Here is a short explaination of what VIP membership is.

This site costs money to run.
The server must be paid for, the domain must be paid for...
The forum software costs, the gallery costs...

I don't ask members to pay for the costs but it would be nice to have some help. That's why the VIP membership exhists to give people a little bit extra in return for them helping out with the costs of the site.
To be a VIP member costs the paultry sum of $10 US. other currency
In return, you get an increased PM box, relaxed forum controls such as more file size availability for images etc.
You get a private forum that only VIP can access.
You get full access to the scanlations that are stored on this server, allowing much easier downloading if you desire.
You get a sparkly VIP badge on your screen/profile.
You get the sense of wellbeing that comes from helping out the community.

to become a VIP member, you can use the paypal button, and leave a note with your donation indicating your username and that you want to be a VIP.

I found another thread here that clears this up, I probably will get VIP membership eventually but I'll save my money for the ordering system beforehand.

Is the VIP a monthly subscription fee? Like pay to be a VIP once a month?

I made this button.

I have created this button to allow ease of donations for anybody who wishes to.

The VIP membership is a set cost but if people want to donate just a bit or a lot, they can use this button for that too.

<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top">
<input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick">
<input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="84DXKJXRPSQM4">
<input type="image" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_GB/i/btn/btn_donate_LG.gif" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal – The safer, easier way to pay online.">
<img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_GB/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1">
</form>

So if me or someone donates, and we don't want the glowing, big VIP, in your face badge that has rainbow flashing colors. Like say we only just wanted the blue label (*VIP Member) part by itself under our avatar as what I'm pointing out. Is that possible? Or is it just a one way? Or if we donate and just want to keep our Member ++ status.Not that I'm complaining about it, I'm just thinking about that part. Not that I won't donate because of that.

Oh, the visa debit part. When I go to place in the country as United States. It still asks for an English, Scottish, United Kingdom county. So even when I put my info and debit number, It wanted a Euro county (town) and wouldn't let me donate because I don't have an option to go with my country. No state option. I've tried all day. So must be a glitch or I'm not doing something right. Never had that kind of trouble before. So I'm going to have to put together a Paypal account now. I'll deal with it some time this week.

Oh dear, this is frustrating.

I'll send them an email about it.

It really should not do that.

by the way, I found a possible workaround. I don't know if it'll work for you.

look at the address bar and where it says 'uk' change that to 'us'.

if that doesn't work then try using a different browser.

that is all I can suggest for now, I'll have to wait and see what the email response is from paypal.

The request for a VIP user account minus the shiny badge, it is possible but it involves a lot of hassle on my part. I would have to create an entirely separate user group to do that ad that means any time I need to make a change, i have to monitor bothy to make sure they are the same. To be honest that is too much of a headache so short answer is sorry it's not possible. I mean if you wanted you could just forego the vip member group.

what's wrong with the sparkly badge though? They're adorable ^_^
