guyverfanatic Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 That's an insane amount of detail. Quote
*zeo Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 They're apparently going to sell all three armors from the movie, not cheap though but you should see them for sale by the end of the Year. Some sites already have them for pre-order. . . This last one is already sold out, even though it is only available for pre-order An update to the "Ultrasound to give feel to games" news tidbit I gave earlier. 3D Force Field Opens Door for Holodeck, Virtual Touchable Leia Anyway, who got their IRONMAN Movie collection? guyverfanatic Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I only bought the single disc dvd because I didn't have much money. Quote
*zeo Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 I wouldn't worry too much, by the time the 2nd movie comes out they might have even more insane collectable available. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I wouldn't worry too much, by the time the 2nd movie comes out they might have even more insane collectable available. I think Marvel Studios should add a War Machine movie to the slate of movies they are making! Hopefully we get to see War Machine in Iron Man 2. Quote

guyverfanatic Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I actually read this only a little bit ago. I can't wait to see how much dough Marvel brought in from the Blu-Ray sales. Quote

*zeo Posted October 15, 2008 Author Posted October 15, 2008 Looks like someone talked himself out of the sequel Terrence Howard's War Machine Replaced By Don Cheadle Quote
guyverfanatic Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 He probably got too greedy. I thought Terence Howard was perfect for the role of War Machine. I hope Don Cheadle will be great replacement ala The Dark Knight. Quote
*zeo Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 Update... Was Howard Replaced On Iron Man 2 For More Than Just Money? Looks like they may have talked him out of the role without him saying a thing. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Surprisingly he made more than the main star, Robert Downey Jr. No wonder they let him go! Quote
Guyver_Astray Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 Though Terrance Howard did a good job, in my oppinion, Michael Jai White seems to fit the comic book character a lot more. He's got the look, the build, and I could see Warmachine having his voice. Quote
*zeo Posted December 27, 2008 Author Posted December 27, 2008 True but he's a lousy actor, if only we could put Don Cheadle's brain into Michael Jai White's body Though considering War Machine is a Cyborg these days that he's definitely got the costume experience down Quote
Juggernought Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Michael Jai White is also making another spawn movie i believe.... Quote
*zeo Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 These are the end times. . . Hope they do a better job than the first one. Edit: Hmm, IMDB only mentions the Animated Series completed 2008. Wonder if it's a continuation of the last one or a redo? http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0925227/ Quote
Juggernought Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 Could be a redo, but in the teaser trailer it said they awakened him so perhaps its a continuation after a certain amount of time has passed. Quote
*zeo Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 Mickey Rourke Will Do Power Armor Wrestling In Iron Man 2 Quote
Juggernought Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 So who is all the villains going to be in Ironman 2 as well as newly introduced characters...i know there is War Machine and then rumors about the Crimson Dynamo...i just hope they don't try to introduce too many 'new' on screen characters like they did in Spiderman 3 without much back story which just distracts from the storyline and confuses people. Quote
*zeo Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 No way of knowing for sure yet, they won't finalize the story until they are set to start filming and even then it depends how secretive they will be if we will know anything before the movie comes out April 2010. But from the rumor mills it appears the movie will be a running setup for the Avengers, Nick Fury will be calling upon Stark to help handle an international terrorist organization run by the Mandarin, who will have the alien Dragon Fin Fang Foom at his beck and call. The Crimson Dynamo will basically be a corrupt version of Tony, so he'll probably be revealed to be working for the Mandarin and thus be the main villain until the final battle, or a mix. War Machine will probably be introduced to help Tony out and they say Thor will show up too, considering they are releasing a Thor movie about the same time that this is likely, especially with the built up towards the Avengers movie. The only question I have is if they will be going with the Present War Machine (who's a Cyborg) or the original. I think they will lean towards the new considering it would be rather difficult to power the armor without an Arc Reactor embedded in his chest like Stark has. . . Quote
Aranor Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I think if they go with the new style war machine it would eat up to much time. You basiclly have a robocop scenario. Good guy gets hurt/dead, is recreated into man machine mix and now all attention is on that character. Would be hard putting that in the background while running you current story. Not to mention Rhody didn't seem to have that much dedication to stark in the first movie yet. As for powering the second armor, we don't know how much time Tony put into creating the third arc. (Counting the big one as the first) For all we know he could have thrown it together like he did the first one only with better or cleaner materials to get the second one out of his body. So the possiblity for him to put more effort into it and make it smaller, or even use multiple lesser powered smaller versions is there. And the power source for the second armor does not ned to be in the chest. Not unless the wearer is suffering from a similar heart problem as he. Quote
Juggernought Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 It probably started out in that position due to the heart problem but i think after the idea for the uni-beam came in, that feature on all stark made armors became pretty much a standard to go by. Quote
Aranor Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 True but that does not mean the power source needs to be as deep for the other units as it does for Tony. We never see him use the unibeam without the armor. On the other hand we don't know he can't. But look at the repulsors in the boots and gauntlets. The room between outer edge of repulsor and outer edge of palm is perhaps less than what war machine would have with a human host not having an arc in their chest. So the device to produce the blast need not be that thick. Only to have its power routed from somewhere. Which is why I suggest multiple smaller units. Quote
