Matt Bellamy Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 The topic to discuss new episodes of the new Guyver Anime- Guyver: The Bio-Boosted Armor. Please keep all current discussion in this thread. If you have a specific question regarding an older epiosde, or the series in general, please make your own topic, unless a topic for that episode already exists. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 With episode 14, I think it was the best episode so far. It showed some kick ass fights and in a couple of days (this Saturday) we finally get to see Guyot fight Guyver III and Murakami! Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 So we got to see Enzyme II? What does it sound like? Whenever I read the comic I picture them making a screeching or hissing. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Of course we got to see Enzyme II! THe fight between Murakami and 3 Enzyme II's was badass. Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Awesome, I no longer have any worries about not getting a good dosage of action with this episode. But c'mon what did they sound like? I know this is unusual but I'm rather interesed in what kind of sound they make in this verison. Guyot. Oh boy that's scary stuff. May I ask you what you think of the pace of this series? It looks like it goes. Book 1: Episodes 1-8 Book 2: 9-10 Book 3: 11-13/14? ( I've only seen the previews for these eps) I'm a little disapointed that the Bio Boosted Creature didn't appear again and that was one issue, they reduced/mixed the three issue fight of the Lost Numbers with Guyver to one episodes (reasonable) and I don't belive they did the whole "turn yourself in ploy" Oh well, book two is my least favorite but is still a good read. Warbyrd13 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 I liked seeing a bigger darker role for Guyver 2. I liked seeing Paybdime(sp) and also seeing a larger role for Zeraberus and Hyper Zeraberus. So far this animie seems to be alot darker in telling of the story and seems to have updated the material to this time frame with tech and ideals. Looking forward to seeing the Giga unit. Only heard about in the forums and reading your guys stories so be nice to see it in action. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I think the number of episodes per graphic novel shoulda been about the same (too episodes for volume 1), but on the flip side we got to see more of Guyver 2 and some zoanoids who only appeared in the novels. Can't wait to see the next episode. I wonder how will be compared to the manga... Quote

Can't wait to see the next episode. I wonder how will be compared to the manga... looks like the "reactivation" scene takes place in the cave this time, instead just outside it. I wonder if we'll get to see some schoolgirl nudity? somehow i doubt it for a 7pm airing time. I reckon we'll end with a cliff hanger, the writer spending more time justifying Sho's need for the guyver before we get the fight with Aptom II. Then again, we can always hope As for the pacing, it has been a little out of whack in comparison to the manga. Then again everything that has been needed to be said, has been said. However i do beleive the studio is trying to go for a end of volume 8 plot point for the end of the 26 episode. Nice way to cap it off i think. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Actually OLM is animating up to volume 10 of the manga. Quote
Mutronics Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Actually OLM is animating up to volume 10 of the manga. Yeah, i did here that. But i'm wondering how they are going to manage it in a 26 episode series, granted they can probably get the minakami arc done in another 6 episodes if they wanted. Not to mention that the offical website has the data up for Neo Zx-Tole... Quote
Mad_W'kar Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 I have got my hands on all the eps all the way to ep 18 but it has no subtitles so I'm missing on a lot of stuf. does any 1 know where I could get the subs from? Quote
*zeo Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Subs are available up to episode 4, just look for sub under those file names. After that you'll have to look for .srt files, which you might need a special player since that is basically a text file that can be played along with the video to provide the sub. We can't give you more information than that on the board. If anyone has more specific information for Mad_W'Kar please send it directly to him. Quote

daveblackeye152 Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 So , did anyone see the trailer for episode 16 or 18? I saw the *spoilers* Zoalords in all of there glory! Or at least in human forms. From just this brief glance I liked the looks and colors of there armors. We'll see with a closer look later. Quote

Guest Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 It looks to me that they come out on friday nights or saterday mornings. Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 *spoilers for episodes 11-13* Wow those were great and pretty much worth waiting around for. It was cool to see team five get slightly more action. Alas Thancrus still leaves us too early. A plus for this series is they try getting a bit more development from the character. Such as more scenes of Sho and his father, oh yeah and Mizuki being a bit jealous of Shizu. As well as some more background to Agito which I can't quite understand all of it. Great series. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 It looks to me that they come out on friday nights or saterday mornings. It airs in Japan at 7 PM on WOWOW. For me, it would at airing in Japan at 2 AM Saturday my time. (-8 GMT) Quote
Samurai_Guyver Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Well, I've seen up to the recent ep 25.. and while, I don't know Japanese, it's still awesome to watch. Although, like I said, I don't know Japanese, so I can verify, but it almost looks like they're having creative changes and giving the Gigantic to only Guyver 1. Quote

Well yeah... Cuz in volume 10 on Guyver 1 uses the gigantic upgrade. Guyver III doesn't use it til he fights Imakarum. Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I've seen a few shots of Gigantic Guyver from the anime and it looks incredible! Too bad I'm going to wait till Chuang Yi publishes the volumes that this episodes are based off. COME ON CHUANG YI! LEt's see some episodes... Murakami's battle with the three Enzyme II's was very cool. The music was a bit odd at first but I like it now. I liked the way they played out Murakami's story by taking actual pictures from the manga, nice touch. In episode 15, I noticed another reference to the old anime, the shot of a werewolf which was suggested that these old legends were really the desendants of the original Zoanoids. It was pretty breath taking to see Guyot's Zoalord form. However I was a bit disappointed with the way they altered his voice. I always pictured it being deeper, not changed into a 'Zoanoid' like voice. Episode 16. Handled Sho's recovered very well and found a more tastful way to handle the Mizuki/Aptom part. The fight was pretty neat with Aptom changing from Gregoel, Enzyme II, and Vamore and fighting as each form briefly. However we didn't get as much action from his combo form as I wished. None the less it was a good episode. Episode 17. Aptom was great in this one, his take over of Elegen was very well done. Sho and Mizuki's flight from the Zoanoids was very cool, especially since we got to see a bit more Vamore action. And the return of Guyver III! BTW Chuang Yi still doesn't have any news on book 9 and up. Quote
