I really liked episode 15 because it showed that even though the Gundams can take down hordes of any other MS, in a well planned scenario with government funding, they can be taken down effectively. That's one thing I hated about the other Gundam series. Just because it was a war, doesn't mean that can't think of any way of defeating a single suped up mech besides using their own suped up mech. But Celestial beings is always a step ahead with their unending supply of secret weapons and abilities!

Episode 17 was pretty good too, I went on a huge rant about it on anijunkie.com. Its a good, organized site of links to different anime. Just click episode 17 and read what I said.

Well, with the way things are going, I think the sooner or later, both group of Gundam Meisters would be clashing swords. I'm thinking that the trinity siblings are enhance humans. Why else would Mikhail mock Halleluah, not to mention his use of those newtype trade marked funnel-like fangs.

Posted

Their definitely not normal mentally, but to assume their enhanced is saying a lot. I do agree I see a lot of similarities between Trinity and the "druggies" from SEED and Destiny. I actually liked those doped up psychos though, at least the first generation of them.

Posted

Well, seems those trinity kids ain't much of a pilot seeng how one of them got wasted by a souped up flag. It's still refreshing to watch a Gundam series not hating the main character. I'm looking forward to the next episode, seems like were going to see some action between the meisters. And judging from the preview, Setsuna gets more than a reprimand again for his actions.

I miss that feeling. Thankfully, though (or perhaps I should be swearing because of it), pretty much every character in the series gets a decent amount of screen-time (including all the unimportant secondary characters, such as Saji Crossroad. Seriously, the most important thing he's done in the series is be Setsuna's clueless neighbor.)

Edit: Okay, I saw the new episode, and I think I'm beginning to see what Saji's purpose is: they're giving us a civilian character that we care about so they can kill him and/or ruin his life and make us hate his killer/life-ruiner later. Also, while Setsuna is far from my favorite character right now, I'm beginning to hate him less. Plus, that scene where Graham attacked the Throne was awesome. That was a very good episode.

I wonder how many times Saji and those close to him are going to be screwed over before the series ends? The way I see it, this is just the beginning of a lot of bad **** for them.

My sentiments exactly!

I'm sorry Saji. Its what I wanted and it's really beautiful, but...

I cracked up when I saw it!

Also, Throne is...

Our predictions for the series are going like clockwork!: The finite operation time of Trinity, Thrones case of the crazies, their upcoming fight, that the reporter gets a big scoop, and Saji's role to some extent.

Is it good that the series is going exactly as we hoped or is it bad that its completely predictable? Poll?

Ok, after pointing that out, I've come to think that Saji is a shallow kid. He proposes to Louise and just because she got into that condition he runs away. Isn't he supposed to be there for her even more? Or am I missing something here? Although I don't want to make comparisons, I'm looking at Saji and Louise like how I looked at Flay in Seed.

Actually, I don't think he was proposing to Louise, I think he was just giving her a gift she had asked for. That said, Saji really didn't know what he was getting into when he went in there. He didn't know her parents had died, and didn't know she'd lost a hand (and actually brought a present that just made things worse).

Posted

At least things seems to have calmed down a little. Louise is a little level headed and I'm afraid that she might go psycho any moment.

Finally seen the Meisters do formation attacks, and a little bonding I might add.

Say, any idea on what exactly is Veda? So who's actually directing the Celestial Beings, the old guy (forgot his name), or the rich guy (also forgot his name)? I'm afraid my predictions for this series are way off. Which is probably why I'm enjoying the series.

Let's sum up the last episode:

Setsuna, Tieria, and Lockon all attacked the new Gundams, but the new Gundams ran away before anyone died or any Gundams were severely damaged, leaving us exactly where we started: 2 opposing teams of Gundams which are soon going to clash. The real power of the secret mode of the Virtue Gundam, Nadleah, was revealed, but then revealed to be worthless since it can just be turned off remotely. Setsuna's past that everyone who watches the show regularly already knew about was revealed. Louise broke up with Saji Crossroad, but again, Saji isn't actually important to the plot, so I don't really care. Lockon was going to shoot Setsuna, but decided not to. And the episode ended with me wondering whether those metal things were missiles or pods of some sort.

All in all, a "meh" episode. I don't know, I was just expecting more out of the big fight scene than "we'll settle this later!"

yeah, and I was expecting more from Nadaleh. I do wonder if Exia and Dynames has any other secrets or techniques. I also noticed that if both the Gundam Meisters clash, aren't they in conflict with their true purpose. I mean, they are there to end conflict, yet they are also the one starting conflict.

All in all, a "meh" episode.

They're GN drives, 30 of them, 10 for every side. If only Veda wasn't hacked and Nadaleh worked, but nooooo they had to let the crazies prance through their ship without even being watched!

Not much to say without ruining the story for you.

It's time for another one of my rather insensitive reviews of a raw episode of Gundam 00!

ZOMG MASSIVE SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 20!!!!

As the episode starts, we see Saji playing with his cell phone. He's reading his mail, and he gets a message, probably from Louise, since he thinks back to the time on the spaceship (I don't know why he chose that particular memory, since going into space is apparently cheaper than getting a ring now, but whatever), after which he starts crying. The intro plays, and the scene switches back to a conference meeting, which is apparently announcing that Celestial Being's interventions have led to the United Nations forming the largest armed force in history (Would we call this irony, or just poor management of their operation?). After which, the scene switches to the princess with the hots for Setsuna, despite hardly knowing him and him actually being an enemy agent, who reminds us once again that she is worried about some enemy dude she hardly knows.

A quick scene change later, we find Setsuna, Lockon, and Tieria are all being punished for acting on their own almost as severely as Allelujah was a few episodes back, except that they're all in the same room, and they have a window. We then switch to the various nations of the world, who have obtained the same GN systems the Gundams have. Somehow. Despite them taking several years to develop. Also, despite the AEU developing new mobile suits using the GN drives, Graham Akre apparently refuses to use them in favor of of his flag (which isn't completely unreasonable, since he kicked a Gundam's ass using it earlier, but still). Also, red-haired dude with the hots for his captain proposes to his captain. She apparently shoots him down, refusing to even accept the flowers he brought her and slamming the door in his face, after which he cheers. >_>

Scene change over to the evil guy Setsuna hates, who is apparently talking about panties with some older guy (well, I think pantsu means panties). And while I may not be able to completely (or even partially) understand what the hell they were saying, I can tell when someone's using their "sexy voice." And evil dude used his "sexy voice" on the older dude, after which the older guy tells him something, and I swear he says "so sorry." While evil dude is leaving, Saji's sister stops him by running in front of his car. She then gets in the car with him and, probably in exchange for something, manages to get him to spill the beans on everything he knows, including that his side has GN drives and is trying to make their own Gundams. During the conversation between evil dude and Saji's sister, evil dude uses the exact same tone of voice as Vampire Hallelujah. As he does so, he even grows fangs, which is why, from now on, I will dub that tone of voice the "vampire voice." The scene changes to Saji, who mentions something about his ni-san (which, judging from Full Metal Alchemist, means "brother," which means that, since we haven't seen any brother of his, his sister is actually a cross-dressing guy). Later on, we see Saji's "sister" lying bleeding in an alleyway, from which I drew the conclusion that evil dude thought he was going to get some, found out "she" was a dude, and killed her.

After a quick scene change to the watchers, whose entire conversation goes by as uninterpretable to me, we switch back over to the Gundam Throne meisters. Micheal and Nena talk, the robot calls Micheal an idiot. The leader shows up and talks about the mission plan, at which point the pig-tailed Chinese girl from the meister's side shows up. Micheal pulls a knife on her, but the leader tells him to put it away. Pigtailed girl manages to piss the Trinity trio off, but the leader seems to make some sort of deal with her, and she leaves. The robot makes some sort of snide comment, and Nena kicks it. Pigtailed girl is shown flying away in a pink jet, and makes some remark that is probably supposed to be dramatic foreshadowing.

The scene changes to the current meisters, who are getting orders from Veda (I think). Lockon, Tieria, and Setsuna are acting like friends now, which is noticed by Allelujah, who didn't fight against Trinity, and who they treat the same as before. However, before anybody brings this up, there is a scene change to the Trinity Trio, who are attacking yet another military base. However, they are quickly attacked by an entire fleet of mock Gundams, which kicks their asses. During the ass kicking, the white haired super-soldier girl sings about how strong the Gundams are, even as she kicks the ass of one of the members of Gundam throne. The terrible trio retreat, but the captain doesn't let white haired super-soldier girl chase them, choosing instead to let the three extremely dangerous enemies escape despite presently having advantages in both numbers and firepower. The members of the military base sing praises of the captain's poor judgement, and the trio escapes into the sky.

The scene changes to the real meisters, who are apparently receiving news of Trinity's failure at the hands of the pseudo-Gundams. We then get a nice, slow panning scene, during which we get to see the various "Oh drenn!" looks of the meisters. We then get a scene changed to the pig-tailed Chinese girl, who doesn't appear to be surprised by the news of the pseudo-Gundams, after which we get an immediate scene change to the watchers, who are apparently on the moon. One of them does that eye thing Tieria does all the time, and they enter a room filled with blue lights, which is apparently Celestial Being's network. Or something.

The episode ends, and the credits roll.

And is it just me, or are the Trinity "siblings" actually of different ethnicities?

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, the evil dude Setsuna hates may have already had fangs. If that's the case, then maybe I shouldn't refer to that tone of voice as the "vampire voice." Eh, screw it. Only characters that have fangs have used it so far anyways.

Well subs just came out, and sexy voice is way off...

though the Kurdish dude did shave just so he could get the reporter in his car. He wasn't tricked, he saw someone snooping and thought why not kill her and have fun at the same time!

Wow, Sajii's life really sucks now!

They said that they can't regrow Louise's hand because of nerve damage caused by the GN particles, but she moved the hand so why not cut off the damaged section and regrow the rest? If we can clone hands then what's the problem? Oh noes future health insurance doesn't cover past the wrist even if your the daughter of rich ass white people!

Posted

Feels kinda sudden to me though, I would expect more back story and character development, but this is nice. I just hope we don't get emo Sajii changing the fate of the world just because his girlfriend is missing a hand, and his sister got stabbed.

Now that the playing fields are leveled, it would be interesting to see what the Gundam Meister can do. And I'm interested with the GN arms they are talking about. Could this be like the Meteor units in Seed? I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot more of new mechs in the coming months. It's been a tradition in the Gundam universe that the main protagonists gets new powerful units. I hope they don't do the same here. Hopefully, the upgrade they get would only have new attachements. And I'm hoping that the GN arms are like that.

No, I think the butt buddies (That Celestial being observer with this orange ponytail and his green haired man-servant) are stealing them. Its too soon for the new powerful units I also.

For the record, anyone else really hate those two?

EDIT:

Ok, they do screw everyone over! I think Lockon died because of their meddling.

I hope not. Teira must be feeling very bad now. Especially after their "bond". So how exactly is Tiera linked to Veda?

Edit: Also checked MAHQ. The GN Arms are Meteor like attachments. Oooh, wonder what else it can do.
