Well remember the original was made in the 80's and Frank Miller wrote the script. So of course you were going to see gratuitous amounts of violence. And if this movie turns out to be good, hopefully it will get good sequels unlike the original. Interesting factiod that I don't know if it's true, but according to Geek Crash Course on Youtube, they stated that Robocop design was inspired by Space Sheriff Gavan.

Actually, Shin is Armenian, so if his color scheme follows his homeland it would not be that red. Plus, I don't think he would have that color scheme for the sake it would be too similar to the Gigantic Exceed's.
