TheGuyversWill Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Not sure if Z was made into a manga Gt for sure wasn't and since SSJ 4 is GT... You're right. Quote
Juggernought Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Hulk would be one hard person to keep down....he even took a direct punch from Onslaught and lived to get pissed about it another day..granted he broke many bones in his body being hurled across the country...and he does get stronger the angrier he gets, he has yet to reach the limits of his power...Still dreadnought does have more weaponry so i'd think he would win. TheGuyversWill Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Do you think the Hulk could take a mega smasher? How many pressure cannons? I mean what is his threshold? I mean, do you think if someone fired a mega smasher at him that some form of him would remain and heal instantly? Or would it finish him off where he stood? Quote
Juggernought Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Hulk has yet to face anything along the lines of guyver weaponry. But if some hyper zoanoids can with stand a standard pressure cannon attack; for example Neo-Zektole which takes triple pressure cannon attacks to puncture the armor. Hulk could be near or even possess greater strength and durability than this character. So far he has withstood all enemies so far and lived to tell about it. His strength is limited only to his rage...i don't know how pissed he can get because there is always something in the end that stops him from pushing over the edge. Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Sort of backtracking, but though magic can be given as a term to a significantly advanced technology, magic can also be like a miracle, or even "true magic". Not like the hocus pocus stage magicians like Houdini pull, but magic. Things like what Merlin was famous for doing, or an elemental. But, if you could find a way to combine them so they would work in tandem, they would be much more powerful, and much more destructive in terms of weapons. Think, a machine gun that never ran out of ammo, an airplane that didn't require aviation fuel. Or even a living armor. But, also, Dreadnaught is powerful because he has to be. The world as it stands now in the WG universe, requires everyone to constantly adapt, to continuously change, and better themselves. It is an arms race, so to speak. A Cold War. If Jason hadn't upgraded then when facing a Zoalord, or a massive army of Zoanoids, he might not have survived the encounter, and at a later battle where his power or arrival was extremely pivotal or critical, then that battle would have been lost, and the effects keep cascading from there on. It would be comparable to say Japan not having bombed Pearl Harbor. It's not a great analogy, but it'll work. If the US hadn't entered WWII, then perhaps D-Day wouldn't have happened, or it would have failed spectacularly. France and Russia would have completely fallen to Hitler. Britain wouldn't have held out much longer with mainland Europe under the hand of Hitler. Italy would have then gone towards the African continent and Hitler would have developed the atomic bomb. This is only on the European front. On the Pacific side, every idland other than Hawaii, would have fallen, and then it too would have fallen under the Japanese military. By the time the US would have entered the war, maybe late 1943, early 1944, it would have been too late, and with fighting on both Eastern and Western Coastlines, America would have been divided neatly between Hitler and the Japanese Empire. Jason not having been enhanced, would be similar. The ACTF would have been in a much more desperate spot than they were before the rewrite had begun to take place. You also can't simply look at it in terms of power either. Experience, stamina, durability of the weapons, and the maintence of the weapons also place a role. Oh, and Sun Tzu's Art of War also would be handy right here too. Changing the effect or impact of one person can have cascading effects, that might in the end, cause an entirely different reality to exist. Another example of cascading effects --> the Treaty of Versailles. It was in effect the final catalyst for the horror we know as World War II. During the 1930's, though no one would have known it right after the end of the First World War, a world wide depression was taking place, not just in the US, but all over. If Wilson's Fourteen Points had had more of an impact, then perhaps Hitler wouldn't have risen as far as he did. That in turn would lead the Second World War not happening as it did percisely. I'm not deluded that it wouldn't have eventually happened, but there would be far more effects than even I care to think about. The effects of one person's abilities can affect an entire chain of events, and perhaps, if the chain is deep and long enough, then the entire fate of the would could be balanced on just one act, or just one word, or one person. It doesn't take much to alter history drastically. It's part of why in shows like Star Trek, you have things like the Prime Directive of not influencing the past, or rules of not interferring with the past. It's not whether he's too high to use, but whether he is to high to everyone in the story. We are simple observers. There is very little for us to influence as the observer. Think about it this way: which would you rather have, a very powerful Jason, or Chronos ruling the world? Quote
*zeo Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Well, let's see. . . Against the Hulk Dreadnought would win so long as he doesn't let the Hulk get too angry or close. The Hulk is the proverbial unstoppable force, if mad enough nothing could stop him and Dreadnought's power has a limit so the Hulk could win in a prolonged fight. But all Dread has to do is teleport him into deep space and the Hulk would be dead since as powerful he is, he's still human and needs to breath. Alternatively Dread can teleport along with the Hulk and use the Matrix Bomb to vaporize him. The Hulk isn't really invulnerable, he just heals lightning fast. Bullets for example don't really bounce off him. What happens is his cells regenerate so fast that bullets are pushed away as fast as they hit. So in terms of surviving a Mega Smasher, it depends if the blast can vaporize him faster than he can regenerate, which is also linked to his anger so the madder he is the faster he regenerates. Officially the Hulk has been known to withstand small nukes, though he really is only immune to Gamma Bombs since he can direct absorb their energy. So he can survive a Mega Smash, though a prolonged beam like a WG can produce can do more damage and may push his limits. Ms Marvel would never stand a chance against Dreadnought, her invulnerability and strength only makes her physically only slightly more powerful than a normal Guyver. Though Jason would hesitate before fighting her. So she could get in a few lucky punches. Quasar may have the cosmic power bands but Dread's powers trumps his and the Guy should be helpless without the bands. Wonder Woman though could be a problem, she's not the most powerful character in DC but she's no push over, which means she should be physically stronger than Dreadnought, and her access to magical weapons could be a problem. Not to mention Jason wouldn't like fighting a woman, especially one that doesn't look like a threat until after she demonstrates her superhuman strength. But unless she get's lucky and damages his CM she will lose too since she's not invulnerable and Dreadnought could just use lightning to stun her into unconsciousness from a distance. Thonos is very calculating and though perfectly willing to fight he may wait to find out the CM vulnerability first but he himself does not have the power to defeat Dreadnought so he will need to access something that could, which he would in time but if Dread just shows up and fights him then Dread would win. Iron Man - Tony Stake is a genius and given time he could figure out the CM but doesn't have the technology to counter the Matrix or Dreadnought's level of powerso he would lose, though given a couple years of R&D he might come up with something. After all he already has a counter Hulk armor. Hyperion is basically an Eternal so he draws his power from cosmic energy and is basically a Superman like character. So that would basically turn out like a Superman battle except Hyperion can't supercharge himself. Given time Dreadnought could defeat him but Hyperion is powerful enough to defeat Dreadnought if Jason isn't careful. Doctor Doom Isn't powerful enough to take on Dreadnought, not even the movie version. But he does deal with Magic and if he gets his hands on some form of cosmic power like the cosmic cubes or the Beyonder power then he could defeat Dreadnought but as he is now Dread would easily defeat him. Course like Ironman, Doom is a genius so could figure something out given time. Super Saiyan 4 Goku Would Obliterate Dreadnought. The power to destroy planets trumps the power of the Entire roster of WG characters combined. The only thing is Goku is not a killer if he can help it and would just want to fight Dreadnought but once he finds that he doesn't pose much of a threat he will leave him alone. The only way Dread could win would be if he A) Catches Goku off guard or B) Figures out how to block Chi energy and prevent Goku from powering up in the first place. Though I don't know if SSJ4 still need to breath air or not but Goku has instant transport so just teleporting him into space wouldn't work and instant transport is not something Dread could block. TheGuyversWill Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Quasar posesses the immensely powerful Quantum Bands, which allow him to manipulate and control all forms of energy. He can draw from an almost limitless supply of energy from an alternate dimension he has dubbed the "Quantum Zone". He can use this energy as blasts of concussive force, or to create solid energy shapes. He can also fly by way of these bands, and is capable of interstellar travel, as well as life support from the bands, which kept him alive for the 4 year flight to Uranus he made. The bands can open up dimensional gates, which Quasar calls "Quantum Jumps" between vast distances. He was able to travel the same distance that had taken him 4 years in 15 seconds using this ability. The bands cannot be removed from Quasar's wrists, even upon dismemberment. Only completely destroying his body can allow someone to take the bands. The bands are able to analyze any energy they can absorb, and telepathically transmit the information to Quasar. The bands protect Quasar from mental attacks as well. I think Quasar might be a little more than you give him Credit for. Captain Marvel had the Nega Bands right? Oh man spacing it for sure. Let's keep this rolling! Someone else give their opinions! What happened to Twilight? Quote
