  1. Ok so since it's the 26th of the month, I went to the local bookstore to pick up Shonen Ace and, for the second time in the past 6 months, there was no Guyver. This is despite it saying last month that it would continue this month. I am so pissed at this bullshit that Shonen Ace are pulling now. In fact, I tweeted them immediately with this tweet before throwing the magazine straight in the bin. For those who can't read Japanese, I said: "You fooled me again. Last month it said that Guyver would continue this month but once again, for second the time in 6 months, you've lied to us all and not actually printed it. Any chance you can stop lying? Do you only do this because you know there's a lot of people that wouldn't buy your boring as drenn magazine each month if it didn't have the Guyver? Is that why you don't announce that it isn't actually inside? Stop ripping us off!!" There, I went straight to the assholes and said my piece. Shonen Ace costs the same as a Tankobon of the Guyver so you imagine why I am so pissed off right guys? I hate wasting money needlessly. Oh and btw, Guyver wasn't listed on the "in next month's issue" page either so don't expect anything soon. Well, I say that but Shonen Ace make it up as they go along so who knows, right? As of now, I'm only buying Shonen Ace when I see a scan go up. I'm not falling for their disgraceful tactics anymore. Grrrr
  2. I think he doesn't care for revenge. I mean, he's been screwed over numerous times with kidnappings, deaths of family/friends and betrayal... He's always been the more mature man about it. As we've seen, he's more primarily concerned about what he can protect now, rather than worrying about the past. That's not to say that he might have words with Balcus if the two ever meet again... But again, he just had someone who thoroughly betrayed him try and kill him... And after beating him, shared information on his biggest trump card.
  3. Oh yes. Which is a pretty big flaw of the movie I'd say. Making your main character unlikable can work, but honestly bad acting and poor script really just made him crap, and brings down the movie even more. Now, it worked well for us in terms of Fanfiction, but for a movie's main character... Not so much. Sure, in Dark Hero he was still troubled, but had gotten over the dickishness of the first movie's character
  4. For Aptom to "evolve" he really needs a true Zoa-Crystal. Not impossible though, if he attacked a weakened Zoalord and removed its zoa-crystal then absorbed his left over body he'd basically be a super being. Caerlon's body better be sealed away somewhere safe or incinerated
  5. Well basically I had a few questions regarding why Apollon is chasing Guyot, when he already mentioned he had no need for his fake crystal. And why there is now a house on the Mysterious Island. Just why and what the heck is Archanfel doing in there. Why is he just chilling with Tetsuo and Mizuki. Also, did Valkyria ever explain where she found the Guyver unit she owns? Those are my questions. Awesome! No trust me I'm not about to waste a necropost on a one word answer, that would be stupid. I have far more to contribute to a topic than that. Apparently my volumes are set to come in by June 15th. I have the raw scans but I would really like to read the full translated text on what's going down. It looks great and things are really picking up. Also also, Apollon's blade technique looks a lot like Li's blade. Wonder if he used his technique or it's a variation. Perhaps it was his own. The character reminds me a lot of Black Oak, one of the Metarex from Sonic X.
  6. Probably yeah. I mean, sure, we still got Dark Hero, with a much smaller budget, and it was a much better movie... but essentially it still had to live with what happened in the first movie. That being said, I doubt it really hurt the franchise at all... Since it was pretty much almost unknown anyway at that point. Only a small North American Anime community even knew about it at the time. If anything, nowadays it probably brings more people into the community... Since watching and making fun of bad movies is kind of a big thing. And they watch one of those videos and hear that "Oh there is an anime and manga about this... Might be worth checking out" kind of deal.
  7. Mind, since there's no detailed official data file to draw such information from that any discussion on this is unofficial but based on what is shown and what little the data files do state I believe we can conclude the following.. The Guyver technology draws its power from a apparently energy filled dimension called the Boost Dimension, which is also where the unit is stored when not in use. Initial activation of the unit creates a direct link to the Boost Dimension that allows a rapid infusion of energy into the host and thus empowers the Guyver... From that point forward the unit's gravity control orb acts as a trickle charger, continuously siphoning energy from the Boost Dimension at a rate sufficient to maintain the charge and grant the Guyver it's level of regeneration... It doesn't mean the Guyver can never tire but as long as it paces itself it can literally go on forever or until the host is no longer to mentally go on... We know from the official data file that the host internal organs are either replaced by superior versions (heart and lungs) or regressed/removed as unnecessary as the Guyver doesn't need to eat, etc. The Gigantic draws upon this base and mainly differs in that vastly increases how much of its mass is composed of energy, essentially turning the physical form into a kind of energy construct and is why losing too much energy can cause it to collapse and de-activate... But the Gigantic has it's own gravity control orbs, a additional one in each chest plate, that combined with the host unit makes three and all three are continuously siphoning energy from the Boost Dimension... So, unless the Gigantic is drained of too much energy faster than it can replace it then it should last indefinitely... Just like the host unit... Exceed form takes this to its logical conclusion by using the power amps to amplify the energy siphoning process to a massive scale but means access to the Exceed form likely means the Gigantic can siphon all the energy it could ever need and thus would only lose too much energy if the host is careless and allows energy levels to drop too low... Mind, a Zoalord relies on a charge within its Zoacrystal for most of their power and that needs a external method to recover that energy afterward... Unlike a Guyver they don't self recharge... and is one of the Guyver's key advantages. Also, it adds to the reason why a Guyver Zoalord would be so dangerous as it essentially would remove the Zoalord's charge limit...
  8. It's not that big of a deal, especially when you've noted that you've gone back and read threads. Asking questions that may have been answered already is perfectly fine. I mean you could also just make a "APOLLYON'S BIG QUESTION THREAD'O'RAMA" and keep all the questions in one thread, or create a few. It's all good really. "Bad necro posting" is finding an old topic and posting things like "Cool!" or "Did not know that!" ect... That do not further the discussion. But if it is a question of comment that contributes something NEW to the topic, it's not a bad thing at all really.
  9. what a joke just when i thought we were on for a good run of chapters at this rate we only get a few chapters a year, by the time another chapter comes along we will have to recap on the older ones, bring back the old days.
  10. Its a Kinkeshi!! you may remember those little orange men called "Musclemen" from the 80's? This is a guyver custom of one those that's why it's so cheap! It's only a couple of centimeters tall! Grab it! It's Super rare!!
  11. I wouldn't mind seeing a cross between Guyver and Postal 2. The Postal Dude is the right kind of anti-hero for the lead in such a game. It'd be sorta like Guyver and Deadpool. Or maybe a cross between Deadpool and Guyver.
  12. hey everyone, this is my current collection, I actually wasn't planning to collecting the figures, but after seeing how beautiful the figures i decided to collect the ones I like. I noticed that no one is collecting the small ones I don't know why, they look really nice and they have Yentsui and Gresilda! I also made a purchase a while back I think it was a bargain, I got the following figures: Zx-tole, Neo Zx-tole, Aptom, Gyuot, Guyver 1 (old version), Guyver 2, Guyver 3, Murakami, Gigantic Guyver 3. all those figures are sealed and in mint condition, got them all for $850, so basically I got each one for less than $100. when I get those figures the only ones I'll be missing are Pluqstahl, Gignatic Guyver 1, Evil Aptom, Imakarum, I'll get the first three figures in a month or two, but Imakarum is still no where to be found online -.-
