everyone's new skills, DBZ always had a new super saiyajin level around the next villian. Early on with Bleach, I always thought that after Bankai, there would be a third, forth, etc form each with a theme pertaining to the character, but that's been disproven with Ishida, Ichigo, Chad, and Inoue's powerups. Well, they still could, but it's be too cheesy and an easy way out. And like all new mainstream anime, I pray it doesn't ever grow into a filler year like Naruto. durendal Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 OMG! May I know which episode particularly that went back in line with the manga? If I'm not mistaken, their opponents should be the arrancars' Espada. Quote
S Naught Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 OMG! May I know which episode particularly that went back in line with the manga? If I'm not mistaken, their opponents should be the arrancars' Espada. I think it was sometime around 10. And remember the espada aren't really gonna be introduced until a bit later. First comes SPOILERS resolution of Grand Fisher, and the triumphant return of Rukia. Too bad it won't really feel all that great anymore, as she came back in the filler ep. Oh yeah, pretty much all weak characters get a powerup Quote
Toku Warrior Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Episode 110 went back on track with the manga. Quote
durendal Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Episode 110 went back on track with the manga. Thanks man! I think I'll go watch this on youtube. Saves me the bandwidth and time. I just hope they this won't be dragging like how they did to Naruto. Quote
*Mecha Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 As I said in my previous topic, Bleach is slow to start (like Naruto) but eventually gets to a better pace (unlike Naruto). Overall, it's not a bad start but it could have been way more effective if they'd left out the crap about the Bounto from the previous filler arc. Quote
durendal Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Has anybody noticed how majority of the names in bleach are referenced from Spanish (or Mexican)? I'm not so sure about the anime, but the Manga has full of Mexican names in the title chapters. You know, Hueco Mundo, Espada, etc. Heck, even Chad has a strong hint of being Mexican. Quote

Actually..that's probably Kubo Tite's way of sounding foreign and exotic. Like you know back in the 90's, pretty much all Anime started including really bad engrish in the names of things to sound cool? (well...in 2000 they had Aile Strike Gundam). English has been overused, so I guess he opted for spanish. Quote
Guest Beoss Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 I started watching Bleach in 2006. It's my favorite Anime for the moment with guyver. For me, I watch the Anime and read the Manga from the Shonen Jump every week, and I'm very anxious the day of the new chapter. Quote
Guest Trickle Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 As I said in my previous topic, Bleach is slow to start (like Naruto) but eventually gets to a better pace (unlike Naruto).Overall, it's not a bad start but it could have been way more effective if they'd left out the crap about the Bounto from the previous filler arc. Looks like the fillers are there to stay. I gave up on the Anime with the recent fillers and doubt I'll look back. Even the Manga seems to be lacking now. Quote
Guest 14thAlmsgiven Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 I began watching bleach in 2004 I think thats when it first aired. I saw many previews for it in Naruto episodes, and vaguely heard of it in the weekly jumps. Watching the intro I was confused to what the show was actually about. After the first episode I wasent very impressed, but still intrested. The first 15 episodes really werent impressing me, but for some reason I stuck around to see if the show got somewhere. And finally with episode 16 I was granted a great Anime that I've come to watch to the present, as Iam up to the current Manga (which is amazing). Quote
Guest iceman127 Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 Bleach is very nice but now they are back into fillers again T_T i hate that lol~ Quote
durendal Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 After watching the continuation of the Anime from the manga, I think I'll stop watching for a while. I can't believe they put fillers halfway the story arc. Please let me now when they stopped doing fillers. If this really don't get better, I might end up not watching bleach at all much like how the animators ruined Naruto Shippuden for me. Already too dragging on the start of the series. Quote
Guest slopster Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 I hate that, the fillers are not even tolerable(like Naruto's year worth of fillers....) I am getting tired of Bleach and Naruto's Manga myself, I hope they can pick them both up before i lose complete interest in the anime's :/ Quote
Guest spencer Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Out of curiosity, would you guys actual recomend picking up the Bleach Manga? I've almost done it a couple of times, but wasn't sure how it is. I've only seen a few episodes of the Anime on Adult Swim, and would rather read first before watching. Quote
Guest Guyver Maximum Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 The Bleach Manga is actually a very good read, I am more of a Naruto man myself but Bleach is a very VERY close second. The action in it isn't the best or most thought provoking but it is still very entertaining and the characters are very easy to attach yourselves to. Quote
durendal Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 If you read the Bleach Manga, you might not want to watch the Anime anymore. Mainly because of how the producers of the show carry the story, inserting fillers where its not wanted. All the good stuff is in the manga. Quote
Guest spencer Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Well, I have stopped. So, read manga... watch Anime later. That's I usual do things anyways. Books ---> movies / Manga ---> anime. Quote
Guest Trickle Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Out of curiosity, would you guys actual recomend picking up the Bleach Manga? It depends. If you knew which Anime episodes to skip, the Anime would be better. And I'm not just talking about the fillers here. The Manga used to be good. But that was back in a time where it felt new and you had high hopes for the future and where it could go. Now I'm just board of the stupid power ups from absolutely no where and that no one ever EVER dies. Quote
