Ok lets be frank here. Lately real life has being a bit of a kicker.

My house has gone through huge changes and basically I can't remember a weekend when I didn't spend at least one of the days either working for someone else or needing to do work like painting walls, moving kit around and getting my attic converted. Or last Sunday spending 8 hours fighting with my nephews laptop trying to get his hard drive back to life as the silly bastard doesn't understand the term backup! Basically time for the site has being non existent. Things are finally though getting together the way I want.

This weekend marks an important change, 1and1 will no longer be hosting the website and I need to movie the site to save money.

It's re-awakened my interest in a) updating the site and finishing off the new template for WG-Fic's side of the site. b) changing and redesigning Stars Guyver Page into something that supports this fiction better and explains whats what in the official Guyver world and finally c) getting back to fic writing.

In regards to c)... the current Guyver official storyline kinda floored me. Alkanphel (as we spell his name thanks to Viz!) is sat on the floor of a house playing computer games with the Sagawa kids.... It's not an event I can ever imagine happening. So while I have changed things around in my story to explain the world of the Warrior Guyver and why things are different in this fan-fic to the official story basically there is something important to understand about the current main "villain" in my story line. Now this won't stop me writing and continuing my story, basically if anything it's part of the reason I'm back as Guyver is suddenly interesting again. This though has to come secondary to getting the website working properly again. So as long as my family can stop breaking their computers.... we should see the site getting more updates over time until it's properly fully functional. Sorry for those of you though that still follow the story and want to see more of it.

Believe you me, Sully, I can definitely understand RL keeping you busy. I've "graduated" from being a cashier at my workplace to being on the customer service desk (from starting this job last July to now, almost a year later), and that's been netting me more hours (and a little more money as well), so I can sympathize.

While I haven't been keeping up so much with the official storyline and all (and I really ought to), I've been trying to focus more on writing Gabe -- enough to where I'm actually in the midst of making a couple of minor edits to what I've written of Preparations so far. For instance, personality-wise it doesn't make a lot of sense for Gabe to choose to learn one of the most brutal martial arts (Krav Maga, which for those interested is taught to the Israeli Defense Force, and for video game trivia, is supposed to be what Sam Fisher is trained in for the Splinter Cell series) for self-defense, so I'm changing that up to something that's more in line philosophically with Gabe's beliefs. I've also decided to shy away from bringing in Mizki from Mutronics like I'd originally intended, though I do intent to keep Col. Castle around -- I have plans for him. But once my minor editing is done, I can email Preparations (Parts I and II) to Sully, and get back to chiseling my way through my writer's block in Part III; once I get that done, I can move towards Gabe leading up to Cori's rescue, and then go from there.

...wow, that was longer than I'd intended, but I did want to take the opportunity to update folks on what was going on with Gabe as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you guys have been really busy alot. I hope that every settles down for you Sully, I really enjoyed the rewrites to the time war saga and I also hope every thing is good with everyone else here too. I'm will most likely be graduating from my associate's degree in a two weeks myself. I'd love to show off some of the stuff that I've been working on too.... except the best I could do is screen shot *sigh*. Next Up, bachelor time!

What is interesting, is that in the last 2 weeks... With some variances on who was online, we've had probably a good 15-16 hours in Skype chatting...

What about you ask?

No Comment

Heh... Been a while since I could do that...

Curse you, Matt!

Seriously, I need to get myself a headset and set up Skype so I can chat with all of you, just so I can make certain I don't step on anybody's toes while trying to fit Gabe into things for the lead-up to Story 10, but if nothing else, I have some time to try and work on that.

Sully you should never have to worry about explaining your time away from the site. Its been said before and will be said again I'm sure but real life always comes first. This site is great but it is still something we all do for free. On a side note while I haven't been able to put a story up for Yuri yet belive it is out there in the wings being added to little by little. I have a new respect for everything you guys have done here since I now can see how easy it is not. Best of luck with everything and you will get to it when you get to it.

Good to see some progress on the site. Though I thought the Gigantic was supposed to have 1,000 strength? That he was supposed to be still more powerful than a Warrior Guyver just without the stamina?

Welcome back :)

He is, though a lot of things on the site are in flux info wise.

Hopefully when James gets some more time we'll have more data file corrections to go up.

The data file uploaded was a early draft, but keep in mind that while the Gigantic is more powerful that like a Zoalord not all the abilities are equivalent... While there is still a fair bit of guess estimation going on because there are still plenty of details the official data file still doesn't cover and physical strength is one of those details.

What the official Data file does cover is that the the Giga Smashers are 100x, the 12 power amp crystals amplify the unit's gravitational energy through the boost dimension for up to a 20x increase in raw power (applies to things like the Gravity Knuckle Punch (aka power punch), etc), main head beam orb is 5x and the two side orbs are 1x each, swords extend to 3 meters or can whip out for a larger radius range...

So the only thing we really have to draw upon for physical strength is what has been observed in the manga and the energy output of the head beam orbs, since they represent the approximate energy level contained within the physical body and essentially serves as a heat vent with a weaponized focused discharge... Meaning the Gigantic is probably around 5x-7x in strength but can perform 20x attacks and 100x ultimate attack with the Giga Smashers.

This compares to the WG with 4x strength and with only a few exceptions (more powerful head beam, faster regeneration, more adaptive, harder to destroy, physically faster and more agile) the Gigantic is more powerful in just about every other way...
