Sweet !'m a bird! But don't think that means I'm some kind of little crap bird, I'm a twenty foot long half bird half robot falcon that eats people and has laser vision! At least until I move up to cat
  3. Yea, I bet Jesus probably would rise from the grave to see dark knight,...if he hasn't already!
  4. Thats a cool portfolio, I like the trippy effect of the third one
  5. Well despite what you guys say its become the 3rd Top Grossing movie of all time. 3) The Dark Knight $400million 2) Star Wars $460 million 1) Titanic $600 million Actually, Gone With the Wind is the current #1. Since it was made in the 1940's, its not considered to be in the running, but if we use current usa economic standards it grossed in about $1.4 Billion!!! Thats a big lead
  6. I think it was due to the religious aspect of the God and Devil Gundams. Here in America we the dubbing companies try hard to take away religious afiliations so it doesn't offend anyone, but I hear where you're coming from. Devil Gundam sounds better than Dark Gundam
  7. G Gundam was the best series other than the orginal, I used to have this big book about every mobile suit in the entire Gundam franchise! It would tell you the armaments, the technical info, and talk about the pilots. Too bad I lost it
  8. I love G Gundam, it was one of the best Gundam Stories
  9. I think we're supposed to guess that Bruce ordered it to be taken down after the Ras Al Gul affair
  10. I just loved how we hated the bat-cycle for what it was and then we saw the movie and it turned out to be something far cooler than any of us expected! I really hope he doesn't get the bat-boat, the bat-copter, and the bat-jet
  11. Amen! Who'd you like better: Joker or Two-Face?
  12. Yeah, I really think they shouldn't have those cartoony villains
  13. When I saw it the previews were over but the screen was blank. And it was blank for a couple of minutes, everyone was on the edge of their seats...then out from the back, we hear: "If they start playing Mama Mia, then I'm killing myself!" It was hilarious and then the movie started. If they made a third one, what could they do? Basically this one left off where the first Batman began
  14. Two-Face's face was mad creepy
  15. Then I want to ask you guys the smae question I've been asking everyone: Joker or Two Face? I and a couple of People from work, picked two face
  16. Yeah, that was cool how they It made me feel better that they picked an urban setting rather than a random acre of woods
  17. SE I agree with your statement but in this regard: It should be the best movie of the new millennium! The fact is, the movie sold out in the entire american country in every movie theater from coast to coast. It sold more tickets and sold them faster than any movie in american history. So that may be why they put it at the top, but its not the greatest movie of all time
  18. I just got back from seeing this picture. I have read the reviews on rotten tomatoes. I have heard the thoughts of people. I have only one thing to say and I will put it in spoilers since I'm not going to ruin the movie for anyone:
  19. He was a "detective of fear"
  20. Well I'm sure they're gonna have him make a satirical comment here and there but I think what more People are interested in is the insane side. From my opinion; Nichalson didn't do a good job of making us believe that the Joker was crazy; from what I've heard, Ledger nailed the insane part. I wouldn't be too worried about the Joker, though. Everyone knows that the joker is a psychopath that loves the make jokes, so thses guys won't screw him up. I am in agreement with you all in one aspect, I've been watching the old Batman cartoons, and I do wish they did put in the detective side of batman in these moves, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. If they didn't do it in the last movie, I doubt the People making this movie would want to throw their Batman into a new tangent, I think they'd be too afraid of the public seeing it as a let down. Ironically, I think a lot of People feel the opposite way and want to see the detective side a little bit more. But I don't think it would fit the first movie if Ras Al Gul (sp) called batman, "Detective" like he did in the cartoon. As for gadgets, everyone has gadgets. Everyone has them and everyone uses them, theres no escape from it. Its Hollywood's way of saying, "look how cool we are and how cool we can make things look!" I agree though, the Bat-Bike is kind of stupid, but they wanted to expand on his modes of transportation. After all, Batman did have a boat and a jet!
  21. Say what you want about the dark knight, but Indy 4 (except for the ending) was great! I thought Batman Begins was great, I just liked this whole new aspect of taking the whole idea of batman and throwing it into a whole new perspective. Say what you guys want about The Dark Knight, until we see it, I don't think we should say its gonna be bad
  22. Thats just thing, People like flashy gadgets and awesome fights with lots of kick ass explosions and fists flying everywhere. Sadly Batman has to suffer from this as well, because the directors want to appeal to not only Batman fans, but those who aren't familiar with the story and want to see a good action film. If anyone is at fault here, its the People
  23. Dude, it won't dissapoint, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are such good actors and they really worked hard on this film, they won't dissapoint us. I'm seeing it July 17th @ midnight!!!
  24. I don't know if Christian Bale is making a bad batman, he's a good actor and if you read the Dark Horse Comics version of batman, Batman is darker and more grief stricken. These new batman movies aren't adding to tim burton's films, but rather starting a new version of the story, looking at it in more darker and realistic perspective. Tim Burton focussed more on how things looked, these new movies are exploring Batman's true persona: A warrior of the night who uses fear as his weapon rather than a superpower or a gadget. His only new gadgets appear to be a glider and the batcycle. On a differant note, Heath Ledger as the Joker is proving to be quite an awesome joker. I don't know if you guys heard this before: When the movie was still in production and Heath was cast as the Joker, he recieved a call from the legendary Jack Nicholson. Nicholson told Ledger that the role of the Joker was going to be too dangerous and that he couldn't do no matter how hard he tried. So apparently, Ledger decided to prove him wrong. So he decided to stay in character, even off the set. He made sure to get into the Joker's twisted mind by staying as the character 24/7. His friends were creeped out by him, always talking like the Joker and thinking like him. He'd also keep tons of journals, all in the Joker's mindset expressing the villains chaotic thoughts. Many believe that this was cuased by the constant drugs he took may have kept his mind in this constant state. All we can say is, that he's going to do a phenominal job as the joker. All though it cost him his life, his method may have been the key to becoming any character
  25. In the words of the immortal warrior of awesomeness, Kevin Smith: "People took a good idea and based a belief structure on it. Its not important what you have faith in, but that you have faith. I don't belive in God, but I have a good idea..." -Kevin Smith I think we can all learn a lot from that
