  1. Today I had a meeting with an artist andd friend I met at Mizumi con, and things went beyond expectations. I mean things went extremely good. He told me straight up he loves my story, the idea, and that he's going to work with me. We hit it off, talking about concepts, finer details, and presenting it to Anartic Press. Things are going very well right now for it, and I am looking forward to working with him. For more information on the story, here is the Distant Wings Page: http://www.japan-legend.com/forum/index.php/topic/6287-distant-wings/
  2. I just finished Mobile Suit: Gundam ZZ yesterday and I didn't like it at all, major dissapointment. It became more like a chore watching it, instead of enjoyment. I hate animes like that, but atleast now I know what happened in terms of events, personally I thought it was a joke of a series, and I don't consider it to be apart of the Gundam franchise much like how I don't consider G Gundam or the Guyver Live Action movies to be apart of their franchise. I could go on about why I didn't like it however I feel as if it'd be mute to do so, but thats just me alot of people really liked it and enjoy the show, don't let me scare you away from it, this series just wasnt for me.
  3. Durendal hit alot of good points but what he was refering to was specifically to Mobile Suit: Zeta Gundam. Zeta gundam was really good, it did have some moments that rathered annoyed me I will say (the whole Katz crap for ex). But it was really something worth while. But ryuki, you said you have never seen a gundam show, and want to know, what it is that makes it worth the time. Well to try to explain it, there are so many different shows and sub arcs, so not all of them are in the same timeline or universe. There is respectfully: Universal Century (UC) Future Century (FC) After Colony Era (ACE) Cosmic Era (CE) and Correct Century (CC) I believe this is correct, Durendal please correct me if I am wrong about this. The orginial Gundam takes place in the Universal Century which is the main Gundam franchise. Now to me, what makes Gundam so amazing, is its never ending surprises. The politcal parts are always moving around in a spiral, while it shows how the people have to suffer. It goes on to show how rough the battlefields are, (which by the way the battles are always planned out so well). The fights are incredible, and the brutality of war is shown first hand. As well as how each persons motives change drastically throughout the course of the story, and how sly the politicians are in achieving their goals. The incredible awe of space, and how people live in the conditions. The terminology and the powers that come with the I mean it is really a great show. (Though some people don't like it, becuase of how big the robots are) but personally I don't mind it. Now my favorite gundam show thus far, is Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing this show takes place in the After Colony Era, and doesnt have anything to do with the original gundam, or the UC timeline. There are several reasons why I like this show the best so far, one of which is I love how all the main hero's have a common goal, but not only do they have completely different methods of achieving that goal but they all have different motivations for doing the things they do. Another reason why I like it the best, is all the characters There are many other reasons why I like this show the best so far, character development I think was done extremely well, along with the obsessions of achieving specific tasks, from key players. The political parts where well played, and The battles were always awesome, I thought so anyways, and finally like Mobile Suit: Gundam 08th MS Team it was animated for a more mature audience giving it a even more realistic feel to the events. If you want to watch the primary series in order though, here is the list of events that take place. (Again Durendal please correct me if I'm wrong) Mobile Suit: Gundam Mobile Suit: Gundam 08th MS Team Mobile Suit: Gundam 0080 War In the Pocket Mobile Suit: Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory Mobile Suit: Zeta Gundam Mobile Suit: ZZ Gundam Mobile Suit: Char's Counter Attack Mobile Suit: Gundam Unicorn Mobile Suit: Gundam F91 Mobile Suit: Victory Gundam I believe that is all the (UC) material, and here is the official gundam website were you can find more information if you are interested. I hope this wasnt too overwhelming hehe... My link
  4. Just finished Mobile Suit: Zeta Gundam wow. Is all I can say WOW.
  5. Yes I've always wanted to watch them, (U.C.) but could never find them. And I want to watch them in order of events, not only one side, or Amuro vs. Char. I like to see all the gundam events and battles and such. Speaking of which, have you heard of Gundam Igloo? Saw something about that, but I don't know anything about it, or if it's even really a series... Just finished: Mobile Suit: Gundam 08th MS Team Mobile Suit: Gundam: 0080 War In the Pocket and Mobile Suit: Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory 08th MS Team was incredible, so far from the series Ive' watched all the way through it is my second favorite, followed by War In the Pocket, which was also very good. I didn't really care for Stardust Memory, and kind of got bored with it, but still wanted to watch t all the way through. Now moving on the Mobile Suit: Zeta Gundam once again. Hoping this time I will finish it all the way through. I've seen the beginning and the end, but not in between haha!
  6. Some really cool Japanese songs. Onmyouza Kureha PV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k7l3czxxM8 Kokui no tennyo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_uTeKlJmoA
  7. Aww, I am very sorry guys, you know its kind of funny, because before I posted that, I wanted to make sure there was no mention of it, I must of missed that, oh well. Again sorry friends.
  8. Legendary Pictures has announced a remake of Godzilla, for 2012. My link My link theres lots of info all over the web if you wan to google it.
  9. Just finished Ronin Warriors, Karas, Wolf's Rain, Trigun, Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, Tactics, and finally, for my 20th anime I wanted to do something special. I just finished the 1979 Mobile Suit: Gundam series, I am happy I finally watched it all the way through haha! Karas was a really awesome show, it was familiar and yet different, kind of like a guyver/power rangers fighting robot demons was sick! Wolf's Rain a very awesome show. Loved the character development and the incredible ending. My own opinion but thought it was done really well, and it had one of the coolest villains who was protrayed very well. Trigun honestly, do I need to say anything? Crest of the Stars Is the intro (series) to banner of the stars. It was really a sweet anime. Loved the whole thing, awesome ship designs, and interior, as well as piloting it. Loved the political angles, and the battles were really cool. Stay clear of english version as most animes it wasnt too good. Banner of the Stars This is the main story of the characters introduced from Crest of the Stars. The battles were indeed much more dramatic and alot more pain stricken. I didn't care too much for series 2 of this show, as it all revolved around one thing, that was kind of meh. But I wont ruin it for you all, and it was still a cool show to watch. The best thing that I liked about these two shows is that it had that same Wondrous/Mysterious Awestrucking Powerful Feeling of Space, that Zeta Gundam had. Tactics This show wasnt all that impressive in my opinion. It was okay, but it wasnt anything great. Mobile Suit: Gundam Words cannot fathom this series. I've seen most of these animes (along with many, many others ones) but I never did finish them, or watched them from start to finish like the ones below. I.E. Ronin Warriors, among others, until a while ago. The list doesnt count in Feature Films below, as I do not consider them to be a series. My Completed Anime List In Order of Finishing Them: Dragonball Z Bio-Boosted Armor: Guyver Zoids: Future Century Zero Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing Yu-Gi-Oh! Yu Yu Hakusho Blue Gender Slayers Inuyasha Claymore Code: Geass Heat Guy J Ronin Warriors Karas Wolf's Rain Trigun Crest of the Stars Banner of the Stars Tactics Mobile Suit: Gundam Now moving on to more Gundam series.
  10. It's been a long time since I've posted in here and alot of things have happened. A while ago, I saw Battle L.A. which was incredible, and amazing film 10/10 I mean, it was pure brilliant! I also saw Red Riding Hood, which was also really good. I'd give it a 9/10. Besides that, I went to an anime con last saturday, Mizuumi-con, though it was very short notice, so I wasn't able to cosplay anyone. However it was still very fun, and I got some information I was looking for, and talked with some Anartic Press Publishers. Over all, things are kind of just nuetral right now. Don't feel too well, but also am just watching the days go by...
  11. Wow, it sounds like things are getting interesting in your life. hahahaha! My parents dogs chew the crap out of anything with chords, headphones etc. So it always ticks us off, when we find a pair, or any chewed up wires.
  12. Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), I was in the Air Force JROTC, I showed a clip of my unit prior to my entry in the cool vid's thread. They were doing their Armed Exhibition Routine. It was a great program they have, and hope more people will try it out personally.
  13. Ahh, sorry, yet again I fail to use A.T.D. as taught in JROTC. bleh sorry bout that, ryuki.
  14. You should, and then show us in the amv thread. Once I can afford the right programs I want to be able to make amvs too. I was going to do one for a school project a while ago, but I didn't have full access to the program and computers and such, so I wasnt able to make it, and had to do something else instead.
  15. Ahh okay, but I've not heard druids referred to as skinwalkers before, is that the term they use in the U.K.? When I was in english 303 we had to do cultural projects, and I did Ancient Egyptian and Celtic Society, and it referred to the priests of the tribes as druids, and here are some links and such. Basically there were three major jobs in the celtic reilgious aspect: Ovates: These guys were your basic nurses and doctors. They would treat battle wounds, and the likes of. Bard: these guys memoriesed songs, poems, and were historians. They made sure the continuation of traditions and records lived on, through the next generation. Druid: These guys were like the scientists, and doctors. They used herbs for medicine, and were personal advisors to the tribal leader. They could talk to the Gods, and used astronomy, and passed down most hostorical documents to the bards. When I read about ancient werewolf myths and legends it said, that those who thought they were werewolves were known as skinwalkers so maybe it's different terms for our nations... http://ezinearticles.com/?History-of-the-Celtic-Druids&id=1477679 http://www.britannia.com/wonder/michell2.html I would post another vid, but it has some brief nudity in it, and it might not be aporpriate for this site. P.S. I think I am going to start on my costume when I get back from michigan next week, so I am gonna look around the house and see if theres anything I can use, after I watch your video. Thanks again, for the assistance ryuki!
  16. Zombies have feelings too... The Zombie Love Song enjoy haha!
  17. Okay thanks aton ryuki! And they didnt wear animal pelts? Thats a shock, cause I thought the druids wore dear skins and antlers and the likes of.
  18. Sounds to me like your suffering from writers block. I hate those, they happen from time to time, you just need to take a break and let your brain relax for a while, and then continue on. Just don't force yourself to write your stories, cause then they are no good, and not as creative as they would be as when the story comes naturally to you. Just let it flow out of you, and it will work.
  19. No I havent ryuki, is that one of your youtube films or something? I was hoping I could get a wolf's head to wear kid of like how the wendol wore the bear pelts in the film "Eaters of the Dead". Thanks though for the info on the costume I look forward to seeing your film if you still have it.

Hey, I am sorry if I am interupting, but I really felt obligated to post this here, and I hope this doesnt sound rude. EX to me, it sounds like in your dream you are in a state of the unknown. Hence the maze, in the dream you do not know where to go, nor what to expect. When the gaurd finds you, you said he screams, but its not scary or fearful, so could it be a scream of relief, or happiness that he found you when he did? The machines to me seem to symbolize the evil and horrors of industrialization. Kind of like child labor. Today I had a dream from 2 p.m.-6:30 p.m. In my dream, it I went to my house, and it was completely deserted. I remembered the previous days, with spending time with family, and very close friends, and even starting a intimate relationship with someone. It went into details, and conversations in my memories, but other then saying that, it's not important. So anyways, I went from room to room, seeing everything still there. TV's on, music still playing, as if they just vanished from thin air. I picked up items, and was feeling them, remembering the people. Then, I found some sort of hidden chamber, that went under the house. I followed it, and it lead into a kind of castle (like castlvania style). It went on for miles, and miles. I ended up getting lost, and found-out there were monsters or creatures inside of this place. They were a cross between the necromorphs (Dead Space) and some sort of reptile. They were very fast and agile, and I had no means to combat them. So through-out the course of my dream, I have to run around the underground castle, looking for anyone who may still be alive, in particular, I am looking for the girl, and my oldest brother. I finally, found some method of defending myself against the creatures, and found my mother, who was much older in my dream say around 80ish. Oddly, she seemed to be able to command the monsters to leave the area, and we continued on. Eentually, we found both my older brother, and the girl, and it was revealed that my mother was responsible for opening up the under-ground castle and releasing the creatures. She wanted to kill off the family, and close friends, and conquer the world, and give it to me, when she passed. So, in the final part of the dream, we are in a circular room, that is about 800 ft tall, with massive pillars, and no window/walls. And so, at first I side with my mother, and freak out my brother and the girl, but I knew if I pulled a leaver (which I have no idea how I knew this) it would destroy the entire under-ground castle. So I pulled it, and huge-quantums of water rushed inside the castle everywhere, causing most of the things to drown. Inside the room, it started a whirl-pool that we were all caught in. At first, I grabbed the girl, and one of the pillars, and got her to saftey, while my mother was trying to hold on to me, until I shook her off, and she went under the whirl pool. After that, I went too get my brother and brought him back too. After the water had drained out, we stood on a ledge and saw the surface ground. The entire area was wet, and we were looking over a play ground, and saw life. Then I woke up. This dream reminds me alot about the books I am writing, it has alot of same elements with a powerful person who can control other evil creatures, and the likes of.

Wow, that would be rather scary. Perhaps, you had it, to show you how important your friends mean to you, and that you should talk to them, before the end of days happens.
  22. hahaha! Yeah, but thats why you would need the Chronos badge, I would have no idea what to do for his eyes though, seeing as how cosmetic contacts are so outragiously exspensive. I am really considering going as a celt to the ren fair. But as of now, I lack the funds to purchase anything like that, or to make a costume of one. THis last weekend and week, has been kind of bizarre. I don't know why, just seemed really strange to me. I have a very strong desire to start my drumming skills again. I mean, I never dropped them, but I havent been trying to progress with it either. So I am hoping to pick up where I left off with the double pedal. Not, much has really been happening, just been kind of dull lately. Anyways, I hope everyone has a Great Valentines Day!
  23. Every family has their moments like this. I mean, part of my family and myself just went through a crapy 4 months of crapola. I would say, prob be passive. I mean, you don't want to add fuel to the fire, but I wouldn't say avoid the problem either. I don't know if you have tried this before, and I don't mean to "burst into your family life" so to speak. However, trying to be polite and mannerly, helped me alot while I was up north, though there were many times, I wanted to, and could have, said some really hurtful and mean things. I held my tongue, and tried to do the right thing as much as I could. And, eventually the agression died down. As far as the music, your not the only one who gets ideas from listening to music. Actually listening to music, is one of my times of meditation. It's when I get a visual look, and feel for most of my stories, and I've had this trait ever sense I was really young, around the age of 5. Oddly, enough, I've been told, that heavy rock/metal, or music in general, does have a similar affect on alot of people.
  24. Mirabilis replied to Steel's topic in General 'whatever'.
Well, looking at from our age, it doesn't seem to be all that scary, however, at the time I was a mere todler, and it scared the crap out of me. I don't know if i was crying, like I did from most of my other nightmares, but I know that it bothered me even at that age. This was NOT the worste nightmare I've ever had, not by a long shot. But, it still was bothersome to me, at least, at that age. (I hope this didn't seem like I was attacking you ryuki, because that's not how I intend it to be, more of, explainitory) In regards, to what you said about my life being very controlled, some of my friends felt the same way. So, I can see what you mean about that. I took into contexts what you said, and thought about it for a while, and it sparked another theory. Perhaps, this dream or nightmare, was telling me, I wanted to run away, from something I didn't think was safe, but was also afraid of the unknown. Hence, the woods, dragon, and goblin. But that overall, the children's house, would ultimately be destroyed by the unknown. Hence, the children being devoured by the dragon. Is that fessible, or am I way out in the left field here? hahaha.
  25. Mirabilis replied to Steel's topic in General 'whatever'.
I dont mind sharing, this all happened in my past anyways. Besides, I would love to see what you can intepret for some of these, because (besides the obvious) I have no idea why I dreamt some of this stuff. To start off, I will share one of my earliest nightmares. I was three years old, I believe it was actually some day in July, 1993, anyways, the dream took place in my families house, on shepard air force base. One floor, no stairs. Anyways, so I go into my bedroom, and the room is huge! The ceiling was about 40 ft, and the walls were very far apart. In my room, it was kind of like a orfinange (spelling?) THere were many kids, who had many beds. ON the beds they made igloo's with teir blankets and covers, and would go inside of them to sleep. Anyways, on the back wall, there was a giant, fancy window. It was late at night, and a very large (Eru style) dragon came over. I got p to go look at it (up close to the window) and he looked in at me, smiled and left. I was freaked out, but another kid saw it, told the others, and they all crowded by the window. I ran and hid in one of the blanket igloo's for a few moments, but left soon after because I knew he was going to eat them all. When I ran outside, the house now looked like an old school church (not catholic more like a southern baptist) even though it was not a church. It was way out in the woods, and had a massive parkinglot, made out of gravel road. Oddly, it became day, I ran and hid in one of the cars, when out of nowhere this little, fuzzy, goblin/grimlin thing was bouncing around the parkinglot saw me in the car. At first he was surprised, but then kind of happy, because he knew where i was, and ran into the woods to tell the dragon he found me. I then woke up, and was quite disturbed about it. Even to this day, I still do not know it's meaning, but it has never left my mind either.
