Okay, I got my step-dad to laugh at these ones. Oh, what one can find on YT. This white ranger wan-be needs to loose some weight and the red SPD wanna-be needs to beef up. Power Ranger Pattie cake I don't even know....

Well, the image is also posted in the Favorite Ultimate Rider poll thread in the KR section. You can snag it there.

I don't care what people say, this will be epic when it's finally done cuz then we won't have to see these trailers anymore! But I'm still going to see it as it looks amazing this time 'round.

Well, that color scheme is hard to get used to but it may just be the picture quality. And it seems that he's helping Double fight the Luna Dopant. Also, I got the same pics as Bobby does posted in the Kamen Rider O's thread. And, yes Odin, that does seeming look photoshoped. Can easily be done if you know how to tweak the image texture just right.

Well, it's now been confirmed as true. Our new Rider will be called Kamen Rider O's. The symbol looks like OOO and when pronounced, it's romanized as Ozu. Official magazine scan. -

Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion
Toku Warrior replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
TVN and OoZ both take about 5-6 days to sub and release a new Kamen Rider Episode. The group W-Time releases a soft sub episode within the first 2-3 days tops though, unlike TVN and OoZ, everything is translated and no special text effects are added. -
Hey guys, remember the young seiyuu/actress Tamaki Matsumoto? She's best known for her role as Kohana on Kamen Rider Den-O and the J-Drama My Fair Boy. Also does a theme for Code Geass R2. Her is the PV video of her new single, Sunshine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tzgzo_jncCc

Kamen Rider W (Double) Series discussion
Toku Warrior replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I think most of us following the series so far already knew that before hand by now. Also, Odin, though the Joker memory is a hand-to-hand combat type of memory, it's also known as the Ultimate Trump. -
Basically. I guess you could say that out of those.....Hopper, Z, Xceed and Neos are the only ones that don't fit that category. Z is the Kaizou Ningen of the group. Neos is the evolutionary warrior. Xceed is the Tech using Rider of the future (sorta based on Faiz and Kabuto for that part). Hopper is an alien form in Ben's Ultimatrix that can form change into more powerful forms (4 forms total).

Bobby, all you have to do is watch the clip until it ends. It then provides the YT link in a small box at the end of the video.

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight discussion thread
Toku Warrior replied to a topic in Japanese Entertainment
Yes, that is true. But you are forgetting the one most important thing. Money! It makes the world go 'round and a group, like Adness, won't have as big a budget like Power Rangers does. This means their shooting sites, amount of equipment, props, suit costs, special effects, cgi, actors/actresses, and special made footage would cost money. If the budget is low then that means they'd have to cut back on a lot of this stuff. Just like they had to with shows like Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and movies like Guyver/Guyver Dark Hero. -
It's time for some good ol' Celebrity Deathmatch. Kid Rock VS Eminem Ozzy Osborn VS Elton John Stallone VS Schwarzenegger Madonna VS Michael Jackson

Kamen Rider Dragon Knight discussion thread

Okay, let's look at all 11 (12 if you include G) Heisei Riders. Not all of them would work well as an American adaption but some do seem like they could be done with respect paid to the original series. Ryuki was the diamond in the rough for this as it started and, to me, it did wonders. It was like Power Rangers slightly but it had a more serious tone built into it. Power Rangers, Beetleborgs, Supre Human Samurai Syber Squad, VR Trooper and Masked Rider are all series which cater to the age group of 4-12 year old boys and girls, primarily boys. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight took it a step further and, with only around half the budget that Power Rangers usually uses, actually did very well for an age range of 8-16 year old kids. Even some adults liked the series. Now, I do believe that some Rider series would do good in American Adaption but not all. they first key thing to note it age. How dated is the series in its visual looks. Any series pre-Ryuki looks like how Power Rangers used to look in the old days with that grainy feel to it. Kuuga and Agito look like this as well...unless you get the series in HD format. But you also need to see if the story can still be adapted as well without just using the old space alien routine. Ryuki was able to pull off the alien routine but it still kept the mirror monster mystery that made Ryuki so well loved. I don't think Kuuga would do well as an adaption but Agito may be a nice idea. That's because it leads to the next thing most kids of the 8-16 look for. A hero set of 2 or more. Yes, a lone warrior would be fine but a villain that can use the same abilities is something most kids like. A small group of same yet slightly different powered characters is also good. Agito, Faiz, Blade and Kiva did this well by keeping the Rider costumes within the 3-4 group range. So, IMO, Kuuga, Hibiki and Den-O most likely would not go well in being adapted. Though out of those 3 Kuuga would still stand a better chance. Yes, Den-O has the Rider suit limit mentioned a second ago but it's just too campy and comical for an older teen series. It's more Power Rangery than any other Kamen Rider series. Kiva is a maybe. It would need some serious reworking but it could be done and possibly be made to be even better than it's original Japanese version. Same with Agito. Faiz and Blade would be very good bets when going to American adaption because you can easily alter their story and make it more American viable and understandable. Decade....I really don't know and I would rather not see it americanized. Double (W).....it may prove to be worth it if it's done correctly. Their biggest challenge would have to be Kabuto. Yes, it does involve space aliens but that series really makes it work. They would most likely have to rework the stage 1 transformation of the Cast On armor but after that the Cast Off thing can easily be kept on. Americanizing the Clock Up speed with American footage is possible. The only real big problem is having enough actors as Kabuto probably has one of the longest Rider casts of any Heisei Rider series next to Decade, Ryuki and Hibiki. That's a lot of money for each actor and not to mention budget constraints. But I do believe Kabuto, along with Blade and Faiz, would be the best bets for American Adaption. -

Well, i just watch all of KRDK in under a day-n-half and i must say it was really impressive for a low budget series. My only real gripes are that it had 3 recap episodes. That and that Other than that it was a really great series. I just wish they had enough money to where they could have released an OST of all the BGM. Many of the scores from the series were really excellent. -
Sigh, well if i must. I did say I liked D.Gray-Man. I never said I hated it. It's just some of the fillers for the series to drag on a bit but the anime still get's the job done nicely. Though it does pull an Inuyasha on us. I'll let you simmer on that bit of info. I have the boxset for AzuManga Daioh!. ADV, one of their best dubs of all time to me. See if you can purchase it from animenation. They may have it for sale still. Wait, they still have it. here's a link. http://www.animenation.com/daz-100.html Probably one of the best places to find anime DVD's for legit official sale. As for the other series or any anime at all, if you want, I can at least tell you the ecchi to H factor of a series ahead of time. That can at least make your decision easier. If I do remember, you don't like anime that's too flashy, ne? Other than that, your call on what ya wanna see.

Like I said, just forget about it. But my day just got better. As I just told BK, I finally got my new medication being sent to me in the mail. Remember how I suffer from Psoriasis? Well, I now have the medical insurance to cover the medication for it.

Now here's a nice AMV for Naruto.

Whoa, whoa, don't just shoot me man. Jeez-o-pete, must you take it in such a wrong way. Half the series I just recommended are series even I don't like. I'm not going by my complete preferences but going by things that you MIGHT find interesting. Not many series that people recommend will fill the Naruto gap because, like Naruto Shippuuden, they are also on a 1 episode a week schedule and are nothing like that series. If you read the part i wrote about the filler for D.Gray-Man, then you'll see I said that the fillers are descent enough to watch. ONLY SOME TAKE TO LONG TO GET THROUGH. Not all of them. I've read some of Bleach, Claymore and Naruto and when I see a filler I don't judge it by first view. I watch it twice. Once for the sole purpose of viewing it and then a 2nd time to rate it to cannon material of the manga. I only said to probably skip it as IT IS only 25% filler. But when you take it into account that the whole series is 96 episodes long, that's a fairly small portion. Besides, you and I have a different perspective on percentage when it comes to anime, J-Drama, Tokusatsu, etc... 25% to me in an anime is 1 filler episode for every 9-10 cannon material episodes in a series like D.Gray-Man, Naruto or FMA. To you, I don't know. Damn, ya know what? Just leave it. Watch it or don't, it's up to you. I'm tired of trying to help people out and then end up getting my butt chewed off for it. I'm not going to bother providing a suggestion and my opinion on things if this is what is to be expected. Criticism and constructive suggestion is one thing but not this. I don't fully know what you want in a series as I don't know of every anime you watch. Me, I watch just about everything and if it doesn't catch me within a certain amount of episodes (5-6 for 24/26 or 2-4 in a 12/13 series) then I stop watching it and delete all the files. Go-Onger, Shinkenger, One Piece, Umi Neko no Naku Koro ni....it's all the same as they were pure crap after only 5-8 episodes of viewing and friends told me they were good. What's good to me may be crap to you or vice-versa. We only have different tastes in genre's. So, like I said, I won't make another suggestion. Let the others do it instead. Durendal, V Guyver, you two obviously know what he's looking for. please, continue as you may have better luck. P.S. - Yes, for the record, I've been having a bad day as of yesterday morning and it's been ongoing since then. So don't take this as me having an outburst due to stress. This is just due to getting my head chewed off for trying to give a suggestion and my own personal opinion. That is all. Your ever so loyal Toku and anime loving friend, HyperGuyver

I think I can explain the Onix thing for ya. In the original series, Kamen Rider Ryuki, there were only 10 Advent decks. Ryuki (Dragon Knight) Knight (Wing Knight) Ohja (Strike) Zolda (Torque) Raia (Sting) Scissors (Incisor) Gai (Thrust) Tiger (Axe) Odin Imperer (Spear) Then when the movie, Episode Finale, was released in theaters they introduced 3 more Rider Decks. Femme (Siren) Ryuga (Onix) Verde (Camo) Those 3 are movie only Riders. They were never part of the actual series. Only Ryuga, of those 3, made it to the hyper battle video special and both Femme and Ryuga made it to the Decade series. the Deck Master was also a non-original Rider that was not created by Yui's brother. He was known in the KR Ryuki series as Alternate Zero. An evil Rider that was defeated near the end of the series. Though I can see why they made him good in KRDK. Now on to Ryuga (Onix). In the KRDK series both Kit and Adam can co-exist as each has a similar deck. Though, if I recall correctly, Kit originally dreamed about the Onix deck and then Eubulon gave him the deck. Not sure as I have not fully seen the whole series. In KR Ryuki, Ryuga was a mirror version of Shinji. Or more precisely, his darker half/polar opposite. In KR Ryuki, all the mirror monsters are created by Yui but here brother creates the Rider Decks. It is not known how Ryuga's deck actually came to be though some theorize it may be due to Yui herself. not sure. Ryuki, if you read this can ya clarify it. You're more familiar with this series than I am. -
Ah yes, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi was definitely a great series. I liked the manga for it better in some points though it was way too short. Ryuki, about D.Gray-Man, I would probably skip it. I have the whole series subbed. I do like it but, like Bleach, a good 25% of the series is filler episodes. Some of the fillers are really great bu they take to long to get to the actual manga points of the series sometimes. It's about 96 episodes long. Fairy Tail, I have up to.....Eps.33 DLed.....I think. I've only watched the first 2-3 and it's ok. It has an animation style that's sorta like a combi of FMA and One Piece. The only series I know of that have a long episode track listing are Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Pocket Monsters and DB-Z-GT-Kai. If you like short series (13-26 episode length series) then maybe something along the lines of Chrono Crusade. The anime was ok but the manga is far superior...especially the ending. And Durendal is right about the Moe thing. Series like KisxSis, Lucky Star, Girls Bravo, DearS and SHUFFLE! are the moe setting. Maybe you like a series with a girl that's more of the tsundere type of character like those in series such as Naruto (Sakura) and FMP (Chidori)? I would possibly suggest Air Gear! as the main character, Ikki, is voiced in english by the same VA for Sho (Guyver) and Sasuke (FMP). That is if you can get past the ecchi to the almost H related material. It's really funny and quite enjoyable as it's more of a futuristic roller blading sport with funny moments galore. Zone of Enders was also a good series and it's one of the few anime that I know of that actually ties into its video game predecessor as a part of its past background storyline. The OVA was also really good. If you like romance series but have a mix of school-life, slice of life and sports then maybe Suzuka would be nice. You could also try Witchblade, Karin, Fate/Stay Night, Angelic Layer, Ookami Kakushi, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry in English) and AzuManga Daioh! (possibly the funniest series I've ever watched). If you hate or are not interested in series that go the over-the-top ecchi, near H related content then stay away from series like Ikkitousen (good fight scenes but it's more near naked to naked woman anime), Seikon no Qwaser, B Gata H Kei, Queen's Blade, KisxSis, Air Gear!, Witchblade, DearS, SHUFFLE!, Kampfer and Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Mao. A few other series I would recommend are Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Durarara!!, HEROMAN and Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari (this is related to Tnechi Muyo but it's not revealed as so until half way into the series).

Actually, I can see it working well. It would help motivate him further as he would be able to get to see the one person he never really got to meet. It would also be a chance to help give him new morals and a newer understanding as to why he was chosen as the Kitsune's vessel. As for myself, I just purchased NS season 1, box 1. Contains Eps.1-13. I'll be buying Season 1 box 2 later next week. This way I can still DL the newer episodes as they're subbed but still watch the older ones and officially support the franchise. Once the English DVD's catch up to the current releases then I'll be happy.
