March 21, 201610 yr So, Daredevil Season 2 has dropped on Netflix. Thoughts? I just finished it this morning due to having to work all weekend. I really liked it for the most part. The Punisher stuff was great, the newer Daredevil costume was much better than the older design, and The Kingpin parts were pretty great too. And while I thought the actress who played Elektra was good, the whole "the Hand" plotline seemed a bit too odd for the series... But given that we've had powers and soon magic in the marvel universe, I guess it does try to make it a bit more on the level... but since the series has been trying to make everything more "Street level Real", it kind of felt out of place in this particular series... Even though if they are sticking to some comic plotlines, it was bound to happen. If anything, I think they feel they screwed up by killing Ben Urich in the first season, so having Karen become a reporter in his office felt a little forced... And Foggy's role in the season felt very reduced... But was still welcome. Still, a very enjoyable season. Overall everything was tied together in relative synchronization... even if I still felt the mysticism from The Hand felt slightly out of place in the way the series presented itself at first. Bring on Luke Cage and Iron Fist! ...and possibly a Punisher series now that we know how great he was.
