Two things I've been wondering about lately.

1.) How is the appearnace of a Guyver determined, exactly? Is it personality, age, strength, or will of the host that determines the design of the armor and it's weapons? Like how many blades they have and which direction they aim?

2.) My second question is it possible for a standard unit to teleport? Not over long distances mind you, but in a small area. Say they were outnumbered, but could easily teleport around their enemies, laying in sneak attacks. Could this be possible without the use of an upgrade of some kind?

1) Officially not stated, but I'd would say it's a combination of host DNA and personality.

2) No, only the Gigantic has ever demonstrated this ability in the Manga... So only enhanced units would be capable of teleporting.

1.) What if the personality of the host changed? Say Sho did a 180 and went totally dark, siding with Chronos, killing his friends, exc. would he look different?

2.) Well there blows an idea away. lol. What kind of upgrade, minus a gigantic upgrade or Matrix, would it take for a standard Guyver to be able to teleport?

The Gigantic can be extruded as an example of some of those personality changes, but Sho would probably have to re-bond to the unit to change it.

1) Matrix - if not upgrading the unit at least in host's possession

2) Possibly a Power Sword that enhances the unit and gives it access to hyperspace.

3) The Ark (if the guyver happens to be part of chronos that is)

4) Host processed into a proto zoalord

5) Perhaps one of those ancient stones that Zarfel found...perhaps one can grant a person teleportation capabilities

6) Removing the unit and going for a new one... :P

Aside from what Juggernaught said, the Creators could capture this standard Guyver and upgrade the unit.

Just trowing in a wildcard here. Given that a rewrite is in process. What Unit and host in the fan-fiction do you think would be the most powerful (excluding a Matrix enchanced unit that can in theory modify the host)? Importanly why?

I'm quoting McAvoy for a reason..... If you guys have being following posts I'd made recently the answer might surprise you.

I would have to say Sho ...why? Well it is his will power that drives him to beat even the most incredible odds. He doesn't lust for power but he puts everything on the line to protect those he loves so he demands the most out of his unit even if it wasn't originally designed to do so.

For example, Jason doesn't rely on himself for power, he depends 90% on the power that just his unit enhanced with the matrix and Dreadnought armor can give him without making him godlike. So in some ways he has subconsciously put a power limiter on himself. Sho has no such restraints because he already is as close to humanity as possible and therefore cannot be corrupted by the power he instead sees more power as a means to guarantee his friends remain safe. I'm pretty sure if he was in Jason's shoes this war with Chronos, the Grakkens and possibly even the Creators if they come knocking would be over because he is not afraid to do what is necessary to end the conflict.

I guess you could say in some ways his will power is even too much for his normal unit to handle, the exceed is a manifestation of this inner power and even with the power of the exceed he has to hold back.

Course i could be totally off track with the reasoning but that's my idea anyway. Besides i think Sean would deserve such an upgrade 8)

I would have to think about it. But my guess is either Sho or Jason.

Part of me would have to say Sho as well, for much the same reasons Juggernought said. Sho's been driven to push the limits time and again to be something more. Which brings up an interesting point -- how far can someone push their connection to their respective Guyver unit through sheer will alone?

Next contender would probably be Guyver XT - probably longest living guyver like being to exist, loads of experience and has seen and experienced things most couldn't even imagine. Despite being severely damaged and going through changes in his conversion from plasmoid to human he still fought and held off Crystallite.

And probably Primitive Guyver would be the next contender. He's millions of years old, longest living human guyver, unique symbiosis to his unit, he's got the experience and definitely got infinite patience with having all those years to plan whatever he is planning for the modern era. His will has to be strong to survive living that long watching everything change, die and grow old while he just remains the same.

Modern humans weren't around til 200,000 years ago and didn't show modern behaviors until 50,000 years ago. So Primitive Guyver is gonna have to have his datafile tweaked...

Actually closer to around 250,000 years ago but this is only because we can't find bones any older and isn't absolute. We're also not sure when the earliest predecessors originally showed up yet, even turns out there were another previously unknown branch besides Neanderthals that we shared the Earth with for a bit but as far as the fic goes we originally had the creators leaving millions of years ago because of the timing of the last major ice age and how long continental drift actually takes. Making the assumption many humans took refuge with Archanphel during the ice age and later disasters preventing development until modern times.

It was only after the Manga was more accurately translated to show the creators left much closer to modern times that it had to be updated. Even though this means Silha island forming due to continental drift no longer makes sense but we can't expect everything in a made up world to make sense...

About human behavior though, biologically we haven't changed much from our origins but technology and culture took awhile to develop. However we don't know how much we may have lost or forgotten during all that time and the human race was nearly wiped out about 75,000 years ago when the world population dropped to below 10,000... It's just about 50,000 years ago that we have any signs of humans repopulating the world and known history is less than 10,000 years and even far less for any detailed record that doesn't read like a myth or legend.

So lots of room for ancient cultures that could have been wiped out and left no discernible traces and Primitive Guyver can still be well over 10,000 years old.

Yeah the whole fossil record for the evolution of the human race is still incomplete and may never will be. Even we have been on Earth for 250,000 years, you would have to think why or how it took us that long to develop civilization in the last 10,000 years. It may be possible that like zeo has said that there was an early civilization much earlier than recorded but was wiped out by some natural disaster.

Also Guyver XT predates even Guyver 0, so it's safe to assume that Guyver XT has more experience than even Primtive Guyver. He also has a much more advanced than a standard unit.
