Public Display of Affection?

Featured Replies

How do you, and if applicable, your partner feel about PDA? (public displays of affection)

Although I don't mind it. If someone doesn't want to see it. I always supposed just not to look. My wife is against it though because she feels people will view her badly for it. So we don't do it in public.

There are just some things that you do not do publicly.  I'm ok with mild PDA like a quick peck and holding hands.  But making out in public is very tasteless for me.  Go get a room!

I think the vast majority of people who utilize massive PDA are the same ones that must place their status, no matter how insignifigant on social sites... like "I just sneezed!" LOOK AT ME!! All sad attempts to fill a void by obtaining un needed attention. Nothing wrong with being with someone you care about and showing them your affection, but when it seems like a shallow attempt to gain said attention is where I see the issue.

I agree with you.  that's probably most evident in today's selfie generation.  I just don't get why you need to take a selfie.  And then taking a selfie while making out, now that's more weird.

Selfie pics... selfie sticks... selfie is an actual word. It's just sad that society is obsessed with itself. All for the most mediocre of things too. Perhaps that is the adult in me talking. Or just common... or more aptly, uncommon sense. ... and queue the obligatory LOL!!
