I don't think the world can go back to normal ever again. People know now that there is something inside them that can be stirred awake - something monstrous, powerful and violent. There will always be people trying to find ways to become a Zoanoid or turn others into them.

A think a normal life the crew is something that they will most likely never experience. This is a, lack for better word; experience that even after they've completed what they've set out to do they won't be able to just walk away from it. Like Chernaudi had said, they will probably be spending the majority of their time rebuilding/reshaping society and possibly wiping out Chronos loyalist. After that it will just be something as simple as ruling the world and maintenence.

Honestly this movie is one of the best ones I have seen so far this year, the ending does bug me but does not prevent me from enjoying the movie, I will read the manga whenever I get the chance to see how it stacks up.
