Juggernought Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 A force field all guyvers produce upon activation. Its an automatic reaction and is a barrier that forms when they exit the boost dimension into this dimension. I guess one purpose could be an added defense, for example time and time again sho is confronted by zoanoids and activating the guyver got him out of being tied up or forced up against the wall. In the fanfic its function has been increased to offense as well and also the ability to be activated at will. Quote
*zeo Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 Yes and no, the Guyver Blast Field is a byproduct of the Unit transitioning between the boost dimension and normal space around the host. Essentially the unit creates a wormhole around the host and this results in the blast field, kinda like the eruption distortion seen on the TV series Stargate each time the gate is opened. So it's essentially a spatial warping dimensional barrier that protects the host while the unit transitions from the boost dimension to normal space and bonds to the host. This shows the extent of the Creator's hyper space technology. So even a simple unit could access the boost dimension well enough to store itself when not in use. The Gigantic takes it to the next level and allows the use of the transition to actually travel through the boost dimension for FTL travel. Okay, next question... What are the differences from a Guyver to a Gigantic? Quote
McAvoy Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Since no one is answering the question I'll answer it. Basics first, the Gigantic bonds with the host unit becoming roughly 3 meters taller and about 300 lbs as well as proportional increase size. Physical strength is unclear but it is presumed to be either 5x or 20x depending on how you look at it. The 20x figure is from the 20x power increase resulted from the power amp crystal. Alot of people mistaken power for strength. 5x comes from the main head laser strength which is also 5x. 1x head laser is added on either side of the control medal and seems to be fired together. The mega smasher is upgraded with the additional gravity control orbs that are located right on the smasher cell. It increases the power to 100x and the Gigantic can only fire this once, maybe twice. Gigantic Dark could not fire the Giga Smashers after he took the Gigantic off of Guyver 1 who was battling Purg'Stall. He didn't have enough energy to fire one. The Gigantic also adds two additional gravity control orbs and along with the Power Amps amplify the gravitational energies of the unit. Like wise the massive Pressure Cannon that Gigantic has been shown able to fire not only expands but is far more powerful than your garden variety pressure cannon. By the looks of it, the mega pressure cannon rivals the Guyver's mega smasher but obviously has much better control over it. It hasn's been stated on how powerful the sonic emitters are over the host unit's, it is possible that the single orb may not be that much more powerful but the Gigantic does add two orbs for Gigantic Guyver and three for Gigantic Dark. These additional orbs are hidden under flaps on the chin. They are powerful enough to not only damage Imakarum but also can severely damage some sort of tower out in the distance. The hyper sensors of the Gigantic adds two additional hyper sensory orbs and the spike is extended. Gigantic Guyver has the orbs in the spike just like his Guyver 1 form. Guyver has two such orbs and four such orbs as Gigantic Guyver. My theory for what it is, is that they're part of the sensory perception for Sho. Guyver 3 has two or three vibrational blades and Guyver 1 may have enhanced hyper sensory perception. I have to go, so i'll leave the specifics to others. Quote
*zeo Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Blink... blink .... where did everybody go? Quote
Juggernought Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 For me...its flight and class final exams so schedule pretty tight...however my overall view of the Gigantic is that it gives the user the potential power to overcome most of the enemies it is going to face, namely Alkanphel since Sho wanted the power to destroy him. The Gigantic allows for the user to readily access more power from the boost dimension as well as being able to gather and focus gravitational power to a higher degree with more flexibility and to different effects. *zeo Posted April 24, 2008 Author Posted April 24, 2008 Basics first, the Gigantic bonds with the host unit becoming roughly 3 meters taller 3 feet, not 3 meters... The Gigantic structure is partly a creation of the infused energy it contains. Similar to the standard Unit which also infuses energy into its structure and is one of the reasons why the armor is so durable. So when firing the Giga Smashers it drains so much energy that the structure of the Gigantic collapses like a deflated balloon. So the Gigantic falls off and returns to the Boost Dimension to recharge. However this may have been a limitation imposed by Sho. It remains to be seen if this limitation is still in effect now that Sho has unlocked the true power of the Gigantic and can now mainline energy from the boost dimension. The Exceed for example could block a mega smasher class weapon like Khan's Purgatorium with just one hand, without resorting to raising a shield. The hyper sensors of the Gigantic adds two additional hyper sensory orbs Three actually, the third is right smack in the back of the head, giving the Gigantic a total of 5 Hyper Sensory Orbs. Possible, it could also be part of the head beam system. The lower set of orbs is larger than the upper pair, just like the main head beam orb is larger than the two normal beam orbs on either side. Could be they are the prefire chambers before the beam is fired through the head beam orbs. We still don't know whether or not G3 has them or not, his antenna has more armor covering his head. On the other hand they could just be structural support, since G1 has less armor around the Antenna area it could be simply sticking out. The swords can also extend to a length of nearly 3 meters, or about equal to the height of the Gigantic. Or the swords can be fired off from their non-active lengths like vibrational harpoons, with the base of the sword extending like a tendril like whip. Exact range is unknown but they can easily be used to slice a wide area of at least 30 feet or more. Quote
Aranor Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Perhaps this has been aswered but where is the energy syphoning portion of the HSL contained? Is it within the cm? Some other section of the armor? A neuroligicl type system? Quote
McAvoy Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I am assuming you are talking about the Warrior Guyvers since the HSLs are part of the fan fiction not the actual manga. The whole system is in the control medal. Where exactly, I have not a clue. But also, keep in mind the HSL si also part of the host's DNA which explains why even without the armor active, the hosts do not need to eat. Quote
Aranor Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Yeah thats what I was shooting for. So it originates in the cm and is directed throughout the unit/body by means of a neural network of sorts? Quote
