July 31, 201510 yr I have strange login problems, the front page showing me I'm not logged in. If I try to sign in on the front page it gives me an error. But when I go to any topic it says I logged in. Also there may be some security breach, there is some text in Kenji's signature: Ryuki, upgrade your forum software if it is outdated. An annonymous user can use the login credentials automatically of a member without attempting to log-in. This friendly message is not from Kenji Murakami.

An annonymous user can use the login credentials automatically of a member without attempting to log-in. This friendly message is not from Kenji Murakami. That message was from me. It appears that the problem still persists. I cannot properly log-out of my own account. As such, someone could potentially hijack my login credentials by simply accessing the forum, and impersonate me. Please continue to look into this security threat. August 1, 201510 yr Thank you Guyver Four. I have removed all custom scripts and anything that may interfere with the software. It appears to have fixed it. I went away from the site and entered via the front page. that seemed to be a problem before and i thought i'd caught it but evidently not. this time i tried it and it all appears correct.this pretty much means the logins for the wiki are toast. it was messed up anyway. but now it's completely removed and I don't know how to get it back.
August 2, 201510 yr Sadly the issue seems to still exist. And may be worse than we think... Since I doubt any of our members would post a random spam link to gay porn.
August 3, 201510 yr i'm no computer or internet expert, but could the site possibly be getting attacked by some type of bug and/or malicious code thats attached itself somewhere? seems like a virus i once had many years ago that was slowly erasing and rewriting my system. oohh, hang on a second, this isn't my profile!!??
August 7, 201510 yr There has been a caching issue, caused by the web hosts caching the site due to cpu usage anomalies. once the cpu anomalies were repaired, they did not uncache properly and this caused the security holes. I have therefore instructed them to rollback the site to a previous version and since you can read this now, it appears they have done so.I'm not going to assume everything is solved, I'll just have to wait and see if anyone comes back into this topic with any further issues.I'm now trying to figure out a way to repair the wiki. It was the cause of the cpu anomalies ( was getting flooded by bots and that is similar to a DDOS, it's just not done by people, it's sort of like malware) and i had to restrict access to editing facilities. at some point I can figure out how to remove the aberrant user accounts and remove the damage.
August 8, 201510 yr Seems like I wasn't the only one dealing with this weirdness. I'm... not sure how to feel about that, really.
