The Dark Knight
Then I want to ask you guys the smae question I've been asking everyone: Joker or Two Face? I and a couple of People from work, picked two face
-
The Dark Knight
Yeah, that was cool how they It made me feel better that they picked an urban setting rather than a random acre of woods

The Dark Knight
SE I agree with your statement but in this regard: It should be the best movie of the new millennium! The fact is, the movie sold out in the entire american country in every movie theater from coast to coast. It sold more tickets and sold them faster than any movie in american history. So that may be why they put it at the top, but its not the greatest movie of all time

The Dark Knight
I just got back from seeing this picture. I have read the reviews on rotten tomatoes. I have heard the thoughts of people. I have only one thing to say and I will put it in spoilers since I'm not going to ruin the movie for anyone:

The Dark Knight
He was a "detective of fear"

The Dark Knight
Well I'm sure they're gonna have him make a satirical comment here and there but I think what more People are interested in is the insane side. From my opinion; Nichalson didn't do a good job of making us believe that the Joker was crazy; from what I've heard, Ledger nailed the insane part. I wouldn't be too worried about the Joker, though. Everyone knows that the joker is a psychopath that loves the make jokes, so thses guys won't screw him up. I am in agreement with you all in one aspect, I've been watching the old Batman cartoons, and I do wish they did put in the detective side of batman in these moves, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. If they didn't do it in the last movie, I doubt the People making this movie would want to throw their Batman into a new tangent, I think they'd be too afraid of the public seeing it as a let down. Ironically, I think a lot of People feel the opposite way and want to see the detective side a little bit more. But I don't think it would fit the first movie if Ras Al Gul (sp) called batman, "Detective" like he did in the cartoon. As for gadgets, everyone has gadgets. Everyone has them and everyone uses them, theres no escape from it. Its Hollywood's way of saying, "look how cool we are and how cool we can make things look!" I agree though, the Bat-Bike is kind of stupid, but they wanted to expand on his modes of transportation. After all, Batman did have a boat and a jet!

The Dark Knight
Say what you want about the dark knight, but Indy 4 (except for the ending) was great! I thought Batman Begins was great, I just liked this whole new aspect of taking the whole idea of batman and throwing it into a whole new perspective. Say what you guys want about The Dark Knight, until we see it, I don't think we should say its gonna be bad

The Dark Knight
Thats just thing, People like flashy gadgets and awesome fights with lots of kick ass explosions and fists flying everywhere. Sadly Batman has to suffer from this as well, because the directors want to appeal to not only Batman fans, but those who aren't familiar with the story and want to see a good action film. If anyone is at fault here, its the People

The Dark Knight
Dude, it won't dissapoint, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are such good actors and they really worked hard on this film, they won't dissapoint us. I'm seeing it July 17th @ midnight!!!

The Dark Knight
I don't know if Christian Bale is making a bad batman, he's a good actor and if you read the Dark Horse Comics version of batman, Batman is darker and more grief stricken. These new batman movies aren't adding to tim burton's films, but rather starting a new version of the story, looking at it in more darker and realistic perspective. Tim Burton focussed more on how things looked, these new movies are exploring Batman's true persona: A warrior of the night who uses fear as his weapon rather than a superpower or a gadget. His only new gadgets appear to be a glider and the batcycle. On a differant note, Heath Ledger as the Joker is proving to be quite an awesome joker. I don't know if you guys heard this before: When the movie was still in production and Heath was cast as the Joker, he recieved a call from the legendary Jack Nicholson. Nicholson told Ledger that the role of the Joker was going to be too dangerous and that he couldn't do no matter how hard he tried. So apparently, Ledger decided to prove him wrong. So he decided to stay in character, even off the set. He made sure to get into the Joker's twisted mind by staying as the character 24/7. His friends were creeped out by him, always talking like the Joker and thinking like him. He'd also keep tons of journals, all in the Joker's mindset expressing the villains chaotic thoughts. Many believe that this was cuased by the constant drugs he took may have kept his mind in this constant state. All we can say is, that he's going to do a phenominal job as the joker. All though it cost him his life, his method may have been the key to becoming any character

How many of the Guyver fans believe in God?
In the words of the immortal warrior of awesomeness, Kevin Smith: "People took a good idea and based a belief structure on it. Its not important what you have faith in, but that you have faith. I don't belive in God, but I have a good idea..." -Kevin Smith I think we can all learn a lot from that

Yu Yu Hakusho
You mean all of the yuske fights? I love the fights including Spirit Energy and the spirit Gun, probably becuase I watched the show when I was young and when I was young my favorite show was DBZ
-
Yu Yu Hakusho
The second tornament was only about 6 episodes long and the final battle between Yomi, the blind guy you're reffering to, and yuske was pretty good. It was a good display of what an S-class battle would look like. The rest of the saga is a lot of talk and just trying to tie up loose ends, getting to really know who hiei, kurama, and yuske really are (Sadly no kuwabara this time) As for Chapter Black, I will always agree with your statement: It was by far the best saga in the whole show!!! It had the most compelling music, the villain was nothing yuske and his team had faced before, his enemies tested their moral limits, and the whole race against time just brought a mood that yuske might lose. Every time the tunnel grew closer to completion, it just seemed like the likelyhood of yuske's victory dwindelled. As for Torguro, the whole dark tornament just seemed too stupid. The whole tornament was basically us waiting to see the grudge match between Toguro and Yuske. We could tell the whole time that Yuske wouldn't lose before facing toguro. But I will say this, I liked toguro when his demonic side took over!

Signature Guidelines
Okay, I see where you're coming from, I've visited other forums and they're sigs are mad long and they make loading the pages so long! I think we have guidelines and rules about the sigs becuase if it took 20minutes to load a single page, I would've left this place a long time ago

Signature Guidelines
Question, are the sigs becoming a problem? I'm a bit curious

Thoughts about Peace and Love
War and peace can only exist if the other is present. Natural human instincts make us instigate fighting amungst each other leading to a large conflict where numerous People ingadge in conflict, i. e. war. But the counter balance to fighting is to reach a resolution, which usually implies that fighting ceases and violence ends. Now war has stopped. Due to the fact that the two combatting sides have sustained losses and have agreed to try and cooperate, People gain trust towards each other and act frioendly to a point where the desire for war ends. i.e peace. Now, as long as we all have unique brains that allow us to think individually, there will always be someone who is unhappy with what the peace brings and will rally people, either through lies, manipulationb, false promises, or real promisies, what-have-you, and will follow that base instict and instage fighting again. The instigation will spark that instict to fight back and war will once again be achieved. And then People will try and achieve peace, the point is that war and peace are not so much opposites (I know its contradicting what I said before) but rather its like a cycle! The same thing can be said about the Death Cycle, both in the regard that like and death are opposites and are a cycle.

Thoughts about Peace and Love
What no hippie seems to understand is that peace cannot exist without war! War creates peace and peace is created by war, the two are opposites that must coexist in order for the other to exist

Humour thread
I got a story I heard from work the other day: My boss is in her late 30's early 40's and is a woman, and her husband died 9 years ago, but she never remarried or dated again. I guess she didn't fell like it or something. Here we go: She's talking with a customer and the customer asks her, "Well if your husband's been dead for 9 years, how come you don't remarry?" And she replies, "I could never remarry, (I only put it in spoilers becuase its dirty, but you have to think about it) Can you believe she said that to a customer!!! And this story isn't funny but I'll tell it anyway: A friend of my friend went a trip to India and he bought a lion cub, and smuggled it back into the U.S. I'm assuming this was before 9/11 so security wasn't as hasseling as it was. (Don't ask me how he got it back in the U.S I don't know) If you didn't know, here in the States, an exotic pet licence does not cover lions, put this guy knew that and didn't even bother to get one. If anyone has ever seen Grandma's Boy, that would be my only explanation as to why he had a lion. Now this guy had a lot of disposable income so he converted a large portion of his house, into a mini-jungle! He constantly added to it, making the lion feel more at home. He also made it familiar with friends and family, but he never let it set foot outside the house! (There was no need) So one day he leaves for some reason, to get beers or food, whatever. After he leaves, two burgurlers break into the guy's house! They start roaming the house and taking drenn, until the lion sees them! The lion mauls the hell out of them, and a neighbor heard the robber's cries and calls the cops! The cops come and see the lion chewing on the robber's corpses, so they shoot the poor thing to death! But honestly, they had no choice, te lion had a taste of human flesh, plus its a lion chewing on a corpse, what would you do if you had a loaded gun in your hand!? So there you have it, as for the guy, I think he got fined for owning the lion, but no jail time.

Saddest Anime death ever?
My saddest death would have to be: One Piece, when Brooke the musician is remembering his past and when all of his Rumba Pirate crew members are all dead, he and four crew members start to play a song called the "Song of Life". As they start playing, one by one the crew members start collapsing from exhaustion, and dying. The sad part is, whenever a crew member falls Brooke says "Now only a quartet" then another one falls, "a trio" another falls, "duet" and finally the last one falls and Brooke stops playing, his face full of tears and says, "solo..." then Brooke dies! It is sooooo sad! Fans of one piece would agree with me, its not as sad as Robin's story, but it is the second saddest flashback of the Straw Hat crew.

Teleportation
Well I just found this piece on teleportation it might help us come to a conclusion on the matter: "Teleportation is the movement of objects or elementary particles from one place to another, more or less instantaneously, without traveling through space. With present techniques, "exact" quantum teleportation is possible only with photons and atoms.[1] "Inexact" teleportation (where quantum states are not preserved), is possible by encoding information about an object, transmitting the information to another place, such as by radio or an electric signal, and creating a copy of the original object in the new location." - wikipedia Though some believe wikipedia is not a reliable source, I think anyone who can say that about teleportation must have some knowledge on the subject. But since it says: "without traveling through space" I have to question my earlier statment about traveling through space-time.
