TheGuyversWill Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 Just got my official copy of the new Guyver Anime, parts 1 and 2, meaning episode 1-26 with English and Chinese subs. I haven’t watched all of it as of yet, pretty much just episode 26. I'll check out more today. The animation is amazing, and alk was beautiful when he showed up... Okay so that was more like episode 25. I love how they are dealing with this series. Are they going to make more of them? I really hope so. PS: I love getting mail from hong kong Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 We have yet to hear from anyone if the company will produce more episodes but I certainly hope they do. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 It took 6 months between volumes 3 & 4 for the contract to be renewed. I expect the same amount of waiting between volumes 8 & 9. Just have patience folks. Have faith in Chuang Yi! Quote

PS: I love getting mail from hong kong You do know thats not a offical releease but a bootleg that will have an awful translation to it as well. Really do wish people would wait for the officla release and not buy bootlegs. Since buying a bootleg means no money going towards guyver, which means for every bootleg you are reducing the chance of a second season Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Its not a bootleg. Its the real deal. http://i1.ebayimg.com/03/i/06/f3/ab/12_1.JPG this is a picture of the cases. If it is a bootleg, its the best damn bootleg I have seen in all my days. It even came factory sealed! And the translation isnt that bad to tell you the truth. Quote

It is a bootleg as the vast majority of anime from Hong Kong from are bootlegs. Don't waste your money on them. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 (edited) Just because its from Hong Kong doesnt mean its a fake. I recieved other items from the same seller. One of them was the Bio Fighter Collection: Guyver I. That was factory sealed as well. If it was a fake, it was a very well done one. Edited May 10, 2006 by Guest Quote

Anime Bootleg FAQ Quote
xtro guyver Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Look the only country selling an offfical release of the new TV series is japan, and the art work for these boxes is photo shoped manga images, not art work from the TV series. The series will only turn up officaly in other countires once they have finished releasing it in japan Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 It is photoshoped images from the manga. And it is originally from Japan. Just the selling ( who sells tons and tons of Guyver stuff ) is out of hong kong. Quote
*zeo Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Well the problem is the Japanese release is still only volume 1 and it looks like this, http://www.guyver.jp/dvd.html And they are required by law to state the region settings. So it looks like you got the Hong Kong special Sorry Will but even if its a copy Hong Kong is the best Bootlegger capital of the world, so at least you can watch a good copy until the real official version is released. Unlike with tapes a DVD copy can be identical to the original after all. So you still got a good copy, just not the official relase of it. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Bastards! Oh well... I can always buy the official release when it comes out. Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Aw man, that's an awesome DVD cover! I think it has every Zoanoid on it, up to a certain point. Quote

Aside from the many anime resellers there are Amazon and ebay. If you want something more local, then check the Forbidden Planet comic shop. Quote

tenorbass05 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 What does everyone think of the music in the show so far? I feel that it's a tad weak compared to Les Claypool III's stuff in the origional. Just not enough. Quote
largo Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Does anybody know what ep gigantic guyver appears? Quote
*zeo Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 In the last episode of first season of the series. And I agree about the music. Quote
Guest Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 Never realy had enough time to sit down and *buy* the new series, but, I was planning it on it. I got around to it this friday and finished *Recieving it by mail* saturday around 12ish. I have to say...It was well worth the wait!!! Episode 26 was frigen awesome. The Giganitc Unit was CRAZY! Now I must get around re-reading the manga. I can honestly say I'm hooked again. Hell, I may even RP again. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Grant rocks. Grant, check out http://www.warriorguyver.com/gsf/datafiles/0.htm You might like it, if you don't tell me what to change and it shall be done. Good to see you're back in the Guyver way. If you want to see more Guyver Anime's made, buy the stuff. It's really good, and if it makes a lot of money, then they'll make more. We don't like to talk about ... acquiring the product through acts of piracy ... on here. So excuse the edit, but its imperative people buy this stuff. I want to see Gigantic Dark animated, if you know what I mean. Hit me up on messenger sometime man! God_Guyver as always. Oh yeah and if you have any other old DF's laying around, hit me up on those too, I'd love to publish them! I love updates. Quote
